It's listed as a mystery coupon but everyone has reported that it's always a coupon for "25% Off Any Pre-Owned Purchase" that expires on 11/17.

If it ever changes into something else I'll update this post.

25% Off Any Pre-Owned Purchase Subject to availability by location. Limit 1 coupon per customer. Coupon must be surrendered upon redemption. Prices subject to change. While supplies last. Cannot be combined with any other offer. See store associate for details. No dealers. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only. Void where prohibited. GameStop, Inc. reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the offer for any reason without notice. Offer Valid 10/28/13 through 11/17/13.

Went and looked at the iPads and the prices were ridiculous even for older models. The prices online are cheaper than in store by quite a bit.
I assume you went off the price at the display case. The price is the same in store as online (plus an extra 10%). I got a 4th gen 16gb for $278 the other day.

I went off the price the employee was reading off to me on the computer because my store only one model and went and said 'come on, you guys have more than one iPad of course, right?' and then he brought them up and that's the prices he told me.

are you guys really flipping the ipads?

how much profit is there
well i bought mine to keep, but the trade in value for a good condition ipad 4 32gb wifi is 305. and i paid 303 for it. then combine that with the 30% extra trade in. assuming you dont have to pay tax thats like 90 dollars in credit right there.

only 30% extra or 50% if you buy used product?

Yep. Refurbished 32gb Black Deluxe or whatever it's called. After the 25% it was $202.49 [not counting taxes]. I'm also a PUR Pro member so that may of gave me a discount but I doubt it.
Yeah, that was the price I paid today after coupon. that was after trading in a iPhone 4s today for $260.

I did my first ever flip with this... Was pretty nervous, especially since you're talking about such high value trades. But, the store where I bought the iPad (4th gen 32gb) in immaculate condition only took 5 minutes to sell it to me, and the store where I traded it back in again 10 minutes later accepted it with a smile. Since it was graded like new (absolutely no marks whatsoever on it, makes me wonder who traded it in the first place) I got 458.9 (353 base TIV + 30% promo) dollars of store credit on a 304 dollar purchase. So roughly a 150 dollar gain in store credit. Just about enough to net me a free 5th gen iPod touch. Score!

Keep in mind that tomorrow is the last day of the 10% discount on pre-owned electronics.

should i reserve in store via online or call them? or just show up at store

they have limited stock

urgent responses please xD

Jealous. I'd buy one to keep at that price, but there's no stock anywhere near me and I don't want to buy from online and have to eat shipping plus tax. I really wish Gamestop.com could get its crap together and stop charging tax for trade credit in states where credit purchases are tax free.

Dude... I might have considered a PSPgo for that... Crazy. What kind of condition was it in?
It was in mint condition (though I have seen some pretty bad ones in the past). It looked as if the person used it maybe once or twice and got over it. for 37.49, the dualshock 3 compatibility and video out, the thing sold itself. If you see one, I recommend getting it at this price!

So, I'm broke now after buying my Wii U and and currently don't have much money coming in but have like two or three of these coupons left so if you guys would make good use of them let me know.

Rule 1: No you can't have more than one.

Rule 2: You have had to be a member for at least a year.

Rule 3: If you have ANY negative feedback on the marketplace then don't bother.

The perfect storm may be happening tomorrow between Gamestop and Target.  The last day of the 10-20% off electronics and the first day Target is offering a minimum $200 for any ipad traded towards a new ipad Air.  The wording is a bit ambiguous and it could be interpreted only the previous generation, but it also says "any" ipad.  There is precedence that it will be paid out as a gift card and not just a discount off your purchase of an Air so we could be looking at $200 Target gift cards for first and second gen(scratch and dent)  ipads bought for around $100 from Gamestop with the 25% coupon.  The ipad only has to power on and show no screen damage or cracks.  We'll see how it plays out starting around 11am EST tomorrow.  It could be a great day!

I would totally do this if we can get a confirmation that Target will just give you a GC as I don't need a new iPad. There's actually a scratch n scuff iPad 1 at my local GS.

Thats amazing, please do report back.

Has anyone done a flip on a iPad 4 16GB? The closest 32GB is about a 2 hour drive from me, so if I wanted to try this the 16GB would be my only option. So I was curious if anyone had done this and what their net gain was at the end.

Nevermind. Found some info. Definitely interested in how this goes!

Sorry I can't post links but I found this from GeekSugar:

"From Nov. 3 to Nov. 9, get an online appraisal of your device and receive at least a $200 Target trade-in gift card, which can be used to purchase new iPad Air or any other Target merchandise. Currently, an iPad 2 in black with WiFi in working condition can be traded in for $125 in Target credit. On Nov. 3, that value will be upped to $200.

After Nov. 9, you'll receive up to $300 in Target gift card credit for old iPads, with no minimum trade-in value promised. A brand new iPad 2 with WiFi costs $399 from the Apple store. If Target doesn't offer the value you think you deserve or can't take your iPad, then try selling it on your own or send it to recycling."

It looks like starting tomorrow every iPad will be upped to at least $200! Just in time for the b2g1 video game sale at Target.

I've traded in games multiple times at Target. The mobile rep in the electronics section handles the trades, and they are usually pretty competent. Really painless, especially compared to Best Buy. Big thanks to QSilverTwo for the heads up. If Target is giving out gift cards this could be a great deal.

Thanks for the heads up! Fingers crossed... I figure if the Nexworth TIV calculator has varying condition modifiers on video games, it probably has something for tablets but the minimum TIV should cover that.

There is a scratch and scuff ipad 2 at the local store here, I have no expierence with target trading in.  Can anyone share how they would handle the trade in and do you have to do it online prior?

If you're doing the trade in-store, you don't have to do anything online prior to your visit. When arriving at Target, head to the electronics section and look for the register next to the cell phone area. There should be a Target mobile employee (usually wearing a black polo if I remember correctly) right there who will handle the transaction. They look up your item using the kiosk PC that has the same interface and price as the online quotes page, they ask for ID (at least here they do), then they give you your gift card.

Ok now I remember when target had the good TIV for some older games it was through the mobile guys, very painless experience.

If everything don't go according to plan is it easy to do an iPad return at GS? Is it the same as any other return?

Thanks so much!

There is a popular thread covering the Target deal on Slickdeals.  Just follow that if you want exact up to the minute details tomorrow morning.  The real question is whether or not we can trade in more than one ipad or not.  Oh, and keep in mind the Target mobile rep is probably not gonna be there at store opening, according the the website... more like 11 am.  Keep your fingers crossed!

No stores within 200 miles of me are showing is that for nextworth or target? And is the online store finder accurate ?

I think the trade in app is down, I just tried a handfull of zips around the country and none came up.

probably will be up tomorrow

This has been informative ... may be making some trips tomorrow

If my calculations are correct, you will make approximately $40 more in GS credit moving ipads than you will in Target gc conversions ($141 gs maximum profit vs $108 Target maximum profit per transaction). Now that's assuming you can sell back an ipad at the like-new level, if they knock you down to good then you'd get a little more profit at Target for a 16 gb wifi or wifi 3g scratch and scuff at the $200 gc level. However, if you pick up a 32 gb wifi scratch and scuff or even a 16 gb wifi "good" system or anything above those, you're only looking at a profit of between $72 to $86.75. Not bad, but probably not worth the effort. (please note, these calculations don't take tax into account)

Then again, math was never my strong point, so others may have better ideas on maximizing profits ... needless to say, the guys moving 10 of these are making a nice profit ... sucks to be late to the party ;-)

Can someone explain how you are getting the ipad for cheap at gs? Not seeing this. I'll give a b1g1 wii/ds coupon to the first person to post it as a thank you.
