I went into the local Best Buy (Ohio Valley) an hour ago to pick up my Tomb Raider preorder, but they still do not have the game in stock. I was told to check back in a day or two, but their site is now showing a release date of February 4th... I'm expecting the sale to be blocked by the register even if it does arrive before then, which obviously blows the chance of using that 10% off coupon on this game.
Frustrating that Gamestop has been selling the game for nearly a week, while Best Buy customers will likely have to wait a full week after the release date.

It'll work with the Ibotta app. I think the only restriction is it can't be a price match. Ibotta doesn't care how you pay/use coupons/etc. I've bought groceries at Target that were on sale, used cartwheel for 5% off and then used Ibotta to get back roughly $0.30 more than I paid for the item. Used this on a 12 month Xbox Live card last night. It scanned just fine, said 10% off on the screen but didn't actually take 10% off. Luckily the store clerk was like, "that's stupid, I'll just do it." and gave me the 10% off manually.

Has anyone successfully used this 10% off with an item on sale? I tried late last week with Killzone that was on sale for $49.99 (of course now it being 39.99) and they said it would not work. I thought he scanned the coupon, but he might have pretended to instead. He said it wouldn't work because the game was on sale.

According to Mike on the BB forums, the game just hit their warehouses today and won't be in stores until tomorrow. They are working on updating the website to reflect that today is the actual release date and not 02/04/14.

Coupon actually says "markdown taken from sale prices" as the very first line. Not a hard argument to make that it should apply.
You can alert them that you`re not getting promotional emails on the forums pages there`s also threads regarding the 10% ones that used to be text/coupons each month along with a copycat of the GS b-day coupon offers

Was what my response was, but it was a no go. I didn't push it any further, but was just curious if anyone successfully used it with no intervention.
Where are you getting the $5 ibotta app coupon? the only deal for me on Ibotta was spend $100 at BBY and get $10 back.
Probably still going to have to wait till tomorrow (unless your lucky enough to find an employee willing to look in the back). The in store pick up still says "pre-order" (but with today's date). I just called my local store to see if it was in stock and the girl said no.
Edit: Now the listing on the site says "Not available for store pickup". Oh well, gotta be patient I suppose.

That should work I gave my friend my 20 dollar off xbl coupon and he was able to use that on his gcu account. I would be Interested in trading you if tomb raider is indeed in the store to be sold. I have the Xbox one coupon looking for a ps4 one.

Went over to best buy today and they didn't have any ps4/xbone tomb raiders in but they said they have trucks to unload tonight. Gonna check in the morning to see if they got any in stock.
Waiting again to see if anyone finds Tomb Raider PS4 in stores today. There are now two listings for the PS4 version on bestbuy.com: one that is not available for shipping with no in store pickup option and one that is "coming soon" for shipping and unavailable at all stores within 100 miles.

I'm going in 45 minutes, should be able to report back by noon CST. Hopefully the guy I know at this store is working so he can actually check RSS and take a trip to the back. I'd really hate to get fussy over this, but the whole thing has been a mess! I don't even know why I want this b/c the OG disc has been sitting in my PS3 since I got the PS4...I guess I want to see a truly non-next-gen game
Edit. Was able to get an RSS check on both the PS4 skus, both at zero with screen confirmation. She refused to call the back insisting the system is perfect, which implied shes not familiar with laziness of store warehouse employees

Tomb raider was in store today but it wasn't on the shelf. I had to explain to the guy that they were supposed to get some in on a truck last night and how the release date is today. After looking around he finally was able to go in the back and look. He came back with a ps4 copy but the store was only getting like 2 or 3 in and only a couple stores in the area. So best bet is to find a store with _ copies in transit.

Just got back from my local Best Buy and the guy only had 2 copies of Tomb Raider left for the Xbox One (was not on the shelf). 10% off coupon did not work as the supervisor kept telling me that you cannot combine the coupon with the Gamers Club Unlocked discount....
Yeah they did and it was one of those scans where the computer took it, but it shows 0.00 in terms of taking off anything. I also had some PC gaming accessories on the transaction and I am wondering if something else I had on my receipt screwed it up. I might take the stuff to a different Best Buy with friendlier employees and see what I can do.
I was told it wouldn't work because the game was on sale, but maybe he was wrong and it didn't work with GCU. I'm planning on giving it another go tomorrow with Tomb Raider to see if it correctly stacks with GCU. Others have previously reported that it stacked with the GCU discount.

Just got back from best buy, got the ps4 version of tomb raider. They had to go find it in the back. Used the 10% coupon and my unlocked 20%, cashier had to write something in the system to get the coupon to work. It was $43 and change before tax. Almost had enough to cover it by trading in my AC4, its like I use best buy as a library these days.

Looking at the trophy list I will most definitely will not be going for platinum.Lvl 60 grind fest, no way. Especially after AC4. Crystal Dynamics should've scraped the mp and made some serious tombs to explore. Well I hope everyone has luck with their coupons !

My local store had Tomb Raider PS4 in the back (the artbook version, oo la la), but no go on stacking the 10% off on GCU. I won't be buying anything else this week, so first person to PM me can have my coupon (PS4 one, as I said).

You can definitely stack coupons with the GCU. I know (most of the time) the @gamer coupons stack with no issues. Your membership gets you 20% off new, and 10% off used - that's not some "offer," it's a paid membership.
Taken from their FAQ. Doesn't say "coupon" but proof that you can "stack"

I would highly recommend getting over to BB today if you want the Tomb Raider Definitive with the art book. My local store which is the largest in the area only got 3 of the art book version for PS4 and they already had a case of the PS4 version without the book that they were selling as well. This could be tough to find in a few days.
I ordered from Amazon this morning and they had 999 art book. They have 850 or so left. Probably will be sold out in a week

I picked up my pre-order for Tomb Raider today as well and the 10% coupon wasn't stacking with my GCU either but the cashier just overrode the price and took an extra 10% off for me. Happy to get my artbook copy and this game is really a great addition to my PS4 library.
It's a pretty flimsy box, so I would highly recommend not going with Amazon as it's also small, so they will likely ship in a bubble envelope.
whew! Was able to grab a copy after getting off my ass thinking the artbook edition may be rare/limited. They had them boxed up on a cart and I just grabbed one. Nobody said anything. Went up to the not but 17 year old clerk and prefaced by saying "I made need a manager b/c this coupon may not be working right." She scanned everything, GCU was applied but wouldn't show me the screen. The numbers of course didn't add up and she said, "No it worked, its an item right here...but it says $0.00"? After the confusion passed, she called for a manager who I had to give 3 rebuttals to in order to get him an over ride. The rock solid argument here, and this is what I said for the final straw: "Look, I got this coupon e-mailed to me as a GCU member that I signed up for a month ago. Why would they send me a 10% coupon for any game, but then every game I buy will have the 20% discount already applied?" He even said, "It's kind of funny when you think about it..."

BB doesn`t code coupons that must be used by a specific person. RZ certs are the only thing tied to a person & that`s linked to the RZ account b/c it`s generated from the RZ account. Anytime there`s a non unique barcode the coupon can be copied + reused.

I don't even care if the 10% off coupon works anymore, I just want my stores to actually carry Tomb Raider PS4.
Not trying to be a naysayer here, but that could easily be interpreted to mean that it only stacks with reward certificate promos. Plus the fact that the coupon we are trying to use explicitly says that it can't be combined with any other offer or discount. I'm glad some people are able to get the stack anyway, but I think the system is actually doing what was intended by not letting it work (no idea why it works without issue for certain games, though).
Oh ok great! So I was able to trade for a coupon, it has their name/ member ID on it, but you're saying I can just go in and use it with my member ID and be good to go?
They`re not gonna ask for ID lol plus even if a guy uses a girls coupon or vice versa just say it`s a girlfriend/boyfriend. Not that it would come to that BB staff can`t even get things to work properly like the 10% off used or 20% off new.
