While $10 is nice ($2.50 even better), if you've actually seen a TF2 box in stores (Best Buy, Target), it's been $10 for a while. But if you can't find it and need the digital copy, $10 ain't bad. Also it's free to play for the weekend.

I noticed newegg also has it for 29.99, as does Radio Shack. Is this a permanent price drop, or is this expected to go back up? Does anyone know if it's been 29.99 at newegg for a while?

I'm still holding out hope to find this locally or a nice online deal. I'm actually surprised more games haven't gone on sale post-christmas. And with the replay value of this, I'm guessing used won't be dropping as quickly.

Open betas have little to nothing to do with getting testing data from beta players anymore. These days Open Beta is more of a marketing opportunity to get your people in the game and generate buzz. Occasionally small tweaks and bug fixes are made from Open Beta feedback, but for the most part...

It's not a storewide free ship for non-members. My email said free ship, but that's pretty much only on the titles listed in the email. Other games in the store still have shipping charges. Also, their site seems to be having problems right now, so maybe things are still be changed.

Last night at the North Austin ArborWalk CC, I picked up Tomb Raider: Legend for 16.96. It was still labeled 29.99; as far as I saw, they were still all labeled their old price.
