This just came in on the intranet this afternoon. Starting tomorrow (2-9), all green tagged items will now be reduced 90%.

Odds are, there isn't much good stuff left...but what IS left will be $1-4, so some of that junk might be worth looking into.

I didn't even know it was on sale, I just checked the price and instantly bought it when I found out.

not a bad game so far, kinda repetitive but alright

I'm from Hialeah.......if that counts. I already hit up 2 stores.....Hialeah and Pembroke Pines. I did pretty good wiht the Hialeah store, but the Pines store had NOTHING. Oh well.

Remember those Nickelodeon contests when we (me, at least) were kids? I think the winner got to run around a TRU, throwing in as much stuff as possible.

Dude, Butt Ugly is awesome! I beleive it is my duty to buy as many copies of that game as possible and burn them. THEN, it will be more 'rare' ;-)
 
No TRU I've been too in my adult life has the ticket system anymore. Some outdated places still have it but they are quite rare.

I called up my younger brother and later my boss who want me to get them some contollers. I also picked up a copy of Morrowind: GOTY for my boss's boyfriend and Red Alert 2 for my younger brother while I was there.

So to recap:

Mark of Kri - 1.50

Primal - 1.50
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X - don't remember price
6 Black GCN controllers (2 for me, 2 for brother, 2 for boss) - 2.50 a piece

A word of advice, ask the electronic people to check the back room. There was completely no evidence of primal, mark of kri, savage skies, or RE...I wouldn't have known unless the lady hadn't brought them out.

I'll try to grab some controllers for folks tomorrow but there was a guy with a handful as I was leaving.

I went to 2 TRU's in the DFW area (Arlington and Irving ).

The Arl store only had some R Racing for GCN.

The Irving store I don't know, because the same damn hoarder that had dumped every green tag and cheap game in a cart at the end of the $5 coupon, had about 4 carts of stuff.

Most of it looked like toys or accesories. I couldn't tell because it was all bagged up. Just like last time if I had gone the day before, or an hour earlier I would have beat him. Oh well.

I found a copy of Oddworld for XBOX for 4.99 at Best Buy. Don't know where the heck it came from, but that's enough for the day :lol:

NO, it's not YMMV...only the older GC controllers are tagged (the triangle on the side, stands up on it's own on the shelf). The new packaging is regular (the one's made for pegs).

YET again, how many times must I reiterate? They are different skns. They shipped Metropolismania again to us and it's regular priced at $9.99 which isn't that bad since that game doesn't suck.

i saw a great games, great prices sticker on a bunch of games they people said were green tagged, but when they were scanned they came up to be original price.

I picked up 3 different swimming pools for gifts (around $2-3 each). I also got a car adapter for the psone for $2 and 4 bike lock cables w/ keys for $.50 each (they can be used for a variety of things) There was some other stuff I didn't pick up, such as a ps2 surround sound speaker system for $2, tons of gameboy color and orginal advance accessories, different bike accessories, tons of 3rd party dreamcast controllers w/ rumble pack for $1.50, ps2 a/v cords, tons of dreamcast sports packs, and a lot of other random green tag stuff...

the games that are scanned that are on sale have the promo under the name right? so even if a game was on the list was scanned and didnt have a promo under it wouldve become 90% off?

"Promo" shows up for the games that are green tagged but the games that are 2 for $20 right now will also have the "Promo" show up as well. If it doesn't say Promo, then it's nothing, it's just whatever the price says it is.

Like I said previously, if you're cashier knows what they're doing they'll price reference the items and then item info them.

Well, I finally gave in and visited a few TRUs today and picked up a few items -- there were some nice gems among the pack. I picked up the last ones in most cases.

The only R: Racing Evolution's that worked for me were the GCN ones, and only the Xbox Mojo worked for me. Which R:RE did you try?

After looking through some of this thread it's surprising some of the stuff people have found. I would have thought stores would be cleaned out at %70.

I kinda knew it wasn't on the green tag deal but I bought it brand new (last one).

My store is particularly outdated. I remember when it opened, it was actually designed smaller than most Toys R Us. Most of the merchandise on the shelf is atleast two or three seasons old. Why its still open is beyond me. Its has to compete with two wal-marts, target, two ebgames, and two gamestops for toys/games sales. And the population of my town is about 100,000 and I live in the south so you can imagine how Sam Walton is viewed as a god.

Ah, then there you go, I guess only the GCN one is on sale then. I tried True Crime on the PS2 and GCN, no luck.

Oh, and Benaorn, Siren for that price is a steal, I should have picked one up, I saw one there.

Toys, some movies, someone found a bike marked $110 and got it for $10 ot $11.. I personally saw some X2 and ET figures green tagged.

JCNY - Nice finds on the DC games, lucky. Good to see I wasn't the only one who found Samba De Amigo!

The PSX Final Fantasy Tactics at my TRU was ringing up at normal price of 14.99. Strange..but I really didn't want one really since I already have one.

i was out last night...

the hurst one (across from northeast mall) was down to just Universal Studios, some e-reader cards, and DC sports games.

the lewisville store (across from vista ridge mall) had a lot of pokemon snap and perfect dark, but not much else.

i think our area has been cleared out of anything decent.
