A Moment OTT Silence For Our Friend Budge
PC or X360?
PC. and wow. I hope that's not the demo they release on the 360. It was embarassingly short. I chased a guy down a hall, through two rooms, through a small tunnel, and it was over.

It's very similar to COD4.. a few gripes

One, you can only toggle crouch. You can't just hold a button down, then he stands up when you let go of that button. That was a bit frustrating.

Two, he can only take like four shots and he's dead. Of course, he can recover, but still. It's annoying when you think you've cleared the room and some guy pops up from behind you outta nowhere and shoots you like four times with his rifle and you're dead. Over and over and over.

Lastly, when you're behind cover, you have the crosshair when you're free aiming, but when you go to fire, it's pretty much pray and spray. There's no guarentee that you'll hit where the crosshair was, but it'll be pretty close.

Oh, and the demo relied WAY too much on the cover system.

Overall, a definite rental. I'll rent it the exact same time I rent Casino Royale, because I've never seen that.

//edit: oh, and muddy graphics. Couldn't have just been my system, everything was set to high.
Wind Waker? Loved the art style and enjoyed the game more than Twilight Princess. Didn't hate the sailing nearly as much as some people, though it got annoying to always run into enemies or weather when I was hoping for a smooth trip to the destination.
Not too short or too easy? There was something like 5 dungeons. After the 9 or so in OoT and the 11 or so in LttP, I felt extremely screwed by the length. Don't lengthen my game by making me sail around, which sucks to begin with, looking for triforce pieces -- give me more dungeons like 4 and 5 -- those were fucking excellent.

Don't get me wrong I liked the game. But I was so cheesed off about some of the quailities of the game I sold it and didn't look back until it was a "greatest hit" type game with a hella lower price.

i really need to stop putting off homework.. first rock band, then the QoS demo.. LBP beta (THANK YOU DRACCIUS!!!) is downloading.. I need to do it now because I'll get forever distracted with LBP
Wind Waker was the shit, bitch.
See, I didn't dislike the game enough to edit this to say it was just shit. Because it wasn't. But TP and OoT destroy it. In some ways, MM did too, though that was a fucking odd game. Maybe the next zelda will be more like MM... :whistle2:k

I liked the art style for WW though, just hated the sailing.

LinkinTime - Start out with Basement Jaxx, JUSTICE, MSTRKRFT and The Faint. If you like 'em, I can throw more out for ya but those are pretty popular and not bad at all. Daft Punk is always nice, too.
WW > your favorite Zelda

Have you played Phantom Hourglass yet zew? Probably the closest thing to a WW sequel...

this kills me every time I see it:

I've heard of some Basement Jaxx before and I already have Daft Punk, I'll check those out tonight, thanks! Oh and by the way I'm totally lagging on the transfer cable :bomb:

Older but consistent: The Chemical Brothers, The Dust Brothers, The Crystal Method

Good thing I'm not waiting on you for it.

If you have a 256mb memory card TFN (you should, you bought an Arcade), you can move your saves no problem and just use your account download history to get the rest. The only thing that sucks is dealing with the download limit...

I'll pack it up tonight for sure TFN...it'll go out tomorrow...I put an X in permanent marker on my hand to remind me since my mind tends to shut off after work :dunce:

I sold the card to GS when they were still giving 15-20 bucks for it way back in the day, frosty.

I have no problem with waiting... I still have 5gb left after deleting quite a few shitty XBLA games/demos/videos and keeping the cream of the crop.

I'm partial to the first two lordwow discs and the Fight Club stuff from the dust brothers.

TFN:

Just get a transfer cable request form from MS, put 'On Order' for your Elite Serial# and fax it over.

Took only 5 days to get a free one...

If I preorder that Persona 4 Social Expansion Link package with Bill Me Later, it still won't charge until it ships, right?

The quality was more important to me than the quantity of dungeons.
You mean the 6 minute interactive screensaver and the $15 racer? Yeah.
Yup those be the ones....the racer looks like it could be fun.

Those are all solid choices.

And, of course, The Faint are from Omaha. They play a great show.
You mean the 6 minute interactive screensaver and the $15 racer? Yeah.
 I guess you didn't. It's not a racer, it's a soccer game with RC cars made by some guys that worked on UT and Gears. The other's a tech demo.
The quality was more important to me than the quantity of dungeons.
2 quality dungeons does not make a great game.
Link me to where I need to go, $$$thing.

Or do I just call 1800BrokenXbox as usual?
fuck you...

Call 800 Xbox and try your luck Tired$$$$$$
2 quality dungeons does not make a great game.
Well, thats like, your opinion, man.
