Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.
So, based on the feedback I've gotten here's what I think the best way to distribute DLC codes without asking people to hop all over the map and register on different sites, but also not limiting to just people who PM me.

We've had some crazy sales the past few months and I've seen tons of posts about what you've picked up in sales.

Name your best pickup (or set of pickups) from Amazon in 2012 and I'll shoot you a PM with the DLC code :).

This keeps everyone here on the thread, and shouldn't be a terrible burden (typing out a few words that is :) ).

Cheers,
Tony
Best pickup for me by far is th Paradox Packs but I'm loving Binary Domain as well. Also Darkness 2 and all the $5 coupon sales from January were awesome.
Submitting the story "tip" to Kotaku/Joystiq/IGN now. We'll see if we can get it in front of at least 40,000 eyes. I'll get my pre-order in.

I wasn't even going to pick up the PC version.
Hi Tony,

How about convincing 2k To offer a Borderlands 2 4-Pack? You'd get more sales and lets face it the game is all about multiplayer.

My best pickup has been Sonic Generations. I'm loving it and it is a breath of fresh air for the Sonic games that have only really been good in the GBA/DS games in recent memory.

My best pickup would have to be Darkness 2 for $12.49. Loved it from start to finish.

Did anyone have any performance issues playing through Binary Domain? I'm getting momentary freezing during cutscenes and a few instances where it crashed to the desktop.

My best pickup would probably be Shogun 2 after I got the 5 dollar discount on it from purchasing something else. The Paradox Plentiful pack for 12.49 was great as well....hundreds of hours of gameplay in that pack alone.

Edit - thanks for the Saint's Row TT DLC Tony!

best purchase was the Costume Quest, Psychonauts, Stacking bundle. they are the only games I've played completely through other than La Noire and they were cheaper. :)
Holy crap, that was quick just received a pm from Tony with a DLC code for Saints Row The Third. Thanks, Tony.

@Tony

Thanks, Tony!
BTW - I guess I just found out the hard way.
You have to activate base game on Steam BEFORE it'll allow you to activate DLC for it!!

So, when's SR:TT going on sale dirt-cheap, Tony? ;)
Ffff when was that? Again Tony, again!
COD: MW2 went on sale for $5 on....
Feb 14th, 2012 - AKA Valentine's Day.

oh god, my best pickup of 2012? lemme look through...
okay. small list:

- Sonic Generations for $7.50
- Binary Domain for $10
- getting DRM-Free HAWX and Rainbow Six Vegas for a net of $5 (B1G1F)
- DRM free Divinity 2 for $6
- DRM free Risen for $6

and the winner:
- Getting The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free because of that $5 coupon.

well, it wasn't *totally* free, i suppose the $2.50 i spent on Renegade Ops or $15 on Civ 5 GOTY + Civ 4 Complete or... something else did it back in December 2011. ...god that sale was amazing. there's some other gems in here BECAUSE of that sale (i sadly missed $2.50 Shogun) but i'd put all of the above ones as bigger deals to me; i'm a huge fan of DRM free games and those RPGs are slowly being played through and very, very good. Binary Domain and Sonic are on the list simply due to *time.* Binary Domain hasn't been out very long. Sonic Generations STILL hasn't really been met to that price point again... anywhere. and that was a good 3 months ago now, when it was pretty damn new too.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum, for sure. It almost never gets a steep discount anywhere else, gave me DLC I did't have before, and got me away from the physical copy I had (of the base game.)

I'd go with the Darkness 2 if it just didn't crash at random on my PC, so I'm going with Binary Domain. Really enjoyed it, just wish Binary Domain didn't have such a bland multiplayer.

GOT IT!!

...

Just kidding. I have to imagine someone grabbed that though, lol.

My best pickup this year so far from Amazon is Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the Missing Link DLC. I didn't buy it originally because a couple of my friends told me it wasn't anything special, but when you put it on sale I bit and loved every hour I sunk into it!

Best pickup for me by far is the Paradox Package a few weeks ago (the one that was $12.50). I jumped on it for Crusader Kings 2 alone but ended up loving Victoria 2 as well. Thanks so much for getting us the Steam keys for that, Tony!

my best pickup was Dragon age bundle and Borderlands Goty, paid a bit too much for ME 3
Best pickup in 2012 for me was probably Witcher at start of the year for $2.03 after -$5 promo code, Divinity 2 for 5.99 and Borderlands for 6.99. So little time to play anything :(
hehe oh yea forgot about that $5 code, got crysis maximum for 2.50. That was a really good idea for a sale, hope we see that again. Maybe to once again beat the hell outta steams sale ;)

Had I not have played and thoroughly beaten Binary Domain before, and actually not having it, I'd have jumped on this $9.99. Just to make sure people see this:

Binary Domain is an amazing game. Excellent story, sleeper hit of 2012!

My best pick-ups were Shogun 2 for $2.50 and AC for free back when we had the Winter Sale vouchers. Divinity II for $5.99 was another fantastic deal. Oh, and I enjoyed Cryostasis for $1.25 but I think that was late 2011. Then again, it got me a voucher so when you consider me getting a $5 voucher from a $1.25 game and using it to get Shogun 2 for $2.50... the mind reels. :D

Most recently has to be the Sniper Elite V2 deal. Surprisingly good.

I finished Binary Domain the other day as well, 8 hours on normal. It's a great game but I have some gripes with it.

Main character is like a brotastic version of Chris Redfield. No dedicated button to switch shoulder view. No crouch button, everything done with spacebar or x button I believe for 360 pad. Voice recognition is pretty much useless. Even hiding behind cover, the enemy can hit you and kill you. Killing the robot AI is pretty much either shoot the head or shoot out the legs then the head. The way the camera locks during conversation or during death/getting up is annoying. Expect super shaky screen during boss battles. Team coordination looks deep but is fairly shallow. Parts of the game play like a visual novel (could be bad or good).

Aside from these various flaws, the game had a decent story. A bit cliche (tried to pull inception type drama). However it did offer various types of level advancement such as riding things, etc. (don't want to spoil too much). It was definitely worth the $10 and like other's say, one of those games you play through to have fun. Not the best TPS I've ever played but I agree that it's overlooked. For me, it's one of those games, just above average but not quite unique and eye grabbing to the average gamer. A B-Flick.

Uh, not sure if anyone noticed this, but there MIGHT be a glitch on the "Storming, Burning..." bundle page (hidden w/ spoiler button to avoid clutter).

amzddbundle.jpg

tl;dr - The price is showing up as $89.95, instead of $14.99. This is nearly DOUBLE the listed "if bought separately" total, which makes no fucking sense.

My best pickups were the first paradox package to get Crusader Kings 2 and Mount and Blade Fire/Sword which I was waiting for and Amazon came to the rescue. I also got the Total War series before that which was pretty awesome.

Yay! Thanks Tony! Although seriously...take a break. It's way to late for you to be reading this forums with the steam sales tomorrow?!?!?

The bundle went off promotional pricing on 7.10 (as indicated in OP I think). Our system just sometimes takes FOREVER to get products off the site.

cool!

I've bought so many games this year from you guys, but the best pickups must be DNF and Assassins Creed 1 and Rome Total War for $0 after Promotion applied !! Can't beat that :bouncy:Also homefront, alice, mount and blade warband and Total War: Shogun 2 for $2.49 each was pretty superb :cold:

Best buy of 2012? Fall of the Samurai for $7.50, maybe not the best deal, but it's close. Based purely off the enjoyment gotten from a game I have to say its up there for me though.

Deal I am most looking forward to in 2012 (I hope) Gods & Kings expansion for $7.50 prolly.

I think the best Amazon buy I've had this year was probably Binary Domain. Not only was it 75% off within a few months of being released, but what I've played of it has been really fun so far. I probably would have never bothered with the game without a great price-point like that. Nice.
Best buy was the Square Enix Pack by far...$7.50 for 5 retail games was a great deal.
This is my best buy too. I'm a pc gaming noob, so quality bundles like this one, the Paradox packs, and the THQ collection are exactly what I'm looking for. Also, I love these b/c they give a key for each game, so the games I'm not interested in I can trade. I picked up Mini Ninja's for the Nexuiz key last night =D
