F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.
I retract my previous statement. Its no wonder the USPS is losing billions. Who in the hell wants to use them? They suck and are slow. I ordered 5 items all to be delivered yesterday. For some reason, only 1 of them was shipped USPS. The other 4 were shipped UPS. Guess which didnt arrive on time.......
Strange, I ship stuff from CA to NJ pretty frequently to family, and it gets there in 2 days, sometimes 3 days tops with just First Class service.
I've never had a problem with USPS being on time, they actually tend to be pretty fast for me.
The last thing I got from them was a game that got to Ohio from Las Vegas in two days. I guess this one that took eight days for a three hour journey was to make up for previous overwhelming efficiency.

Incidentally, nobody cares, but I dumped the busted LA Noire at Gamestop. It was either that or pay more than the actual value of the game itself for an ink cartridge to print out a return label. It wasn't a total loss, I got a bonus copy of Bulletstorm for my troubles, as well as a brisk six-mile walk.

I bought a Wireless Thrustmaster controller from them the other day and got it today. A bit smaller than I expected, but it works perfectly.

anything with thrustmaster in the name I would think they would get it new, I don't care how like new condition it is

I just bought a copy of COD Black ops Hardened edition. Anyone have any luck with the DLC? I contacted amazon and I can exchange them for free until I get one =D

When it specifically states that the DLC might have already been redeemed? You special, son?

Never forget the Great Amazon Ban of 2008
amazon ban? I just started shopping online last year. explain?
To answer your questions you won't get the dlc. Anyone that went to the effort to buy the hardened edition used all the codes or their related to you. The Ban was for people doing stupid and shady things. If you do return the item because the dlc doesn't work and your honest that is why your sending it back be expected to get a 15% restocking fee for not being able to read what was stated in the description. If you do it several times expect there to start being " billing errors" or "unable to process" when you try to get anything from them.

Received "Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection" in "Like New" condition from Amazon Warehouse. The only things "Like New" were the discs. Slip cover was obviously worn and MGS3's DVD case had a broken instruction manual holder. On top of that 2 out of the 3 manuals were a little bent up and all DVD cases had scuff marks like a used game from GameStop. Is Amazon usually good about refunding the full amount for products sold by the warehouse deals? I wasn't even allowed to choose a Return option from the drop down box on the Returns page and had to go through customer service who also stated:

"We'll also deduct the cost of return shipping from your refund if you use our postage-paid return label, unless the return is a result of our error."

Just continue to bitch, they will take the charges off of what you paid for it, and let you keep it.

You were better off getting the hardened version of the Thrustmaster :nottalking:

Anyone have any experiences with buying "good" games from amazon warehouse? It says that damage to the box or manual may be present, they make it sound fairly extreme. I am just wondering how bad the damage has been with other "good" games. thanks.

They're just trying to cover their bases. I bought an "Acceptable" CE from them and it came sealed, the only thing wrong was a dent in the side of the outer box

I always laugh when I see that edition. I always end up visualizing a boner

Finally decided to bite on a Move bundle. Buying this also tempers my impulses to grab a 3DS due to the price cut and this is a lot cheaper.

I am wondering how much the 3DS is going to be after the price drop. I am also curious if you will still be able to get the free games because it is a used system...

In theory, as long as that system logs onto the e-shop before the 12th, you should be fine.

That's what I thought. That could wind up being a really good deal for those that get lucky enough to get a system that has been on the shop.

I'd bite again if it's about $140 or dare I say $120 D: , I mean it's nor a stretch, the 3DS went as low as $180 I think in the warehouse.

That would be a nice bonus to get the games :D

Yeah I was hoping for $120-$130. I do remember them going for ~$185 at one point. I think the average was like $210-$220 though. So I could see them knocking off $40 from MSRP for a used one making it $130. I may have to get one at that price, especially if there is a chance I could get the free games. There is really nothing on it right now that I want to play tough (I have played Zelda: OOT a dozen times). I did miss out on a lot of great DS games though. How do they look on the 3DS? I imagine they would look fine...

Nice there's some things I may pick up.

Also quick question. I'm a Amazon video game trade-in noob, so I was wondering is it ok to ship to them 2 of the same game in the package? and should I take off the wrapper or leave it on or does that matter? Thanks.
Wonder if the DSi XL will ever drop in price.
It's possible, because it seems kinda crazy that it's the same price as a 3DS now.

Thanks for this thread.

Just scored LA Noire for 35 bucks - I think that's a good price.

Big fan of 1940s detective books (Ellroy, LA Confidential, etc) so it's a good score for me.

3DS is down to $203 for like new.. I'm still very curious what the price will be after the price drop. This is currently almost $50 under MSRP. I wonder if $120 is possible. I am still thinking it will only go as low as $130, and I think that is even wishful thinking.

I think the $203/$190 price is definitely because of the price drop, as it has slowly been falling since last week. However, before the announcement, the going price was around $213, which is still nearly $40 under MSRP. I'm tempted to see how low it will go before the drop, so I could get the free downloadable games, but I think I'm going to wait it out, because I am also anxious as to see the warehouse price after the drop :D (I'm hopeful for atleast $150, but $130 definitely seems possible_
