F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot
Yes, you can check it on your console without redeeming the code. This is also the only way to check Xbox 360 codes without redeeming them.

You can also check it online at Qriocity.com without redeeming it (unlike Xbox.com which will automatically redeem it). Log in with your PSN ID account, select the "Account" tab at the top, then "redeem prepaid card" on the right. Just be sure to cancel out once you've found out what the code is for.
Thanks for the info, this is good news... Will try it later tonight...
I got my acceptable episodes from liberty ciy for ps3, it didn't had original art cover, just the transparent box and the disc. This is getting to be the norm for the acceptable games I order from the awd. This cost me 10.79 so I am not complaining. I am not going to play the original at this point.

also... MASS EFECT 3 for around $28

I am not buying either until they are under $20.
:ps3: BioShock 2 Special Edition (Good) $18.69

Will the Bioshock 2 SE (PS3) come with everything even though its in "good" condition?
Not necessarily, I bought a "Very Good" Dark Souls Collector's Edition, and it came without the slipcover, didn't come with the little card with the additional content either.

But you may get lucky, but lately I've found AWD slipping up a bit with the CE's, making me not want to take too many risks. A few posts back someone got LBP2 "CE", and only received the game.

Mass Effect 3 was available for $30 new on Tuesday and Dead Island was on sale for $20 new and $15 from AWD just last week.

Just snatched an Asura's Wrath (Like New) for 360 for $42. After my points from my Amazon cc I only paid a little over $4. Very happy with that. :)

I'm surprised that game hasn't dropped more. I saw it around $36 @ BBV. I'll wait unless I get a free rental coupon. ;)

Drat. Would've liked to get the Jak or DMC collections. Guess the night owl beats the early bird here.

I actually got the Jak collection at like 4 in the morning because I couldn't sleep at all and I knew it would be gone in the morning. Sorry, man.

Not a video game, but I just bought a LN pair of MEElectronics A151's (earphones) for $47.xx. There were two other listings for VG pairs @ $46.xx.

Lots of 3DS models (blue) under $130.
I'm still debating abouting waiting for a newer model. Maybe one with a better battery life.

Then again, I'm just going to be playing DS RPGs I missed out on.

I couldnt think of a worst purchase then a 3DS at this point, maybe a vita, but at least Vita is worth its asking price. Both have no games worth playing and both are going to get brutalized sales wise this year by iphone/ipad/android devices taking over. Wait till the 3DS falls to 99 and pick one up then. Thats my plan for 3DS and Vita. Portables are dead in the west.

not sure if trolling... or just dumb..

I kind of agree about the 3ds being a bad purchase (at full price) but only because of the potential redesign. But to say handhelds are dead in the west is a stretch.
I don't see this guys logic of how a phone is better then a handheld for gaming. Hmm maybe it's just me.
must think angry birds is a deep game or something...

I would say that about the Vita at this time, but the 3DS has plenty of good games right now.

handhelds are quite overpriced. if they cost that much they should also be a phone/pda. I could see buying a vita if it rivaled the iphone id even spend another hundo on it.

its hard to justify portable gaming as an adult. most people leave the house when they don't want to game.

Depends on your situation, when I used to take public transportation, I used a psp quite a bit, even now I usually play at lunch or in bed. Personally I think gaming on a phone is terrible, the on screen controls just don't do it for me.

Yay! Another Used - Like New DMC Collection on PS3 showed up in AWD for 29.17. Finally grabbed one! I actually found it through looking at the link on the last page, even though I knew that that one was sold. lol

I play my portables in bed or take them to work if I know I'll have some down time, so I get plenty of use out of mine.

But of course I can only speak for myself.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie- I kind of miss being a kid and going on car trips and stuff with my folks so I could have an excuse to play nothing but handheld games. Now that I'm an adult, being out of the house typically means I'm going to be busy driving or taking care of some kind of responsibility. Even at college between classes, I end up messing around on my laptop more than I do playing my 3DS (which I take with me practically everywhere).

That said, if I'm not taking care of anything, I'm in a public place, and I feel like playing something, I'm gonna break out the 3DS. I don't give a fuck about what other people think.

fair enough. i got a psp thanks to a bad tipper forgetting one at a restaurant, and I only really found myself playing it at home.

I just figured by now sony would have made the vita a phone, thats why i was excited when att was advertising a data plan for it.

Is everybody forgetting the disaster that was the ngage?

Anyways, has anyone ordered a PSP from Warehouse deals? What is the condition on those? I assume they tend to be trade ins as opposed to dented boxes? I see some in acceptable condition but am afraid to pull the trigger if it's just some beat up used junk.
they came back looking for it an hour later, and it was incredibly busy. I told them I had no clue.
That is sort of mean - I would never take a PSP that some poor kid forgot.

so because you didn't get the tip you thought you deserved you stole a psp?
scumbag guy right here.

I play my psp/vita in bed. Job/School/Wife/3 kids make it so I almost never get to play my consoles. Don't regret my vita purchase at all. $162 on AWD....full retail may be a little much.

He never said an iphone is better than a 3ds for gaming in his post. Just saying.

I do agree than the prospect of paying $40 for a game is no longer appealing to me. And after being spoiled with the prices for iphone games, I don't think its very appealing for the general, non hardcore gaming population.

Exactly, there will never again be a day i pay more then 5 bucks for a mobile game. GTA3 on my phone is 5 bucks. Thats the upper limit. And im a gamer saying that, most people who now own a smart phone will not pay over 99 cents or anything at all (ad subsidized). This is the reality of the portable gaming scene. Times have changed. My 4 year old niece doesnt know what mario is, and even when i hand her a controller to play something for children like Mario, she goes for the android tablet to play flight control, fruint ninja puss in boots and more on there. Touch generation is here, and nintendo does not have any foothold on it.

There is nothing like trying to cook dinner with one hand and playing vita with the other... I try to sneak in a few games of the show whenever I can... even if it means burning the meatloaf to do so.

I also find it easier to pick up and play the vita or 3ds than to play the xbox lately.. I still can watch tv and my wife will stay and watch tv.. If I turn on the xbox she will pick up her laptop and go into the next room..

There really is no comparison for me when I look at the value I get from say...baseball superstars on my phone (Galaxy Nexus) vs. the show on my vita. The show is infinitely deeper and more enjoyable. The tilt/touch controls on the phone don't come anywhere close to the controls I get on the vita.

Even at $4 (or whatever...I don't remember), I am much happier with the value I get from The Show ($30 new at gamestop).

I've put about 20 hours into the show already and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon (I will be a HOF player!). I keep seeing new animations and ball physics each time I play..

I can't really say that for any iphone/droid game.. yeah cut the rope is cute and fun but after a few levels I got bored and moved on.

Yes, the show was $29 and cut the rope is a $1 but I rather have a more expensive longer lasting experience than a $1 2 hour experience

lol @ debating a handheld game vs a tablet game on a site that is comprised primarily of users finding deals on said handheld games. Gee i wonder where thats gonna head.

I may return games from other stores to Walmart......games I bought for $9.99 or $19.99 to get full store credit to Wally World......you guys can bash me for that.

I'd never keep some young kid's PSP though. That's a line that I'm not willing to walk past. Poor kid.
What happened to this poor thread, it WAS useful. Now it's a catchall for everything not a AWD.
The Vita somehow ruined this thread. I am baffled at how it happened. We survived the launch of other consoles here, but the Vita makes us CAGs crazy for some reason.

I know it sucks for our bottom line, but states are stuggling for income and its an unfair advantage to Amazon. I think once they have to collect tax, it will help B&M stores the produce local jobs. But until then, I will shop Amazon and if its the same price as the stores, I get it on Amazon to save 7.5%. I know its hypocritical of me, but so be it.
