Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

That was August 14th 2013 and it was early Wednesday but also August 15th 2013 which was early Thursday. However, you forgot to mention the most important one:

Saturday, September 3rd 2011. (Penny Deals).

However, we have not seen any significant deals over the weekend. Most tend to happen Monday - Friday and or whenever restocks happen.

When a picker at amazon pulls your order they usually pick other orders too. So the item you order goes into a tote with other items. So next to your game could be laundry detergent, fabric softner, dog or cat food, perfume, mulch or anything else amazon carriers.

Edit: If you get free shipping and your items are at different locations then it might becomes transship. Usually one wherehouse pulls your items and leaves your items in a tote with other orders. Then the tote is loaded into a semi and sent to another wherehouse where the rest of the items are at. Also the trailer for the semi is left in the sun while it is being packed. So if something with a fragrance is near you item it might pick up the scent.

not a good way of doing it if that how since people allergic to so much. For instance if that how they actually do it and I order a shirt and then they place it next to a laundry detergent that is dripping and it not tide brand then I'm be pissed lol

Shirts and other things have that transparent 'ready to ship' 'bags'. If the other items were leaking they wouldn't ship any of them.

They don't use totes, they use some yellow/blue/etc plastic containers.

Usually if the item is leaking it is supposed to be damaged out. I hate picking items that leaking. I picked up a case of leaking coconut water. It got on me and I smelled like old beer. Another time I had to get 20 bags of manure. My hands and arms smelled. Eating lunch that day wasn't fun.

It's not the first time I've had this and it's only inside the resealed shrink wrap. I think it's more that the graders taking the trade ins are doing it on stuff coming from people whose stuff smells of smoke or animals or whatever.

Interesting stuff, thanks for the inside knowledge :) All I know is the videos thatI have seen from old warehouse styles to newer warehouses techniques.

Also, manure? didn't know amazon could ship manure, wonder who they use for their 'shitty' service?

I had SOCOM 4 from GoHastings smelling like tobacco, bought the game from them for $2 a few years back. I just let the case air out in the sun, usually the disc doesn't hold the smells or while playing the the heat will remove the smell. If you have a fabric sheet you can put one inside and leave it for 2-3days and it will remove the smell.

Yeah they use differnt wording on items. In the safety books the call cardboard corrugate. When someone uses a pallet jack to move pallets with totes stacked on them to be wrapped in plastic for transship, they call that water spider.

Edit: amazon sells almost everything. Rat poison, adult toys, wigs, toys. I never seen porno sold there. They do sell soft porn though.

I'm don't know the rules for shipping manure. I know for some time aerosol cans would only be shipped via ground. I guess they would exlpode on the planes. They recently allowed aresol cans back on planes for delievery.
 
I just realized nothing is coming out on Wii U I want anytime soon (I have a 3DS for Smash) and the only reason I keep it is for MK8. I guess I need to trade it or sell it off.

I think MK8 is plenty enough to keep it for. ;)

It is looking like a bad holiday season for new releases for Nintendo. Really can't believe they're going into the holidays with this as their whole release calendar for both systems:

Yeah, mine's still scheduled for the 19th but hasn't budged yet while stuff that's scheduled for the 20th is in preparing to ship.

Peronally, I think you're much better off buying Smash for the Wii U. Can't imagine how poor Smash will look on a 3DS.

 
The funny thing is that despite Nintendo having a paltry list of releases this holiday, there's even less I'm interested in coming out on either the PS4 (Destiny) or XB1 (Halo) this year. Smash and Bayonetta top either of those for my specific interests (too many fps games nowadays). I'm actually more excited for GTA V than either of those as well.

Nintendo may lack 3rd party support, but this year at least there aren't many if any new 3rd party games to look forward to. Hoping this drought doesn't seep into 2015 with more game delays but I'm not holding my breath.

I have a hard time playing my PS4 and find myself going back to my PS3 and Vita backlogs. It just isn't a fun console to play at the moment compared to everything else.

I've played both and thought it was fine on either system, it did look better on Wii U but the 3DS version still looked great to me. I'll be picking up both though for the different stages and other features that are system exclusive.

Nintendo is almost always proving that you don't need good graphics to make a good game.

I was just wondering if it was really that bad, of course I'm not expecting 1080P or whatever lol.

There's been a lot of writers projecting that Smash 3D is going to be a disappointment. I would like to see it be good and hopefully it will be but I'm going to wait for reviews since I can see a lot of reasons why it wouldn't be.

I'm really not find of the fact that they've been marketing a lot of exclusive stuff for the 3DS version that looks really cool and I can't recall and WiiU exclusive stuff. Hard to tell if the 3DS version has become the primary version or if it's just been getting more marketing because it comes out first.
 
This is news to me about smash 3ds not looking good or playing great. All I've read is just to prepare for fun. I can't wait for it. the 2 smashes are on my must have/day 1 pick up (even without a deal - CAG sacrilege), as I'll play them straight right out of the box. Destiny comes next, and then the new Call of Duty. Outside of those, there's not much I really want (still only want a xbox one for killer instinct, and maybe Destiny for an upgrade, but i still enjoy my 360 and think the graphics are just fine)

 
Has anyone ever traded something in to amazon and selected one of their addresses and then shipped from another address/town? Wondering if the prepaid label is only pre paid from the location you selected or if that's just for the return address...
Basically I selected San Francisco CA but am shipping out of Santa Cruz CA and am wondering if it will just get returned to me.

I am with you. I would love to have a PS4, I have $300 saved toward one, but I gotta wait for a truly epic game before I buy one. Until then, I am playing PS2, PS3, Xbox, and Wii. I'm in no hurry for the new ones really.

It's the return address. Don't worry about where you are shipping it from, just where it will go back to if the item is rejected.
