I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?

They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?

Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?

Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?

In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?

Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

AWD product description says "Factory Sealed", is this item new?

First and foremost, AWD sells used / open box items so in their terms it has been sealed / resealed at an Amazon Warehouse and hence the "Factory Sealed" part so no it isn't necessarily new. It isn't necessarily new because it could go one of two ways:

1. It was traded in / open box return / test unit that was resealed at an Amazon warehouse facility.
2. It was a dinger (new with damaged packaging and with seals intact).

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?

First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Just snagged a (G) PS4 for $247! Been holding out for the mid $200 deals, and finally found another one.

Condition: Used - Good - Includes manual, cover art, and packaging. Bonus downloadable content may have already been redeemed. Clear external signs of wear or damage to the packaging or instructions may be present. Game may have identification markings from its previous owner.

So happy. I hope it's 100% like new with just the packaging slightly banged up

Well, my first AWD experience was pretty poor. I would classify this PS4 as acceptable at best, and nowhere near 'good'. Cosmetically, the console is absolute rubbish. There's sumudges and dings throughout. There is a noticeable stench from everything in the whitebox that Amazon used to ship it. The controller has a sticky feel to it and, while it does work, it is so gritty that its painful to use. The packaging, which the description said is there, is entirely missing.

Basically, if I had met up with someone on Craigslist to purchase this, I wouldn't even negotiate, I'd walk away.

I guess I'll just return it and try again. I think I'll hold out for dingers/VG/LN.

When AWD lists something as cosmetic damage of 1/2" on front or 1" on side, are they talking about on the packaging or on the actual PS4? If I order with that description, should I expect to get a PS4 with a 1inch slash on the side?

A dinger can be any grade. An acceptable grade can be a dinger, it happens a lot. From the description you bought, that was a trade in. Look for stuff like this Small cut / scratch on item case. Medium wrinkle / bend on item case.

Here's something I've been curious about:

When AWD lists something as cosmetic damage of 1/2" on front or 1" on side, are they talking about on the packaging or on the actual PS4? If I order with that description, should I expect to get a PS4 with a 1inch slash on the side?

I want one that's basically new in box, but box is slightly damaged. I guess I need a LN, or whatever classifies as a dinger...

One never knows..it really could be either packaging or the item itself. Dingers are found a lot less then they used to be when they first came out. Now it is a vast majority of trade ins and returns. The descriptions have gotten to be so vague, inconsistent and plain inaccurate that it's tough to tell what you are getting in the first place.

Also here is a fun fact that I believe most here don't seem to understand from the short time I have been watching. Prepare for your Amazon WD mind to be blown...
Despite the specific description details on the exact item you purchase, it is luck of the draw on which one they actually pick and ship you from all available items with the same quality grade (A, G, VG etc.). If there are 4 VG units available with different description details (ie 1 dinger description, 2 trade in description and 1 old stock description) regardless of which one you select and pay for they randomly pick one of the 4 VG units and send it to you, so if there are more than 1 of the same grade items the written description doesn't matter. The only time the specific written description details matter is when it is the only one of the grade class items available.
I'm kind of shocked nobody else has figured this out before

Good to know! I always wondered how they could differentiate the condition descriptions amongst the same grade in the warehouse. Guess they actually don't lol.

Well honestly they very easily could if they wanted to but frankly they just don't care to. Every individual item is coded with a unique number which should be all that is needed, but in the actual ordering/invoicing/shipping process that number is not used. They just use the grade class number (A, G, VG etc).
Cowboom shows the right way to do this. You get the exact item number that you order not just a similar grade item
