I like Dead Island too but it's janky as fuck. CoD might be similar every year but it's very polished.

You could always trade your copy in for $30 and pay the $25 more for it. All of the stuff for the Rigor Mortis edition is made with good quality stuff surprisingly.

Yeah. It's very up in the air. But it's fun online, I'm not too crazy about solo. But to have 2-4 players is very fun, stomping out zombies is a blast! Just sucks when you want to actually play the storyline and everyone else decides to run around like fools.

If you pre-ordered this as GCU and get the PM here, it really isn't a bad deal for the game, re-hash or not. Mindless fun with friends.
 
wow. took almost an hour to deal with pming over the phone cause the rep and her manager insisted on being unable to pm my copy because i paid for $4 for it since the rest was on gift card and rz certificates >.
 
Thanks for the heads-up. Just contacted Bestbuy to pricemtach Dead Island, which is a very fast process. $35 minus the $20 in reward = $15 for the game and the steel book. Gotta love Bestbuy and their gaming deals.
 
I'm tempted because I loved the first game, but it dropping this quickly just tells me to wait a little longer.

for those that pre-ordered and got the $20 rz certificate and haven't figured it out yet, here's what you can do:

PM for $35 - $20 (pre-order certificate) = $15 for the game and steelbook. Trade it in for $20 + $10 (+60% trade-in promo w/ games unlocked) = $32 or 33 since I'm not sure if 10% is applied with the 50% or after.

Quite a high chance that the game will get even lower so you can always repurchase. This way, not only do you get $17/18, you also get some points for trading in :D and you'll still have the steelbook for if you decide to repurchase the game when it gets cheaper.

Too bad the steelbook doesn't apply to the Rigor Mortis edition, If it's still available later today I might call and see if it can be applied.
 
Spent an extra 5 minutes on the phone with BB with my $5 Dead Island price match. She kept saying I was getting $4 and change back instead of $5.30. After doing the math two different ways for her she finally realized she was not adjusting the tax....

How do you work in sales but not understand the basics of numbers?
 
Just price matched it as well. They accidently gave me the $15 price match instead of $5 (I had already pm'ed the $40 newegg deal) so I got this game for a grand total of $5.

Or sell the steelbook and enjoy the game on Week 2 for $4.99. This assumes you get $10 for the Steelbook and consider RewardZone Certs as cash.

I also forgot that from the whole pre-order cancellation fiasco a few months ago, I received a $20 promo code due to the erroneous cancellation of this game and the pre-order steelbook. Yea, this is one of the top BBY day 1's in recent memory.

Very clearly states however one PM per item. As in you can not buy 2 identical games and have them both matched.

Well I used RZ certificates and BB GC's to pay for the game so it comes to $5 after getting $45 back (Got my 1000 points for it 2 days after launch). I love the game so there is no way I'd trade it in. However I do not like the steelbook. Why doesn't it say Dead Island Riptide on the side and why not have a :ps3: steelbook. I can't display it with my :ps3: games. I have 2 of the steelbooks as well and would love to trade or sell them.

Well here is hoping all of next gen game cases are G2s. (Obviously not the Wii U as that is hardly next gen, haha)

Just printed a 'receipt' from rewardzone. If the Customer PIN number is what the barcode they scan represents, then it should work if they type it in I guess.

If you print out the customer pin from your RZ purchase history, you'll make it easy for them to reprint a duplicate receipt to PM off of.

I usually give them my RZ card. And look on my purchase history when I bought it so I can give them the date the purchase was made.

if the mods over at bestbuy forum send me another welcome package, i will send you the extra one, because they originally send me a welcome package with the expiration date of 4/30/2013. When i told them, i want the welcome package with a later expiration date. They told me i will have to wait till 5/10/2013 to receive another one. that is a big "if", if they actual follow through.

They told me they can't send out Welcome Packets after I had one supposedly resent. They gave me a $50 Best Buy Giftcard instead (which I was more than fine with).
 
I have a unused GCU join in-store coupon for B2G1 new games 39.99 or less. Expires today if anyone wants it. I don't know if you'll have trouble with these being sale prices. Also has my name on it.
