Right!?!? You still had to spend money to get those RZ certs. They don't give them to you because you're not giving them money.
Well, considering if I went to Target, Walmart, etc, id get nothing for spending my money there for games, its pretty much free. Its not like they HAVE to give you points.

This is true. But "Spend $60 on a game to get $20 back" doesn't mean your $60 that came out of your pocket means you're getting a $20 bill back.

I can't talk shit. Because I have maintained Silver membership for 2 years now, but, if it wasn't for RZ certs and price matching. I wouldn't spend half of my money there.

Well technically after getting three preorders or two in my case with infinite giving me 2000 RZ points. I got a free $60 game on day one for purchasing two others day one after using the $60 worth of certs. Other places dont do that.

I dont consider it free money but more of a reward for shopping with them.

lol you see posts like that all the time, people get a $20 cert for a $60 game, and consider that game costs them $40, and then use the $20 cert to buy something thinking they get $20 off.

Well yes, thats different, but its still pretty much free money.

I guess by this logic it is flawed though since they think they are saving $40 rather than $20.
Ordered the :360:Dead Island Rigor Mortis Edition. If only the :360:Aliens CM CE was on sale. I want that figurine...
The figurine sucks and look cheap.

Well BB is smart. Cash is different then cert. It cool if people like to shop there alot.
Just emailed them about a Bioshock Infinite price match through the silver member email thingy ma bobber.

If I don't get a response soon, I'll call I think
u should call. email wont do u any good.

Its better to price match this at target, preorder that game you have to, and then get the free $10 gc. I also saw rigor mortis editions at target as well.

Wouldn't work because Riptide isn't part of the list of games you need to buy, unless I read the ad wrong.

I called the BB rewardzone silver phone number and the rep gave me a $15 rewardzone certificate for a price adjustment. He sounded like he was a new employee who wasn't sure what to do.

Should he have given me $15 back to my bank account since I paid with debit? Would that have messed up my $20 worth of rewardzone certs for preordering?

i hate to sound like an evil cag devil customer, but you should always make as many pricematches as possible.

hmmm wish i preordered dead island riptide, but ill wait. looks like maybe it will pull a brink/dnf and be $10 by summer/fall. i need 2 copies anyway cuz no local co op, grrr.

Great deals. Unfortunately, I used my certificates on another game. I would have used them on Bioshock Infinite. I'll try next time.
Amazon just match both the standard and rigor mortis editions of dead island
Damn. Wish I would've waited now. I have $60 Amazon credit to burn

I'm new to price matching, will I mess up my Dead Island Riptide $20 preorder certficate if I price match? Sorry if thats been asked before, also is Crysis 3 any good?

Is it not possible to price match if a certificate was used? i talked to 3 reps so far, first one said they only price match at time of purchase. the other two said since i used a certificate it brought the price lower than the now current sale price and its not eligible for price match. it that correct?

well i ended up just posting the question on the bby forums. im done talking to the reps for today. the last person i just talked to told me since i preordered the game 2 months ago im no longer in the 15 day window....

yea this is why i prefer to do everything in person. the reps always sound foreign and have no clue what is going on. it worked perfectly fine for me and i reordered september of last year.

If you ordered before april 16th a price adjust can still be done over the phone. I just did it. I had to bring up my silver member status. Or fib alittle.

i believe i came across this and posted something about it earlier in the thread. but i spent like almost an hour dealing with a customer service rep that told me the same thing then i asked to talk to her manager and the manager repeated the same thing so i asked for the manager's supervisor. all this because i paid for the game in certificates and which brought my total to about $4. in the end, the supervisor informed me of the confusion and that the previous two individuals were not well informed with the price match policy.
all in all, the super said she will process a $15 gift card to be mailed to me.

moral of all this: if anything, be persistent with the costumer service reps.

i checked my account and there was no record of a pm, so i'll probably try to head to the store and get a pm there to see if i can still apply a pm despite them sending me a $15 gc. x] *fingers crossed*

So your hoping to essentially steal from BB? They are giving you the difference already but you want to try and trick someone in store to ALSO give you $15?

You shouldn't need to, the game came out on the 23rd, thats well within bestbuy's 15 days for pm's (from bestbuy/bestbuy.com).

Was referring to Bioshock Infinite. That was a month ago.

Still had this on pre-order at Gamestop, going to have to get that canceled as I just ordered my rigor mortis edition!

Tempting but I can wait for another drop since I already Redbox (& beat BTW) Dead Island Riptide. Though definitely good price for those of ya who actually want it.

Thanks !!! I ordered one a little while ago. I just have to finish Borderlands 2 with my cousin then we will start this game. Thanks again !

Pulled the trigger on the Rigor Mortis Edition after trading in my vanilla copy. Gaming employee didn't even know the game was on sale and promptly stashed the last one behind the counter.

Hmm. Just grabbed my $35 copy, and I'm hoping my $20rz cert posts soon. Tempted to trade the vanilla back in and buy an AMZ gift card to pick up the Rigor Mortis edition.

update with metal gear rising revengence, defiance, god of ascension both $49.99, call of duty blackops 2 $39.99
is this really on sale 6 days after release? If so I might go grab it.
Why not TRU did it for Injustice: Gods Among Us in even LESS time and THAT was a $60 game and not a $50 one PLUS they gave you the Strategy Guide AND the BATMAN FIGURE~! :hot:

ALSO if you were so inclined going back to get a price adjustment took the Strat and Figure off the receipt so really if you needed to return the game and say get it at GS or BB or WM for the DLC then it could be returned without the strat or figure and then you wouldnt be out either~!

Good for him and then you can say you helped himself as well as you out loolz ohhhhh the feels :p

^Im lost as to what the hell you are saying in the second part of your response but TRU did not have injustice for $35 until two weeks. And the figure/toy and strategy guide are worthless to me.

Edit: NVM i get you but the game is not worth $35 to me. And like I said I dont care for the other toys/strat.
Damn, i'll wait to buy it. I see the game dropping even more.
I really want to see TWD - Survival instinct on sell.
NO ONE wants to see the walking dead survival instinct on sale.., honestly really please dont wait until you can get a copy well under $20 I spent $50 on mine sadly. I like games and will give them a chance more than most people but really no no no please you dont want it until you get it REALLY cheap.., unless you can actually burn a $100 bill and not care then just dont :whistle2:#

interesting... more added? I wonder if they're having an unadvertised "daily" video game sale this week.

I do believe that people who want to buy Survival Instinct for a lower price would like to see it on sale.

This thread is good.

it might be a trend going on forward, instead of the dotd with games.
