Nice catch.... damn. Well... that changes things I guess. I'll try for the ones I want anyways though. My Wal-Mart isn't that bad to be honest. Last year they had all the games there. Just the initial rush of assholes is what ruins it. There always seems to be enough. But people freak and grab copies and then set the ones they grabbed 3 of and set them in the fucking baby department or something.

Plus I think so many others will be going after PS4/XB1 stuff, along with people will be fighting for COD and crap, even if it has the 1 hour deal regardless... I'm sure I'll be able to grab the 4 I want the most.

It's something new the company is trying out. There are several teams allocated to hot ticket items and at least 200+ personnel in total on hand for the bulk of the weekend. Far as I can tell I'll be standing around for 10 hours, so I have my 3DS and snacks ready haha

 
I NEED Arkham Origins, BF4, FIFA 14, and AssCreed 4. My life will be complete if I can manage to grab these. That would be awesome if the deals went live at 12 am Thursday like they did last year. I remember, I grabbed my games around 8 am thanksgiving morning with no hassle whatsoever. It felt like I was robbing the place since nobody was there.

Well, there are some pretty good deals here, but I refuse to ruin my Thanksgiving by shopping that early... as much as I love deals, I love turkey and family time more. Guess I'll be sticking to Meijer's deals at 6am.

Hopefully a lot people will have this same feeling towards the time of the sale and don't end up coming.
 
Well...I hate that everyone is going to that Thursday 6p.m. start. It's just wrong to me...but maybe I'm old fashioned.

2...there are some tempting prices...GTA5, AC4, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, and The Last of Us are all on my list. But I still hate paying around $30 per game which is why I haven't even picked them up via Target's B2G1 yet!

 
I assume since they mention ad matching on the front page of their black friday ad that theyre going to again match all black friday prices? I might just go put skylanders on layaway tomorrow and pick it up on thanksgiving, even if im in line for an hour id deal with it.
 
It seems like every year is pretty much the same.

Wal-Mart has one of the best looking ads, but they sell out of everything noteworthy extremely quickly.

It's to the point I generally don't even bother going, with the exception of last year, since I got in on the early sale glitch.

Is this how it is for the rest of you, or are you generally able to get what you want?

Also, from what I recall from years past, I don't think Amazon matches Wal-Mart's deals.

 
As tempting as some of those Walmart deals sound, I've seen pictures, videos, and I live in LA. I will never set foot in a Walmart again unless I had a full suit of armor.

Last year I wanted Borderlands 2 and just that. Didn't feel like going through lines at stores so I tried to get it on amazon and it sold out so fast at $25. Then IGN had some kind of thing where they were selling it for $25 and I bought it.Picked up God of War Saga at walmart's stores a day after black friday. No lines at all. Got it for $15 I think.

This year I don't have Amazon prime and you have to buy at least $35 worth of stuff for free shipping which was changed from $25. And all I want is AC4, Skyrim, & AC3. But what I want the most is AC4 and I just ordered Fall of Cybertron a few days ago.

So depending on the deals you may be able to go the day after black friday and get what you want with less lines.

online is the only way i will shop for anything.  Last time the line for checkout was all around inside the store and could take hours to check out

i really hope gaming wise amazon,newegg will put on some decent deals and i hope gamefly has a great used game sales

i think games wise that buy 2 get one free deal at Target could be the best

As a reminder, Walmart is open all day during Thanksgiving.  Last year, the sale prices flipped early, so I was able to get my games at around 4 PM when the store was dead, several hours before they let in the horde.
