I'm hoping they pricematch Beyond two souls so I can use my 20 off promo.

 
I'm keeping my eye on Xbox 360 console deals for my sister.

Some kid broke into her home and stole hers while she was in the hospital last month.

So far the $99 core @ Walmart looks good, but I do not plan on fighting Walmart crowds.  Hopefully they (or Amazon) will do the deal online.  If not, the $189 bundle @ Best Buy will work.

 
The Best Buy deals are pretty underwhelming. Is that really all they have for Black Friday or is that just the Thursday doorbusters?

I think the bestbuy Wii U bundle is listed wrong in the op.  On the site, it shows wii u + 1 controller + nintendoland which adds up to the $370 MSRP it lists.  So the picture with both mario and luigi controllers might be false advertisement.

I was hoping to get a 32" HDTV for under $200 and that appears to be the only one.

Is there going to be a compiled list like last year of certain games on sale and the cheapest place to get them? There's definitely a lot of similarities in games on sale across all the ads this year.

If you want to just upgrade the hard drive, I would just search Amazon or New Egg for a HD and upgrade it that way. I got a 320 GB one for $24.99 and the process for changing it out was pretty easy (though you need an extra external HD to move the data). But I assume your PS3 is a launch one, so I would recommend getting the 250GB and just selling Last of Us if you can afford to do so just in case.

Used to be fun right after I got out of college and you just had to show up 2 hours early on BF morning before the sun rose. They started to open an hour early ealier and the lines increased, afer that you hade to get in line 2 hours early year after year.

In the more condensed areas camping is required if you want any doorbusters. When they started to do the secret doorbusters, I stopped going all together.

 
Did you guys happen to see last night's South Park? They combined Black Friday and the race to get an Xbox One and PS4. Maybe you guys can use their shopping tactics :razz: (the episode continues next week).

Woot.com often has HDTVs pretty cheap. Usually once every 1-2 weeks. I got a 32" Vizio LED Smart HDTV (supports apps) for ~$200 shipped a couple months ago.

Glad I got one of those 3D display monitors. Crazy how they shot up in price right after, huh?

For me the last few years have been more frustration than success. Wal Mart and Best Buy tends to work out the best because they have a higher quantity, Sears has been the biggest failure and almost always a complete waste of time. Sears was the first place I went last year and I got NOTHING for my trouble.

Yes, last year was the first time MS sold some of their BF deals online. The nice thing was that a lot of their deals lasted well into the day despite having the best deals on games like Kinect Sports 2, Dance Central 3, etc. They didn't have every deal online though iirc. For those looking for deals on NBA, AC4, BF4, Madden, and NHL, FIFA, etc. look to the MS in-store sales. They were very competitive compared to Walmart's deals with less crowds (under $30 each). I think the only drawback was that you couldn't get the multi-platform newer releases online. The ones that were available online weren't Xbox exclusives, they were the older titles at the crazy discounted prices of $10 like Lollipop, Spiderman, and Prototype 2, etc.

Best Buy early BF deals for Silver members did not include the doorbuster deals. So if you are looking for a good TV deal, your options will be scant. For what it's worth, that 55" LG TV only has 2 HDMI inputs from what I read. That seems like an inferior TV to me but I haven't done my homework yet. I remember the deal not kicking in for a half hour after the original scheduled time. If you want some great TV deals, wait until Superbowl week.

Amazon usually PM's Walmart on a lot of deals. Last year they matched the lowest prices available through lightning deals for most games advertised during BF if not all. The last two years there were price mistakes on a couple of games though. Last year NBA 2K13 was under $20. The year before that DragonBall Z Raging Blast was under $10. Wonder if something is going to slip by Amazon again this year.

If you guys want to go in-stores for gaming deals there's no need to line up at the store opening. Most retail stores were pretty well stocked for the majority of the weekend. The only exception was Walmart and the MS store for certain titles (Xbox titles of multi-platform games). I wonder though if Best Buy is going to have some shortage since this year they shrunk their gaming department.
 
I am in the market for a 40-50" TV this BF and I do not care if it is a "SMART" TV as I won't use any of the apps. I am looking at the 40 and 46" Samsungs at Walmart/Target, the 47" Vizio at Target, and maybe the 55" LG at BB. Can anyone offer some recommendations?

It's definitely wrong in the OP. Only one remote is included according to the Best Buy site: The Mario-themed one.
 
It's probably been asked but are Best Buy's multi-platform games on sale for every platform? For example, will Madden 25 be on sale for PS4 and X1 also? Or just current gen.

Nothing next-gen will be on sale this year. Everything just came out or will be coming out around Black Friday. Just current gen.
 
Promo/pre-release sales are pretty common.  Immediate post release sales, not so much.  While appreciated, I wouldn't expect anything significant, if at all.

Because this is the Black Friday thread. We're talking about Black Friday here. I don't consider spending $120 to get one game for free a deal. Outside of that Buy 2 Get 1, which isn't even related or won't even be available come Black Friday, there are no next-gen Black Friday deals mentioned, or at least not yet. I am not expecting there to be any. I imagine if people wanted next-gen Black Friday sales, they'd prefer singular discounts rather than having to purchase two full-priced to get one free.

i have been saying this all week and people still act surprised at no next gen sales. better take advantage of theze b2g1 free deals cause thats the closest to a next gen deal you will have for a few weeks

Can I just buy the game I want today, keep it sealed, then go back on Black Friday, return it and buy it back immediately at the black friday lower price?
