lol. Hopefully it's a typo. I can see it going for $10-$20. I picked it up in September for $20 at Best Buy, and it's the same price right now at Amazon.

Sure hope Dead Space 3 is like $15 on Amazon or Best Buy for Black Friday, love these sales. :)

Can someone give me a little knowledge on Amazon when it comes to Black Friday? I am wanting to get Battlefield 4 from Gamestop, Madden 25 from Walmart and WWE 2k14 from Target. However, I would prefer to get them from Amazon. Mainly because I can avoid the crowds and I will have a gift card for Amazon. I was wondering how Amazon was with previous Black Fridays. Do they price match or do I just need to get lucky and hope they have those games relatively cheap? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Well this was SoCal so not freezing lol But line started inside but last 1/4 of it went out entrance doors and this was at a super walmart. Although that was for xbox 360,the more popular system, and i heard but didnt witness that the ps3 bundle line was significanlty shorter. And yes i went thanksgiving day but it was 7pm start time i think but was still crazy crowded. If you live in average populated area i think i would be there no later an hour imo

Just an FYI, the first post has Best Buy offering Mario and Luigi Wiimotes with the Wii U bundle, but their website indicates that you can only get one or the other with the bundle.

 
This feels like a very weak Black Friday compared to last year.  Also, while I wouldn't expect a sale on PS4/XB1, it'd be nice to see the launch titles (or some of them) on sale for $45-50 for Black Friday.

 
I'd really like to get one of those 4GB Xbox 360's from Wal-Mart for $99! If I can get on I plan on putting my larger HDD into it and selling my 360 Slim with the 4GB HDD. Could sell mine for $100+ and get a newer system and a new controller for basically FREE! Hopefully they offer it online.

I wrote that in relation to the Black Friday deals, not Target's buy 2 get 1 free.

Surprised to see no deals on Xbox live Gold cards this year. Usually I can find some cards in the $30-39 range around Black Friday.

So, is Best Buy going to be selling the Wii U 32g bundle with Super Mario Wii U, Luigi U, and a Mario or Luigi Wiimote...

My nearest gamestop has about 150+ cards for Black Friday. So I would say if you get in during the morning, you should be fine.

 
Amazon had the best countdown week last year.  Basically got everything I wanted, and dirt cheap as well.

Anyone know if they're doing the same thing this year?

 
Does anyone remember if Gamestop marked down the used versions of new games they had on sale last year?

E.G., Tales of Xillia will be on sale new for $20 - should I expect used versions to be marked down to $18 on Friday?

Nothing announced yet but they have done it for 4 straight years I bet they will again. Ive gone to Old Navy 3-4 years in a row. First was Lego Rock Band, next was the Digi Camera, then Dance Factory or something, then Mario Wii U. Every time I was able to get there an hour before open and get the free game no problem (then return the cloths next day).

Also since it doesnt take long you can do other BF shopping before and after.

 
I think someone had a good idea when they said to buy the items early to guarantee that you'll get them.  Then go back on Black Friday, return them for the price you paid, then re-buy them at the sale price.

Does anyone know if this would actually work?  Seems too good to be true.

All of Amazon.com right now is plastered with links to their "Countdown to Black Friday Deals Week" and has been for a week or two, so I'd say the safe answer is yes.

Return rebuy doesnt really work at most stores anymore. I tried it at Kmart last year and they most of the time you need to wait 24 hours or at least some level of time before you can rebuy it

 
Anyone know what kind of lines I can expect if I go to Toys R Us at 5pm on Thanksgiving?  Also, is it more likely to be less hectic and organized or will it be more chaotic?  I just want one thing there.  I hope the lines aren't too long.

A few years back, when TRU opened at midnight, I did that. They usually have an organized line getting it. Just to be warned, tho, is that you are going to be waiting in a long line to check out as well. I'd expect the whole experience would take about 2-3 hours.

 
Man, guys, I love following this thread every year and have benefited greatly from it and this site over the years, but am I the only one getting tired of people asking "how busy will my [major national retailer] be on [at a certain time] [on a certain day]?"  The answer to this question depends ENTIRELY on where you live, the population of that area, etc. etc.  It's like asking, "how busy will the 4th of July parade be in my city this year?" on an international forum like CAG.

However, people's answers to these questions often result in amusing/funny/sad-because-of-our-crazy-culture BF stories and anecdotes, so I really shouldn't complain.

A lot (most) places put up separate rules surrounding their BF sales. This is usually a no go as well, as is layaway typically.
