Does anyone (maybe someone that works at BestBuy?) know whether the 250GB Xbox 360 for $189 at BestBuy is actually the Slim model as pictured in the ad or is the new E model (as pictured in the ads for 360 bundles offered by every other store)?

This seems to be a better deal than the $99 4GB E model at Walmart, but I kind of would rather have the E than the Slim.

Should be the slim and a different bundle than anyone else has since it's an only at BBY thing. If you look at the other ads it's an entirely different bundle. What MS and BBY did is probably agree to sell the older model with a better bundle for the same price.

so is going into walmart friday morning going to be like entering empty halls for the video game section? I could really go for ghosts ps3 for $40. AC4 PS3 $35 and Far Cry 3 PS3 for $15.

Yeah I saw that too, but unfortunately I don't have a Hastings anywhere near me. Not worth it to drive over 50 miles just to save a few bucks. I can find new hard drive online for around 30 bucks anyways so it's all good if I get the $99 version from Walmart.

Care to say where? I'm also looking at gettin the $99 4gb and upgrading the memory, but cannot find any cheap 200gb+ memory drives..

 
can anyone confirm that the 25 dollar games for walmart would be online or just B&M? i am not going to be able to go there on thanksgiving cause i am out of town, really want fifa 14 for that price

They have been in the past, but no one really knows the answer for sure until it happens or Walmart confirms it in a press release.

 
I have to rethink my bf plans now that I'm getting the xbox one. I'm not sure I can justify a ps3 right now. 199 seems like the lowest it'll get for a while.
 
id like to take a steamy dump on 99% of these deals. Terrible. Only taking part in the WalMart and Gamestop deals if they can be bought online...overall, prices aren't nearly good enough to make me go out in those crowds. $10 for dishonored is great, but Id have to want multiple games of that caliber and age and at that price for me to go. $25 for DKC Returns 3ds? I've seen it at that price many times since its release...that's the same price as Beyond Two Souls and that's a brand new console game that's not a port...pricing makes no sense to me.

black Friday used to give much bigger deals that differentiated itself from any other shopping day in the year. That's why people go nuts. Now, it seems like a drop in the bucket; just another sale for them, but add in more products, rather than bigger savings. It's sad. BF has been dead to me for a couple years now. Used to go out EVERY year.

BF is like the Superbowl of cag (aside from the crazy glithces that periodically get discovered here). This thread gets pretty big. Last year I remember taking 30 minute naps in between gaming sessions and frequently checking cag while staying up all night.

Best Buy's holiday return period is already in effect. You have until January 15 to return your products. Not sure if the PM policy reflects the return period like last year.

Most other retailers already have their holiday returns in effect too. TRU and Target come to mind. Everybody is covered through January.

Speaking of which don't just assume though. My receipts from the Target B2G1 say the video games on it are only 30 days right under the item and the date for non-games on the top.

It appears that Tomb Raider just may be making a jump to next-gen in the near future, but I think I'm definitely still going to pick up the current gen version next week, especially since it'll be $15. I don't mind getting the PS3 version for that cheap and then potentially getting the PS4 version down the line. Everything else though I'm waiting to get on PS4 whenever I end up getting one.

It still looks pretty impressive on PS3 and other than maybe some cleaner lines I can't see it being that much more amazing.

Most stores shut down their returns on BF. They only leave CS open for other reasons. Too busy to take returns let alone have people argue over getting their PM. As per BBY PM; they exclude PMs from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.
 
i beat tomb raider for ps3 and it looked fantastic on my sony 3d monitor. as for returns i assume you cant do retun rebuys on black friday ? im asking cause i havent seen as many tomb raider copys instore and im worried they wont restock the game much for bf

It's call TressFX, which is exclusive to AMD cards (both next gen consoles are powered by AMD though, so even so it would make since they'd be capable of it, provided they are inherently powerful enough).

If it's advertised in their ad they'll get that stuff specially shipped in this week and held in the back until BF. A lot of these super cheap games aren't heavily stocked any longer and that's what's going to happen with most of them.

I saw a lot of them on Amazon and other sites. You have to do a little leg work but I'm sure you can find a good deal on one. Maybe there will be some deals on Cyber Monday, who knows.

You can just use the hard drives that are compatible with the fat models still since they are cheaper. Just buy a hard drive slim case which costs less than $10 shipped online and you can use a screwdriver to remove the chassis off the old HD and swap the drives. So the only extra work to you is to buy the slim case and 5 minutes of work. If you're that lazy you can buy a generic slim hard drive online but it'll cost you a lot more money.

OP - please update the Xbox 360 4GB Walmart console as it is only for the E model.  Should be noted that the E model is inferior to the standard S models since there's no optical input so you can't use a gaming headset with this.

I wonder how much Just Dance 2014 is going to be since the ad says $25 and under. Going to Gamestop for Just Dance, Deadpool & PS+ already but might pick up 2 copies for gifts depending on price.

The $300 42"? I'm really tempted by that one as well but it's at the very top end of my spending capability right now and not sure if it's worth spending the money to go from 37" 720p to 42" 1080p. Anyone have thoughts?
