Picked up God Of War : Ascension for $15.89 with a RZ Cert. I didn't really see any listed deals for it except for someone who said Gamestop would have it for $20, so I decided to finally pick it up. And with that, my Black Friday 2013 has begun! Can't wait to see what items Best Buy has listed tomorrow or Tuesday (I think they moved the date back a day). Still weird there's no BioShock Infinite deals. Wish I could read that Amazon game deals schedule, but all I have is a smartphone, so...

Yeah, the only deal on BI on Amazon is the Bioshock Triple-pack, which is all three games for 14.99. I asked Tony about a deal on the season pass, but he said it's not going to happen this time.

 
So so far it looks like I'll be going with walmart for the stuff I want but I just want to make sure, those prices will be available online as well right? cause I'm not about to go out at 6pm on thanksgiving.

So how bad is the burn in on the old OLED Vita? When I googled it I came across a lot of complaints. I only just started reading about it here on CAG.

I've had one since last March. No issues here. I've also never seen a single complaint in the vita subreddit nor in another forum I frequent. I wouldn't worry about it.

Damn, I didn't know about the burn-in issues either. I thought that only happened with Plasma, but I guess not! So, for example, let's say you stay on your Vita XMB for too long. You could potentially be stuck with a burned-in XMB on the screen? I've heard about it with TV channel logos and stuff on Plasmas. Anyone have any pics or anything of how it looks on the Vita? Maybe I should wait for the LCD...

Well the screen auto shuts off after a certain period, like a minute by default, so you're squarely responsible if you get the XMB burned into your Vita. :rofl:

Lol ohhh didn't know it had that function!

...So if the screen has an auto shut-off, how exactly are people having problems with burn-in? I assume the same thing would have to be on the screen long enough for it to happen, and the auto shut-off would take care of that, so I'm sort of perplexed.

Searching it myself the only images I see are of the home screen and you would have to be doing that intentionally. Now when the screen's entirely black you do see something like this:

Apparently this is a completely normal thing with OLED screens and you only see it when the back light's on but there's no image being displayed. You see it like between loading screens but it doesn't show up at all in actual use or game play. It also looks different from screen to screen and the pictures of it make it look far worse than it actually is.

I have a launch PS vita that has no burn in and still works like it did day one, tough as nails. Was even involved in a falling accident outside of my work and hit the asphalt, still working like a champ no scratches or screen problems. I also use the web browser on it everyday at work and at home.

The Mura effect is greatly exaggerated. You are not buying a Vita to stare at a black screen all day so the point of the mura effect is completely moot.

 
Loving Amazon right now. My 40" Samsung SMART TV dropped $22 on Amazon and various other retailers to its Black Friday price....I submitted the low price guarantee this morning (since it's not Black Friday which is the only exclusion Amazon mentions) and already got the refund this afternoon!

What kind of trouble? Cause if the controller's fully functional, I use MotioninJoy and run the controller via USB to it. And I've used it to emulate 360 profiles on certain games that allow it (Skyrim, for example).

 
Yeah me too. Been using motionjoy, but wanted to give the 360 controller a try. I do sometimes however have had the software not openiing, loading the drivers, etc. But anyways, dont want to get off-topic. Thanks!

I might be wrong but I think that's a digital copy of the base game plus whatever expansions they're bundling with it now. They had a box with that cover art at BBY when I was there Friday.

Edit- This is what I'm talking about and looks like it includes up through Cataclysm. Basically the new Battlechest.

My wife found some green wireless headphones at 2nd and charles for $40. With what we traded in, it only cost us $10 to get them.

I get home and realize...HOLY SHIT! These are the GTA V Gamestop exclusive Sony Pulse Elite headphones that retail for $180 new. They are in MINT condition. The sound quality on these compared to my Turtle Beach headphones are night and day.

So.

My brother-in-law really wants a 3DS. He's used my 3DS XL a few times but didn't like how "flimsy" the XL's clamshell design felt. But he's really enjoyed playing Luigi's Mansion and has dropped some not-so-subtle hints about what he really wants for Christmas.

Suffice it to say, I've been eyeing that Luigi's Mansion/3DS bundle for him. Is the clamshell on the 3DS as wobbly as it is on the XL? And in terms of battery life, how does it compare?

I've never even held a standard 3DS before so I do appreciate any help.

I haven't held one but the battery life on the XL is better and rated at 3.5-6.5 hours compared to 3-5 hours on the normal unit.
