Wow, I had a near-ideal experience at GameStop this morning. It had to have been a fluke.

Even though I knew the store opened at 5 AM, I left my alarm set to my usual wake-up call of 6:30 AM. Then when it went off, I slapped the snooze a couple times so I didn't actually get out of bed until 6:45 AM. I arrived at my local GameStop around 7:00 AM.

There was a police officer stationed right outside the door. But when I walked through the door, there were no customers in the store. None. There were around seven or eight employees, standing around and just shooting the breeze. But I was the only customer in the entire store. I walked up to the counter and inquired about the three sale items I had come there to purchase. (Tales of Xillia, Soul Sacrifice, and an 8 Gig Vita card) They still had all three in stock.

As they were ringing my purchase up, I inquired as to the availability of the Playstation 4. Turns out the had some of those too! Not knowning how well the stock would hold out during the holidays, I went ahead and acquired one.

So I went out to GameStop two hours after it opened, was able to pick up everything I went there for, and then some, and didn't have to wait in line at all. (or deal with other customers) Had to have been a fluke.

Went out at 9, walked for an hour to the nearest Gamestop, got Xillia LE since that's all they had. L.A. Noire had the dlc slips and film negatives in them. I wonder if the codes expired.

I'm not sure about the wii u, but for Vita I heard ebay has it for 150 (not sure if its still going though), other than that Amazon I know has it for 175 with uncharted, walking dead, sly cooper, and i think retro city rampage.

 
I haven't checked the previous pages, but is Lego Marvel Super Heroes for Xbox One (at Gamestop) supposed to be on sale? It's showing up on the website as 40 bucks.

 
Did any of you guys walmarts have a display for BF games like normal? The walmart I hit last night they directed me to photo where they were handing out "stickers" for certain titles. This was after 6. The lady there asked what I wanted like I had a list in my head of what was on sale and started reading me titles. I asked if they had a list and she said nope. I just wanted to see the titles that they had that might not have made the ad but I just gave up. I had already picked up The Last of Us and Battlefield 4 earlier in the day so I just said fuck it.

Except for the titles with the 1 hour guarantee they had the sale stuff in a closed off grocery aisle with the movies.

will Wal-Mart still sell their Thursday video game deals today? I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and was able to find a few of the games I wanted. Getting in wasn't a big deal but the cashier lines were huge. I ended up hiding the games, maybe I could go to Wal-Mart today and still get the games for Thursday's prices?

Yes, I just came out of Walmart with the games I wanted. They had plenty of different titles and I saw plenty of Sticker Star. The only game hard to find was the Last of Us. No wait for me this morning at the cash register either.

Finished Walmart, took an hour scavenging, got everything I wanted. Everything is still plentiful at 10AM, crowd was still doable due to everyone doing it yesterday and the rain might have reduced some from coming out early.
I'm right now at Target, game selection suck at the $10, $15, and $25 categories. I'll just be getting Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 and be on my way.

Gamestop doing returns today? I waited in line and bought a ps4 last night for a friend that had to work and now they decided to tell me they couldn't pay me back until the first of the year...

just got a used gow ascension for under 9$ after my coupons and a battlefield 4 for 360 to flip to bestbuy. time to get more blurays !!! btw pacific rim was sick and a great way to start my day :D

All of the Target games are terrible. I was denied the 3 month Xbox Live card for $10 because it wouldn't ring up for $10 even though I had the circular with me. The manager refused to do an override so I passed. They didn't have the $10 Just Dance 3 because they never got it, so I bought the 2014 one for my niece from Gamestop for $15. The best non-clearance game deal I found was Angry Birds for Wii U for $15 which wasn't in the circular. I'm on a Wii U kick right now so I'll keep that one but I'm probably going to return most of what I bought there. My other good purchases were the steelbook version of the Django Blu-Ray for $9 and the Pacific Rim Blu-Ray for $6.
 
Well, my BF experience was pleasantly painless.

Got off shift Thursday night, stopped by my local BBY and snagged the last SanDisk 32GB Ultra card for $18. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Ran across the lot to the Toys R Us and got the Luigi's Mansion/3DS bundle for my brother-in-law.

Got home, gave him the bundle and he was pumped. Opened it up, took the 3DS out and held it for a few minutes. And of course, he decided the 3DS was too small. I agreed with him. And that thing was a fingerprint machine. So we put the console back in the box and were able to return it for a full refund 30 minutes later. Got a $10 gift card for buying the bundle. Tried to give it back when we made the return but the lady told us we could keep it. 

Woke up this morning, got a $25 copy of :3ds: SM3DL from Wal Mart.

Easy and painless.
