Killzone 2 is $9.99, I saw 6 copies in Bolton. Had to go there to pick up Invictus DVD used for ~$10.
I ended up getting Beatles RockBand for $9.99 instead , I don't think I'm interested in another shooter.

Was that for a used copy of Killzone? Was 19.99 (new) at my BBV.
 
I checked out Blockbuster last night unaware of this sale, they have virtually no stock of new games. What they did have was all the crappy titles nobody buys and like 2 or 3 PSP games. I wasn't looking at 360 tho, just PS3 and PSP.

Can anyone in Edmonton verify the 50% $4.99 titles? I've tried a couple of BBV's in the Edmonton area and no luck. I'd like to get a couple of the titles listed, but they aren't scanning at $4.99 to start (ie. Burnout Paradise is $14.99).

I went to my local BB tonight and scooped up 6-7 games that were priced at $4.99. Narnia, The Watchmen, Euro 2008, were 3 of the games i remember. On the safe side i asked the guy if they would ring up as $2.50 since they were out of the bin with the sign that says "Selected titles 50% off". The guy seemed lost and said that it only applies to selected titles. I asked him to scan one of the games to see if it comes up as $4.99 or $2.50. It rung up as $4.99. My question is, do the employees have to enter a code to signify the 50% reduction in price, or will the cash automatically ring up the discounted price? Games i've seen listed in this thread for $2.50 were in my hand which makes me wonder if this guy just had no clue what was going on.
 
Just buy them, when they get ready to take payment it automatically adds a -2.50 credit for each one while the csr stares thinking something is wrong

Couple more for the list, ps3 conflict denied ops, wii speed racer, looks like most 09 and older sports one, eg ps3 ncaa 09 football and nba live 08

incredible they have metroid 3 for 2.50...wish there was stuff like that here :(
 
MP3 is only that price probably due to the completely out of print of the 5 copies they sold in Canada titled Metroid Prime trilogy. :p
Otherwise, it might be 10 bucks. :lol:

Some may have been misticketed or manually overriden.. but a lot of those titles I have picked up myself that scan for $4.99 and then -50% automatically.

I dont think beatles should be on the 2.50 list, its $10

360 skate (first one) is 2.50. I think its safe to assume pretty much all will be 360/ps3 the same price.

you'll get the 50% off, its on the sale sheet. The staff dont know, it initially scans at 4.99, but it fixes itself.
 
I was at two BBV locations ... the cashier at the first one had to enter the discount manually, but it came up automatically at the second.

I think this sale is even better than the Game Days thing EB has going on now ...
 
I got damnation for 2.50 because people had mentioned it. But the review on gamerankings is 48%, so you probably dont want a new one for $10.

I was able to get 7 games for a total of $16.92. The woman who works there said that some of the games came up as free after the 50% off thing was scanned. So she gave them to me for free. Not a bad deal at all!
 
The Blockbuster at Bathurst & Steeles (Vaughn, Ontario) is going out of business and everything in the store is 30% off.

I got Prince of Persia & The Two Thrones for $0.70 and Dead Rights for $0.70 plus XIII for $2.50. Their game selection isn't the greatest but they still got a ton of movies.

Umm....I don't think so if I remember right. I think there were plenty of DVDs there but if I remember correctly there was a Blu-Ray stand but none left.

I forgot to mention the store will be closing officially on July 24th.
 
I was looking for Prototype for cheap but couldn't find it, I figured it's time to get it and play it. The new version was $20 though and I remember seeing it elsewhere for that price too.

I expected that as well, however, the code with my copy worked and allowed me to DL the tracks. I was a tad bit surprised.

The 50% discount is applied to $4.99 and under used games. I'm not sure if every Blockbuster is having the sale, but I've been to 5 Blockbusters, and they all had the sale going on. Price was automatically adjusted at the register.
 
X360 Nascar 08 is 4,99 and scan at 4.99. I'm not lucky :lol: Blockbuster (Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Québec) I did not buy it.

Thanks for the tip on MGS4, just picked up a copy. Also got Overlord (the first one) as well for $2.50, both were labeled $9.99 but scanned in at $4.99 and then with the discount, $2.50.

That sounds like the new price. The deal is only on used games.

All the games will scan at 4.99 there. but I got the CSR to manually override them (code wouldnt work) Bought a bunch, she credited me 1 game at 4.99 out of 2 :p

Just a heads up for those who weren't aware. A guy over at RFD is compiling a list of all the games that qualify for the $2.50 deal. Quite a decent list, unfortunately most stores are already picked over.
 
got Darksiders for $20 instead of $40 witch is nice
although the block buster i went to did not have vary much signs up of telling
you whats on sale, even the clerks where not to sure of whats on sale.

I'd recommend Watchmen for $2.50... Fun co-op game with two people.

also got g.i. joe for $10...wanted to try it out

went to three different stores and they all had different prices and signs. kinda confusing, but if you know what the deal is, you should be ok.
