I own too many consoles to be a fanperson, but I won't accept a clearly unstable and inferior console. EVERYTHING is better on Wii and PS3. The only people clinging to a 360 are those who were sadly given one as a gift and can't afford better. There's simply no reason to own a 360, ever. And at this point you can't claim ignorance either.

It sucks because the 360 is poor enough to make all the sales for those versions instead. I know they need to try desperate things to move their stock but they could still put the sale on both.

frame analysis is only half the battle...It doesn't mean shit really. You take some of the best games in history and they barely ran at 30 FPS. Hell, I'll even tell you how shitty Gran Turismo looks on the PSP even though that is 30 FPS...Its the quality of the game, not how fast it runs. Sure that plays a part...and no, I'm not going to give you links on everything, just google search "(insert game title) PS3 vs X360 comparison" and you will be taken to a plethora of reviews, youtube and such..

i'm done on this! Nobody ever wants to fight the good fight for Sony. Everyone forgets that if it wasn't for the 'lil PS1 we would not be where we are today. It would be Nintendo, Sega and MSFT would have bowed out after the original Xbox (if it even launched w/ no PS2 around..)
 
360 version is going to be patched.
Also all those games you said were better on ps3, most have a PC version that kicks the shit out of the consoles.

I want this but my backlog of games is so fucking huge im gonna wait for 20 dollars.

so you're saying that the Wii's online service is better than 360's? :roll:

If we're arguing about software, Ghostbusters and Bayonetta come to mind where the PS3 version wasn't as good as 360, not that it really matters to anyone unbiased. Each console has it's pros and cons, you honestly can't make a statement like that and claim not to be a fanperson.

I don't believe in reviews and that is why I run the test by myself.
Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3.

I know it's the quality of game that determines it, but I don't see why they are superior. I just thought my analyzer was broken when you said they were superior because they absolutely have no different on the content.

EDIT: Confirmed that the same textures were used in a exactly same manner. (Dead Space & Assassins Creed)
 
I know this is probably what y'alls debate is about...but how are the graphics for the 360 version?

I've heard about the screen tearing prob, but I'm just curious as to how graphics are. NO, I'm not trying to see how they compare to a diff console...but how are they in general terms of a next-gen game?

I know the guy who made the game is a comic book artist, so I know to expect WoW-esque graphics...but i'm just wondering how they are in general

I think this game, as well as Bayonetta will either make it into the spend 80 get 20 deal for amazon or a TRUS Buy 1, get one half off (maybe even a B2G1). At the very least, the next gamestop, buy 2, get one free, should be far enough in the future to catch these there. Thats' what I'm waiting for. Hopefully i'll catch darksiders bayonetta and dante's inferno in the same deal.

Don't do it man! I want it too but I just got Army of Two and Bayonetta Tuesday and havent even touched them, gott wait until I finish borderlands. and I was hoping to get to BatmanAA after that. just wait a couple of weeks and it should pay off. I'm sure we all have huge backlogs so getting somethings out of the way should be our main priorities.
 
After selling the Amazon exclusive Home codes (ruin mask and war armor), i ended up getting the game for -$30. I guess i got lucky for selling the codes at the right time! I'll be playing this game tonight.
 
haha, ok sherisdoppel I'll go with you on it :) I'm no A/V specialist, but its cool that you compare by yourself..either you're mega rich to double-dip on different platforms or rent a lot of stuff!

Not something that's really impressive. The artworks look like Warcraft series and the graphics are just okay but colorful and cartoon-ish.
Definitely as next-gen game, it looks good.
Just for your info, 360 version does suffer from screen tearing and it's horrible.

Well I don't buy them on both platforms normally, but certainly have people around with the games.
 
Nice find OP. Game looks great visually. Love the art style. What keeps me from grabbing this is that the gameplay, I heard, is meh. Sounds like a slightly above average game. I'm going to wait until its around $20 to pick this up. Plus, there are a lot of other games coming out that I would rather have... and then there is that backlog business...
 
I picked this up last week and its a damn good solid title. If you're on the fence grab it. For me its like when I picked up Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy last generation. A title that I thought would be kind of fun and ended up really loving. With what I know now from playing it $39.99 makes it a no brainer.

Playing it now. It's good, not great, IMO. I've found the control scheme to be a little wonky and cumbersome during battles, so it seems like I'm fighting that more than enemies. You're not missing all that much if you pass. It's only my game-OCD that is making me complete it rather than moving on to some AAA titles in my backlog.

Agonized over the gogamer price for a day; cheaper and free shipping made this one easy to bite on.

One of my most looked forward to games of 2010, but I couldn't bring myself to pay MSRP.
 
Does anyone know if this is their permanent price, or just a weekly sale?

I may not be ready to purchase it for a few weeks.
 
This is a great game, reminds me a LOT of Ocarina of Time with God of War style combat. I also enjoy the vivid ALMOST cel shaded graphics, really makes the world pop, I guess the best way to describe them is they look like a comic book.

I just got the platinum trophy, wasn't too difficult, but it was loads of fun. Makes me really hyped for 3D Dot Game Heroes.

the controls are definitely not the best and get in the way a bit, but I still think its worth playing. not the greatest game I've ever played, but it's pretty solid and a cool zelda/GoW hybrid.
 
All the "God of War + Zelda" comparisons pretty much bring this one to the top of my want list. SOMEONE GIVE ME A JOB! :(

I definitely see the God of War/Zelda comparison, but agree with most of the reviews that say it's closer to Zelda than GoW. I think the leveling up of abilities and weapons is more like GoW than the actual gameplay, since Darksiders is in full 3D while GoW has a fixed perspective. Maybe more like Zelda/Ninja Gaiden?

I'm nearing the end of the game and am really enjoying the ride. It has great voice acting (Mark Hamill!), an engaging story, lots of beat-em-up fighting and some pretty satisfying puzzles, although nothing I've found too complex. I haven't had a problem with the controls once I got used to it, although it may help if you've played some fighting games like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry.

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes these types of games (action w/ puzzles, platforming, etc.) It's a well done game with a lot of polish.
 
I would love to see Amazon PM this. Still on the fence but have a feeling I will bite....common AMAZON you know you want my money

Oh yeah, good idea! $34 apiece would be awfully hard to pass up, especially if I go in with my brother and let him have Bayonetta, which out of the three I'm kinda "Meh" about. :roll:

Btw, anyone else find it kinda interesting that Darksiders, Bayonetta and Dante's Inferno all have the Christian faith influence in them, all released around the same time? :whistle2:k

I have it on PS3. I haven't played it in about a week because I ordered the guide (which is taking forever to get here. Sold out everywhere so I got it from an Amazon seller who seems to have sent it Media Mail so who knows if I'll ever see it). It's a damn good game. None of the puzzles are impossible or annoying. There's one in the second dungeon where I kept wandering around the room thinking "WTF am I supposed to do?" but I eventually figured it out (and that's a great feeling).

Definitely worth buying, especially if you just have a 360 which doesn't have a great selection of action/adventure games.
 
I think a contributing factor to me enjoying the game was playing it just after beating Bayonetta. Now that games dodging has to be exact so you get to slow down time and they work in much the same way so it was an easy transition. I actually enjoyed the game overall more than Bayonetta, but I think Bayonetta was more entertaining because it was non-stop action. Darksiders was more of an explore the game when you want (just like Zelda, duh) so it broke up the action parts.
 
Great deal! I picked it up at Gamestop for 20 from the current promo. I love the game and can't wait to play more of it tonite. I highly recommend it for 40.
 
Can definitely recommend the game at this price. Damn good game, doesn't have any flaws but the main concern is its not really super original on anything, but everything works excellent as expected (even us gamers ultra high expectations) and its fun, what more ya need.
