Agreed! Escaflowne does happen to be my favorite anime though, so maybe I'm bias. ^_^

Outlaw Star is awesome too, I guess it just depends on what type of anime you're wanting, as they're pretty different in terms of story, setting, etc.

And if anyone else is looking for cheap, quality anime, Giant Robo Economy Pack for $12.07 after coupon is AWESOME. ;) I paid something like $16-$18 when the set first came out and I enjoyed it immensely.
 
I am NOT happy with this stupid company. First I order something on June 7, and the order never actually goes into the system. TThen I call them up and find that out, and reorder it. I ask the lady "so this is in stock and will ship out soon right?" she says yes, and I even confirm it on the website. Then after the order has gone through, oh look how convenient, its on backorder and will come in 6/21. Btw, I ordered the saiyuki complete collection. (the adv one not the rip-off geneon box set)
Oh, yes, Outlaw Star FTW.
 
They are sometimes slow in getting to customers. But it could also be they are flooded with customers around this time.

i dont know about other people but maybe a 1/3 of the dvds i get from them dont seem "factory sealed." like sometimes the cover insert is too big and doesnt really fit the case. they look like DD put the discs in generic cases and put the stickers on the top [sometimes on the side and bottom] and plastic wrapped it. also with my big orders the free shipping[media mail] takes about 3-4 weeks for hawaii. but sometimes i get priority mail on backordered dvds from those orders. all in all though, ive gotten great deals and theyre one of few online sites i know where i can get free shipping to hawaii [amazon and rightstuf the others]

they look at the same system you see online, which sometimes can't keep up with the stock, since it doesn't refresh every once in awhile.. believe me though, i understand your frustrations

i just know that DD is a really good and reliable store, some people just need to calm down...other people that are having problems should realize that everyone makes mistakes...DD's customer service has always been top knotch with me whenever i've had a problem with them

I agree. Although I chose not to partake in this sale (I went with DVDPlanet), DD CS is awesome. They replaced quite a few discs of mine that were damaged during shipping with no questions asked. People bitching need to calm down. They are getting SWAMPED right now. I can only imagine what their workers go through right now. Just be glad we get this sale.

Ya know, I picked that up for my brother along with Undeclared... and the coupon worked. I didn't check at the time to see if it said pre-order, since I had no issues when I put in the coupon code. My confirm email does say pre-order on it, tho'.

Have you tried putting it in your cart and applying a code?

Yeah, I ordered about 600 dollars worth of stuff (practically my entire family has summer birthdays), and one DVD was missing from an order. A quick call to customer service got it fixed right away.

I was pondering getting TNG until the Rightstuf sell. I allready have DS9 and just got TOS. Hopefully it's still in print in November. But I get paid again soon and I'll have 4 more full paychecks before I start school again i might just say screw it and order anyways.

I'm tempted to do the same, but I think I'll only get DS9 or TNG, not both. It's a tough choice.

Great, great series, although sometimes the clarity of storytelling isn't very good, and sometimes they overcomplicate very simple ideas.

Personally I got Twin Peaks Season 2 and Once and Again Season 2, since these two shoes are always full price and never on sale.

I got the Oskar Multimedia Cabinet (1080/506) due to that discount. It's rather bigger then I imagined. Bust a lock bolt on it when I attempted to tighten a connection. It's also all that cheap pressboard stuff, but I didn't expect real wood for the price and size of this thing. Hopefully I wont need another DVD tower for a while now.

I wish I knew the content of the new set. Usually for these they pull the bonus discs then just package everything together in a smaller set. Three days to make up my mind.

Yep, and the coupon wouldn't apply. Tried it with some in stock DVD's and it worked fine, oh well.

So much $$ for so many bad movies...lol, I kid, I haven't seen half those movies... At least you got a ton of DVDs. I went crazy as well and spent nearly 300$ on criterions and box sets and Venture Bros. season 2.
 
My last order of the sale is Hellsing Ultimate for $13.41.

I really wish I wouldn't have placed that order after finding the LE version at Sam Goody on sale for $19.99 (doesn't include the book), PLUS them having the Buy 1 Get 1 Free Geneon deal. I ended up buying it and Petite Cossette for $21.18 (PC was marked $19.99 but came up as $29.99, but they did a price override for me, taking $10 off both Hellsing and PC).

How bad is it to do a return with DD? The regular edition has already shipped so I can't cancel it. :\
 
Heh, one of the last things they shipped out to me was the first thing I received out of two orders: Black Lagoon #1.

It looks like pretty much anything from Shout! is now a pre-order. Vivendi Universal takes over distribution for Shout! this month, so that is probably the cause of the June 19th release dates.
