Was in my local BB last night (nothing worth buying)...they have a "special" display where they keep their "best" used games. There were 4 games, Condemned for $55, the copy of PDZ (that I traded in) for $45 and the copy of Red Ninja that I traded in for $45...I giggled inside when I saw that
 
Dare I call GR today about Tetris and Metroid? After all, they get their new releases on Friday :roll:

Well, there is the mentioned launch date of "Early November 2006" but nothing concrete down to the specific day. So, that's what the CSR told me at my local GR store.

I don't know if anyone else has found one of these, but I picked up a orginial xbox live 12 month subscription card w/ the bag 50% off of the reg. $39.99. The awesome news: I plugged the subscription number into my 360 live account (I already had a live 360 12 month) and it extended my subscription for another year. Not bad for $20 bucks...
 
Dropped by today and traded in one of the Star Wars Jedi Hunter PS2 controllers. Was expecting to get $6 but got $3 instead.

Oh well.. Traded in my last Red Ninja. Still going strong at $27.

Also traded in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon GBA .. Got $10 for that.

To top things off, I picked up a complete Final Fantasy IX for $6.99 in pretty nice shape.

The guys there talked me out of getting Xenosaga II though. Is Xenosaga II worth $10.

He even told me at the beginning that they don't carry Hunters (to which I nearly went off for why I was allowed to preorder in the first place), but there were other orders. It's a shame the trade-in value is decent, but stuff like this happens.

I'm gonna go over today, make sure they check the drawer, see if they've put it out on the floor, etc. Then find out how many, if any, they have on order.

And Xenogears II is definately worth $10. I bought it for $10 at the TRU clearance and it kicks ass.

That would also work... I have one that just converts PS2 -> XB or GC, but I don't even use it anymore seeing that have have a slew of XB controllers...

And BTW - Hulk: Ultimate Destruction:xbox: only got me $16 today at BB, $3 less than the OP shows. Not too bad however, since I bought that game from that same store a few months back for $10 :D

Looks like it's time to take my GameRush business to another store.

If they want to hassle me about trading in games, that's one thing. But today I get hassled for returning Mario Golf. Apparently, since I tried - and failed - to get the $10 back on my account from overpaying for AOE DS (preordered when it was 39.99, they changed it to 29.99 when it came in), and returned RE: DS a few weeks ago, they are now allowed to grill me about why I'm returning sealed games. It seems I'm guilty of some sort of return scam or something, but I'm unsure why.

I will be going back, since I have four open preorders, but next time I might just take all my receipts with me so I can demostrate that when you buy a ridiculous amount of games, chances are you will have buyer's remorse once or twice over the course of a year. [Bought 22 games at GR, returned 3 - 2 new/sealed, 1 used/defective]

Best part is that the guy giving me the hassle is the CAG who I've held as one of the two good employees at that store. The number is down to zero now.

I tried to trade in a Power Drome PS2 at a Blockbuster, was offered $2.50. Traded it in anyways, since I just bought it for $2.70 and wanted to get a soda.
 
End of my story: Took my preorders of Metroid and Tetris, due to being told DS games don't sell as well there or something to that extent. Bought Suikoden V and preordered Kingdom Hearts 2 (hoping console games sell like hotcakes the day they release) and snagged Metroid and Tetris at Best Buy, whipping out GGCs left and right.

To make my day all the better, the alarm went off when I was leaving Best Buy and McDonald's gave and charged me for a small fry when I said medium.

Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta. At least all the employees I dealt with were friendly.

Im like at the point where..if i even see a stranger get hassled for trading games i step in and belitte the employee.
I think blockbuster shouldve apologized for all the trouble people went through last year during the big trade deals other companys apologise for there own faults and inconvience to customers.

Ah, OK, I was just about to get on here (just got back home) and rant about GR not having Metroid or Tetris when I went in there tonight on my way back from the airport. Looks like this is another Batallion Wars scenario (where they got it 2 weeks later). They also told me Tales of Legendia was due in Weds ?? :roll: Yeah, OK, I'll believe that when I have it in my mitts...

Oh yeah, and Red Ninja still gets $27 as of Saturday night :D.

Anyone know the price on Play /w with Eyetoy and Play2 w/ Eyetoy ? I saw Play 2 with a blue sticke but no price tag. The line was crazy on Saturday and didn't want to stand in line.

I had read about this in the sales paper for this week yesterday and didn't even think about it when I was able to get to a CC I don't normally go to last night. All well I was still able to get the two copies they had and trade them in to GR for $54 in credit. Now, I have enough credit for my Premium 360 whenever my local GR ever gets some in.

Also, my local GR which is the one on Southfield Rd. in Allen Park, MI didn't have many games with the blue dots on them and most of the stuff they had was all those PSP games that aren't worth buying at the sales price.

I went back to CC and got the adjustment of $2.75/per game... the difference plus 10%. So $8.25+tax returned. I decided to go for a quick lap around the store and would you freakin' believe it.. ANOTHER copy! That makes four at the one CC store.

$29.25 = $108... not too shabby. :D

I was able to go back to my local CC today and get the price adjustment on the two copies of Red Ninja I got yesterday so I got back five bucks and spent it on another copy so I was able to get another copy for $7.50 today. To bad I threw away the first receipt I had from CC because I would have had it price adjusted it too.

I wonder if each CC store is just getting these in two per week during the Cool Deals promotion? OR does each store have a lot of copies but only put them out 2 at a time? Because I have never seen more than two on the floor at any given CC.

Also, one more thing. How come so many of us are able to find this game in-store but yet it has been out of stock on circuitcity.com for the past two weeks?

Grabbed two Red Ninjas today, both came up $7.50... going to trade them both to GR tommorrow, throw in another filler Xbox game or two to get about $62 in credit, and get Tetris for myself and my Mom as a present.

Did the other local Tampa Bay CAG's already grab all the Red Ninja's at their local CC's?
