Yeah, well with the high turnover rate (or employee shuffling) that happens at most BB I'm sure I could do it now too - none of the same people are there that were there 6 months ago except the manager, and he wasn't there a year ago. I just haven't had too much use for trade-in prices recently. I just let Shipwreck find all the good games for me :D.

One of the others from the BB sale -- DBZ Sagas was $9.75 earlier in the evening, but seemed to drop to $4.75 later on in the evening, so YMMV on what you get for it. It's getting ~$13 from Wherehouse/FYE, so that's probably the better place to trade it in, though.

Among other things, I found that the MadCatz Retrocon controllers for PS2 are part of the 50% off sale (don't seem to recall having seen them mentioned) -- they were one of the few accessories without a blue dot that I saw in a store that had most everything marked properly.
 
Yesterday i scored a used wireless Xbox360 controller from the 50% off sale, for 19.98. Very cool, using it to make sure nothing is wrong, it seems great, except for a few marker marks on it. And it can't hurt to have the 30 day guarantee.

I might go back for one or two of the headsets too... great for groups to be on XBL

Yeah, I didn't see any GOOD accessories for 50% off. I thought it was NEW stuff that was 50% off.....he probably got lucky. I know my GR has a USED 360 memory card I would like when NCAA 07 comes out.

So, anyone going to try Red Ninja today?
 
I would, but I'm pretty sure my BB has hit their stock limit because of me. It's a smallish store in a small town. I doubt they'd take more than 4 copies of it.
 
A little off topic but, what is the return policy on used games? I bought one that had multiple discs. Disc 1 is fine but Disc 2 won't read. How many days do I have to return it. Will I just get store credit or will they even take it back.

Used accessories are 50% off as well. (I'm pretty sure I put that in the OP, but I'll have to check.)

I'm not sure as none of the GRs around me have used 360 accessories, but two people have reported getting them for 50% off, so if you see something it is worth a shot.

I honestly think that it is 50% off all used accessories, but I haven't seen it in writing or anything.
 
I decided to preorder Kingdom Hearts 2 from GR this past weekend after the Tetris/Metroid fiasco, under the impression that console games get there on time. (They HAD Oblivion.) Can anyone confirm KH2 getting in this week instead of April? I'd hate to be disappointed twice in a row by my preordering antics.

All the GR's I've been to have had April 7th on their board, along with a sheet that says "Preorder April's Hottest Games!!" with KH 2 on it.

Those things really don't mean jack though. They are as useful as calling GR and asking when a game is coming in (it will always be Friday). I bet if you ask them to look it up in their computers it will say that they will have it March 31st. My guess, go to GR on Wednesday afternoon and pick up Kingdom Hearts 2.

check your receipt. you should have up to 30 days to return used merchandise at GR.

I'm going to try Red Ninja again today. I'll let you know what the trade in is. I hope it's still $27. I did 2 yesterday. They said you could only do 2 copies of the same game each day.

Off the subject....but does anyone know how long you stay a "CAG in training"?

BeyBlade GRevolution (GBA) dropped down to $4.50 in trade today. GR employee was cool about it though and adjusted it back up to $8 for me since he remembered quoting me that price yesterday.

A friend of mine scored big at a Gamerush. Two Logitech Xbox and a Logitech PS2 wireless controllers (all new versions) for about $5 each.

I picked up a bunch of Gameboy and Gameboy Color games for about $2-7 each. Metroid II, Warioland 1-3, Mario Brox. Deluxe, and a bunch more.

I haven't seen anyone whine about Tetris or Metroid... just people wondering why GR is over a week late on both of these games, espically since they are major releases.

Hehe, another trophy for my son's room :D. We have several Nintendo display boxes in his room already. I'm going to make sure to ask about the Metroid and Tetris displays when I'm in there next time, but they probably have to display them at least until the games comes in :roll:.

They FINALLY took down the Tales of Legendia preorder case display they had up for several months on an endcap.

I can't believe all you people pushing the Red Ninja's in multiples and calling about it (I know in your case Roufuss you said you didn't care what they did to you). I guess I'm just too skittish about bringing ANY attention to that game because I have so much credit saved up for the possibility of getting a PS3 and Revo at GR and don't want to blow it (AGAIN, not that there's anything technically wrong with trading 2 copies per day all year long as that is their only restriction). I've been trading only 1 copy in at different stores, and I'm running out of stores to go to :D. CC keeps restocking the damn game and having sales on it, what the hell am I supposed to do!

Well, I also don't have time to drop one title at a time and spread it out... I want the payoff now! :lol: I think all of the Tampa Bay area is cleaned out of Red Ninja's, unless Elmyra left some at the Clearwater location... I just got the last one at the Dale Mabry store, and traded it in along with two crappy leftover games of my own -

Vexx (xbox) - $2.50
Gunmetal - $2.50
Red Ninja - $27

Which gave me just enough credit for Drill Dozer. Not bad getting the game for only $7.50 out of pocket! I usually spend all my credit on handheld releases, since they never go on sale very often anymore.

Besides, it seems that GR has gotten really lax on banning people... in my lifetime history, I've done -

Geist x 6
Dead to Rights 2 x 8
Nightmare of Druaga x 6
King of Fighters: Maxiumum Impact x 2
Kuon x 6
Red Ninja x 3

And other then today and yesterday, I have NEVER traded in anything else other then these games. My trade history would give me away instantly if they ever pulled it up, since it shows I've only done big money games en masse, and I've never once been questioned about it. In alot of these cases I did 2 per day for 4 or 5 days straight... once I even did 4 copies in one day of D2R2 spread out over multiple GR's.

To confirm what Shipwreck said, still no Tetris or Metroid Prime Hunters, employee had no clue when they would be there, espically since his computer still says they are coming out the 24th.

Are there anymore games like these out there that have a great trade-in value but are cheap somewhere else? I've wiped out all 3 of the CC's around me.

No, seriously, I don't know. There may be some other obscure games like Red Ninja that are $24 or $27 but haven't been uncovered yet. It was just a beautiful coincidence that shipwreck discovered Red Ninja got $27 right around the same time it went on sale at Circuit city for $7.50. It happens every now and then, like with Dead to rights II, and the TRU $9.99 sale which produced several titles that traded in for $27 at GR.

Having said that, does anyone know what PS2 Enthusia Racing (currently $4.99 at Best Buy) fetches at GR? Could be one of those titles that has kept under the radar and still gets 24...maybe...?!
