Please note: The 50% off prices will not show on the registers until the employee hits the "Total" button.

Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).
I don't know, but that's what I've been hoping, since I put all of my credit on gift cards. I figure it's best to be safe. I think in a previous GR thread, somebody mentioned that credit that was tied to an account instead of on a gift card was wiped out.
Yea, I remember that same thread, which is why I ALWAYS ask for them to put it on a gift card. Some employees do it, some give me a weird look and question it, which I say "Well, in case my girlfriend wants to buy a game or a movie she won't need me to come with her" and they just say "Oh, that makes sense".

I haven't seen Berzerker in here in awhile... did he stop trading at Gamerush altogether?

I haven't seen him around the forums at all, so I couldn't tell you.

PM'ed you about where to find a possible Red Ninja... since you were going to go to CP, the place I've listed aren't too far off.
Does Gamerush have Rumble Roses, Farcry and Top Spin 2 in yet all for 360?
I believe it was posted a page or two back.....YES.
Shit, I just realized I don't have my receipt for the red ninjas I bought. I thought I had it in my desk where I usually keep all my reciepts, but I cleaned it out today and I don't have it. Theres $5xx more I lose.

Anyone ask lately if a new trade in deal is coming soon?
If you paid with a credit or debit card, you don't need a receipt to get a pricematch, you just need the card that you used.

Two Red Ninjas down, three more to go. I was actually in and out of a Gamerush in 2 minutes today... the guy told me he fills out the mounds of paperwork AFTER the customer leaves so they aren't sitting there waiting for 10 - 15 minutes.

If only all GR's around here did that.
Which one was that? I need to use that location. :)
34th Street South. It was a guy, he was showing this other guy how to do a trade, and he's like "You have to fill out all these forms so they can make sure the goods aren't stolen, however, since it sometimes takes awhile, I just fill them all out after the customer has already left".

He gave me credit for the two red ninjas, told me how much it was, put it on a card, and I did the thumbprint and signature and that was it.

I had been avoiding that location, but maybe I'll have to go back. It sounds like they got some new employees.

Jeez... assuming you get someone who knows what they're doing, that's all we ever need to do... minus the thumb print. Florida must have some crazy problems with stolen goods.

Strange, I've never had to fill out anything other than sign a GameRush trading agreement when I first started trading. CA must be different.

Fingerprints just to trade stuff in? Damn...

No thumb print here either, just a one time trading agreement and that's it.

Thanks for the news on the Red Ninjas. I overheard some other employees talking about the Red Ninjas. Don't know if its good or bad but I think I am gonna trade my last one some place else.

6 Red Ninjas traded in so far. I've found about 7-8 50% off games and last night I finally found Logitech wireless controllers for both PS2 and Xbox, $15 and $17.50. It's been a very good couple of weeks.:D

Damn, I've been OK on the games (except Prince of Persia for GC - anyone??) but the hardware has been a bust, except for 1 used PS2 memory card. They had one of the PS2 Logitech wireless controllers at the store for AGES, and I almost bought it at full price ($39.99 at the time I think?). But it was definitely not there at the very start of this sale (before they even knew what was on sale, so no one grabbed it before me :D). And of course they've never had Wavebirds :whistle2:(.

Looks like there will be a lull in my GR visits for a while. I've put a limit on my Red Ninja trades (ie, no more) and will not even visit any CC's for a while so I'm not tempted :D. And except for picking up Metroid, Tetris, (and Legendia  ) there aren't any preorders coming in until a few weeks into April (Odama for one). It will be nice to take a break - I gots work to catch up on.

First, the bad news. Still no Tetris, still no Metroid Prime Hunters, and now I can add a new game to the list - Dragonball Z: Shin Budokai for PSP.

I figured I'd want to pick it up for $15 in real money, but none of the 4 GR's I hit today had it. However, 1 is on order at every store... I really need to check a store's stock before I trade-in too much, because now I've got $40 or so in credit left over and absoulutely nothing to spend it on. I guess I'll wait...

Employee commented on how alot of games aren't coming in at all, and they are starting to lose customers over it.

Ok... traded five Red Ninja's today across three different Gamerush's. I guess its true that stores can only see what you've traded in at that location and that's all, because none of them gave me a hard time. Made about $135 in trade in credit in one day, not bad at all. Picked up Daxter, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, and Timesplitters: Future Perfect (for PS2, figured it's worth $10 in credit).

Since I have no reason to go to GR for awhile, can any of you that go keep an eye out for DBZ Shin Budokai along with Tetris?
Open.
Same, I don't need anyone thinking I stole them.

Oh, and the reason why in my part of Florida they have to fill out all that shit, is because they have to abide by pawn shop rules, apparently, and they take down all this information in case the items are stolen and someone tries to reclaim them, they would know where to find me and arrest me I guess.

Gamestop / EB just make you fill out your info when you trade in, but there is no thumb print or weight / eye color or place of employement (yes, all things my GR asks).

Well, like I said, the GR employee I talked to the other day said he bought Legendia at Gamestop (and later traded it back in there ), which isn't a good thing for GR. They are even losing their own employees as customers.

You'll hear about it on this thread as soon as Tetris (and Metroid, as I assume they will come in together) come in - but I'll keep a look out for the PSP game when I'm in there.

Thanks.. I swore I saw it there before, but I guess it was just my imagination, since the employees at multiple stores told me they never even received it yet. I just figured DBZ was big enough that they'd get it in.

If they don't, I guess I'll have to settle for something like Pursuit Force.

omg, no joke, when I read that last sentence I thought you meant it was on 50% sale, and im not even kidding this was while I was opening a DBZ:SB I bought from EB just 10 minutes ago. you almost gave me a heart attack lol.....

but on another thing, I tried to trade in my xbox, and they said they don't accept systems for trade ins. I was like wtf? this kinda pissed me off cuz I anticipated on picking up DBZ and Megaman MAverick Hunter X. I ended up just going to EB and picking it up there.

That's weird... you wouldn't have been able to get DBZ anyways though :p

I also saw a guy buy King Kong today at $21.99... does he not read the newspapers? The movie is $13.99 - $14.99 EVERYWHERE ELSE!!!

i know it's kinda stupid to keep posting Red Ninja's tradein value...but here you go

still 27 dollars this afternoon, just traded in 2 more.

Did he pay cash (or credit card)? I buy the occasional movie from Blockbuster at $22 (last one was Goblet of Fire) because I figure I'm only paying $10 or so in real money for it, which beats whatever deal Fry's might have. Plus it is a 2 minute drive to BB vs 25 minutes and lines at Fry's.

Also, I don't mind giving back some credit, especially to the local BB where I've traded in TONS of games over the last year. I try to rent a few movies every month from there as well.

But if the guy was paying with real money then that is pretty stupid.

Over the course of my 14 months of so of GR/BB trading, I have paid exactly $10 in real money to them :D. And that was early on when I didn't have credit built up (in fact I think it was to top off my trade-ins at $30 to pay for Baten Kaitos with the trade 2 get any new for $30 deal - and I still haven't played the damn game!). Of course I have given them tons of valuable mint condition games :D . No, really, I have.

He paid with actual cash, and then bought two of those giant boxes of candy (another ripoff). This guy must live in a void where he dosen't shop at wal-mart, target, k-mart, best buy, circuit city, ANYWHERE. I was so tempted to be like "STOP YOURE GETTING SO RIPPED OFF!!!" but just bit my tongue and felt sorry for him.

Damn it I want to play Shin Budokai. Everytime I trade in to Gamerush they never have what I want... just like the time it took them 3 weeks to get in X-Men Legends 2 for PSP.

there are a lot of 'average joe' shoppers....really...just walk into FYE or Tower Records etc.... i always see people buying a ton of DVD/CD there at full MSRP with cash -_-

actually my dad is one of them, i always yell at him for paying full retail for ANY ELECTRONICS but i guess convenience is more important to him (he hates to look around for deals...he wants something and he would want it now)

Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised - at Best Buy the other day people were tripping over each other to get copies of KH II at $50 (and some bought the guide for $20 too - at least they seemed to be passing up the $30 deluxe guide ). Of course I was there looking for $1.99 - $4.99 games and penny guides.

It's all so wierd for us here at CAG to see these types of things.

KH 2 is worth $50 though and nobody else has it on sale (at the moment).

King Kong isn't worth $2 more then what everyone else will charge once it goes off sale.

Right, there's a Fry's about 10 miles from this Best Buy and they have it for $39.99. I just started playing the 1st one with my kids last night after all the hype, and because I'd like to play the second while it is still "worth $50" (and not a GH title). Does it (the first one) get better? :D.

CompUSA's sale was regional (my CompUSA didn't have it on sale at all, not in the ad, or in the store) and Fry's is limited to like 5 out of 50 states.

I know about the CC sale, which is why I got it from Best Buy this week to PM Sunday morning.

Traded in Red Ninja today and the game still trades in at $27.00. :applause:

Went to go look at the used games section and Firefighter F.D.18 caught my eye. Took it to the register and told the CSR that I was going to pay with my Value Card. CSR then asked me how much I have on it and I said, "Three eighteen." Was about to swipe my card then saw "$3.18 YES NO" and I was like, "No, three eighteen and sixty six cents." CSR then laughed in my face.

May Blockbuster/Gamerush live on til PS3 launch!!! :applause:

Haha... similar thing happened to me... Had them put a trade-in amount on my card once, and somehow it wiped out my previous balance (which was all of $2 or something like that). I told them it had $2.50 on it, and he got all concerned, and was going to look up my trade-in history (NOOOOOO) because he thought I meant $250 had disappeared. So I nixed that pretty quick.

Hey peeps:

Do we know if Gamerush is going to get in Beatmania? I'd just go ahead and throw my last $40 in credit towards that since I really don't feel like waiting for them to get in DBZ: Shin Budokai.

But I don't even think Gamerush got in Guitar Hero...

Do the 50% games ring up automatically when the cashier hits Total or is it like that stupid 50% off sale from last year where the cashier had to scan the special bar code afterwards and if they were clueless or didn't think a game was part of the sale, they refused to do it? Just curious as I saw some games on the shelf that are on the list, but were not on the store's 50% off shelf.

Is there a trade forum for this sale? Tried to find one, but couldn't. Want "The Guy Game" (PS2 or Xbox), "Full Metal Alchemist 2" (PS2), or "Star Trek: Shattered Universe" (PS2).

I have or can easily get: "Leisure Suit Larry" (Xbox), "Playboy: The Mansion" (Xbox), "Metal Slug 4 / 5" (PS2), "Mega Man Collection" (Xbox), or anything on my Trade List.

...and no, I'm not a lonely deprived perv for wanting "The Guy Game". Amazingly my girlfriend likes all those games that some reviewers deem sexist like Rumble Roses and Playboy: The Mansion. You should see what she does on "The Sims 2"! *lol*

The trade thread is basacially this thread.

They actually have to go through the entire process of ringing it up and THEN hitting total before the amount comes up. A price check will yield the original value, not the 50% off price.

CompUSA in Clearwater has Star Trek: Shattered Universe for $14.98... I think it was the PS2 version?

:hot: Damnit, they finally updated the trade-in price of Red Ninja. I just tried to trade them at two places and they quoted me a trade in price of $5.50! (XBox version of course). The employee even gave me a little smart ass grin and asked me if I picked up the game at CC. I've got a stack of 'em that I never got to trade! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've also got confirmation from a friend in Albany, NY that his GR/BB were only giving out $5.50 for Red Ninja. Sad to see another oppertunity go down the drain. By the way, is anyone interested in 10 unopened copies of XBox Red Ninja? I'm selling them for $7 a piece + $1.95 for shipping.

Games Bought Using Red Ninja:

Asphalt Urban GT $10
Ping Pals
Rayman $10
Indiana Jones $8.50
Leisure Suit Larry $10
Fight Night 2004 $7.50
Outlaw Golf: 9 Holes Of Xmas $1
Outrun 2

Lord of the Rings: Return of the king $8.50
Smartbomb $15
!

Um... can't you just return them to whatever retailer you bought them from?

Kind of weird that on the east coast, I still got $27 for Red Ninja as of 5 pm today at three different locations, and I traded in 5 copies total.

I can't return the copies of Red Ninja, because I "artificially age" them to make it look as if they had been lying around in some guy's room for ages waiting to be traded. They're all opened and the cases are kinda fucked up. I'm so pissed off because I didn't even save enough to buy a 360 (kinda my goal). I guess I'm gonna have to settle for the DS Lite. The employee (SoCal) told me that the trade in prices should spread around to other stores as early as tomorrow morning (the manager of the store found out about Red Ninja on a recent excursion to CC). They also threatened to ban my trade account, but all of my credit is on value cards so I told'em go ahead. If I can't trade Red Ninja I might not trade at all.

So I'm confused... you just said you had unopened copies of Red Ninja for sale, yet now they are all opened with messed up cases?

Sorry, but artifically aging your games seems pretty retarded too, imo. I make it a habit to NEVER open / tamper with my game until the hour I'm going to trade them, in case this ever happens to me. Even then all I do is bend the manual once to make it look like its been read, pop the cd out of the case so it looks like its been removed, and that's it.

Ho ho ho. I was expecting a post like this...you know, today and all. ;)

Well, I've got 10 that are still unopened, but I've got another 25 that are in the condition I described above (I ordered a bunch online). I was planning on saving enough credit so that I could buy one of their employees and use him/her as a slave. Either that or I would completely ransack their candy/drinks section.
