Some stores throw away the cases, but the better stores actually keep them unless they are games that probably will end up being in yellow sleeves in a cardboard box on the counter.

A store I visited today throws away all the handheld game cases unless they are returns that are marked by the case and not on the game itself. I wanted a copy of Etrian Odyssey and they took everything from the New and Used. The New was gutted and someone took the CD home and the pre-owned had its case trashed.

My local store still has many DS and 3DS cases for pre-owned and the employees don't steal the bonuses from the DS/3DS games, but the ones in the display case don't have original cases anymore.

Just drives me crazy when people don't take care of their stuff. Or just flat out throw it away.

As an aside, did you ever get a Vita? I recall seeing you post once or twice about wanting one. I'm trying to sell mine with all its fixings on Craigslist but it's turned out to be quite the sisyphean task.

I did get one, but I hardly played it. The TIV was dropping soon, so I traded it to GS and I took a $20 loss on it. This was around the time that the price drop was announced and GameStop still had the same value from a few weeks before that.

I figure that I'll pick up one during Black Friday if there's a nice bundle like the ones from last year. I would have kept it at a third of the price I paid for mine, but we can't all be so fortunate. That and rabid flippers got most of them.

Man, things in Northern California are dire for the Vita. CL is full of like new Vitas bundled with 16 GB cards, games, and carrying cases for $160-$175 and the damn things don't sell.

 
Dumped a lot of games for decent credit last fall but have been itching to play again. Looks like it's time to re-buy most of them now that they're on sale...

 
Looks like there's some here actually worth getting. A lot from the old lists but some above 9.99. (Actually thinking about Bioshock 2 and Crysis 2.) Killzone 3 is good too but I already own it. Also did notice they dropped Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition from the list. Other than that, not bad.
 
Never really got to play LA Noire. With GTAV lately I wanna give it a chance for the story.

I'll pick up Dante's inferno too. I finished it on 360 and it was fun for a bit, might as well go for the platinum.
 
From my Gamestop experience it's extremly rare for DS games to have their full contents (manual and case) and 3DS games might be going there as well. I don't mind it as much esp for some older games but eh....what can you do. I still do give the games a good cleaning though to keep them ok....

 
Grabbing WET and Wolfenstein in a couple of hours.  Been fun following this thread with y'all.  Also, how weird is it to buy two games that start with W!?

Loved the setting and the atmosphere. Story was rad (of course, I'll qualify that with "for a game").

But the game play... man. What a letdown. I was so excited when it was released. I thought there would finally be a GTA-style game that I actually like. But alas.

i loved la noire but if you want to enjoy it the most i suggest not playing for 3-4 hour game sessions as the gameplay can kinda bore you at times. play a hour or two here and there so the game can feel fresh :)

Got GOW Collection, Infamous, Dante's Inferno, and RAGE all for PS3.

Already own some of these digitally but I could always go for freeing up some HD space and having a physical copy to add to the collection especially for $4.50 [price after PUR].

i walked out with gow 3 and nintendogs (for my mom). i saw some solid credit movers to bestbuy in gow 3 and la noire (360 version) for those who were wondering. they are both 6$ at bestbuy

So I got a pretty nice haul for my backlog; 360:Halo3 ODST, Test Drive Unlimited, Deus Ex HR(with bonus disc), PS3:Uncharted DF, Crysis 2 LE, Dante's Inferno DE(with code), GoW3, and LA Noire(with Badge Pursit Challenge film and codes for Slip of the Tongue and The Naked City).
 
Well, that was one of the more pleasant GS experiences I've had. Walked in, headed straight to the display case, saw they had Golden Sun: DD and Ghost Recon: SW, asked the guy to unlock them for me and headed out the door in less than 5 minutes. Two games on my wishlist for less than $11.

Salesperson seemed surprised when he scanned them and saw the price.

Was shocked to see a used Pokemon Platinum (cartridge only) was going for $40. Yikes.

 
got me the 4 games i went there looking for: the saboteur, dantes inferno, vanquish and deus ex. and all of them in excellent condition cases and manuals too. i was suprised!
