General Old School Gaming Thread - What you playin'
I've been playing Dragon Quest 3 for the SNES. Very nice remake of one of the best in the series. You definitely have to like old school JRPGS mechanics to enjoy these games though. I think I'm going to finish this up and move on to Earthbound. I made it to the end before but for someone reason never finished it. That was about 10 years ago; time to give it another go.
The original Legend of Zelda is simply one of the best games ever. I am playing through the second quest for the first time in YEARS (like decades probably) and it is pretty tough. I don't remember where anything is for the most part so it is really fun exploring the overworld (except the locations of levels 7, 8 and 9 which are forever burned in my head - no strategy guides in 1986 so you did it the old fashioned way). Not many games these days have 2 completely separate versions of the same game to play through (for obvious reasons).

EDIT: Grrr... I forgot to get the flute in the second dungeon. No wonder I couldn't find Level 3.
