I'm at the end of my school stuff and as I thought, I'm feeling like stopping it all and doing something else. Got told today that I'm going to have to pay around $500 in testing fees in the next couple of months for the various tests that I have to take to actually get my license. I'm less than 6 months from graduating and I kind of mostly want to throw it all away and do something more fun. I'm finding that the more I learn about the local standards I have to learn and adhere to that the more I don't want to even bother with this whole thing and just go do something else with my degree.

Then I realize that the loopholes for alternate history teaching in Kansas allows me to teach about Wolfenstein and Assassin's Creed and I realize that maybe it is kind of worth it...

 
That's what Indignate said to me about Dead Man's Switch but let's be honest, I'm probably never gonna finish it. Looking forward to Shadowrun Hong Kong, though.

Starcraft 2 was released nearly five years ago.

Today, Blizzard has finally announced that they will patch the in-game clock so that it actually runs at the speed as a clock in the real world.

 
Yeah, it's over the minimap. It's set to run at the appropriate speed if you play the game on the "normal" speed, but the problem is... nobody does. Like, nobody. I think the campaign might run on that speed? On some difficulties, at least? But like with Brood War, all multiplayer games run at a higher speed, so the in-game clock runs at, like, 1.25x speed.

 
I started to play Starcraft 2, got about halfway thru the first campaign, and was all ehhhh, I'll just wait till the full 3 "episodes" are complete. Just didn't vibe with me. When's the last part gonna be done? Shit's taken 5 years? fuck you, Blizzard. The last game they made that I really liked was Diablo II anyway.

If they stick to the schedule they've been releasing these things at, the Protoss arc should come out in early 2016 at the latest. I'll be really surprised if that ends up not being the case.

Not sure if it's a good idea to wait on that to play through it all. You'd be StarCraft'd out if you marathon through them. Those campaigns aren't exactly short...

Probably 2016 at the earliest. Then give it another 10 years for their next game with a singleplayer option, lol.
