I disagree. This is so stupid for people not in PST. At least that way you'd have every person playing at midnight. Fair for everyone. Instead, we have people in EST waiting on PST to hurry up and get to midnight.

Yet those same people in EST will have less time before work/school/gf/wife/wench/life to play. ;)
 
Just a reminder, today is the last day to get Deus Ex at the current price. Once the game releases the price will go up, so pick it up ASAP if you want it.

Glad you saw my point. :D It'd be fair for everyone if the East Coast got it at midnight first then the Midwest and so on. Anyway, can't wait to play tonight. Been too long since I've played a brand new game.

I also updated the FAQs with some answers I received from GMG on price-matching, canceling pre-orders, region locking and support options.

USUALLY the deals switch between 6-8am PDT. In this case I would assume (to be safe) the price will go up at midnight their time which is like 5 PDT I think. It may switch at the normal time tomorrow but better safe than sorry and all that.

Well not only that, if they don't allow people to download the game until midnight PST then it's annoying because it's two lost hours of downloading time. Not everyone can be up at 2 AM EST to start the download of Deus Ex and not everyone has a good enough connection where two hours doesn't mean much.
 
Are prices supposed to display in British pounds? I bought AE, turned out to be 50$CAD after conversion rate even with coupon + 20%

They always show up as USD for me so not sure what to tell you. You could try contacting their support team, all the available options are in the post after the OP.

GMG always seems to charge to my credit card as in need of currency conversion, which leads to a currency conversion fee at the end of the month.

So yeah. It displays on the site in US dollars for me, but I wind up paying a conversion fee later. So it tacks on another $1-2.
 
To those who have managed to get it pre-loaded, any idea how much hard disk space it takes up?

My computer's almost at max capacity but I've deleted as much stuff as I can, and I don't wanna be unprepared for HR once it releases!

It was about 8.5GBs for me.

I'd guess another four or five hours; but they could possibly cancel it at any point, so better safe than sorry.

Considering the UK's release is on the 26th, though, you might actually have a couple days left. But that's iffy.
 
Deus Ex deal is officially over. They are in the process of fixing the AE so probably mere minutes left if you want it!

and the Augmented Edition bonuses are about another 2GB

also they are oddly located under tools so you have to download them separately
 
Damn... a bit sad I missed the Deus Ex deal. I was never gonna pick this game up at launch as I practically never get games at full price but all the great reviews in the past couple of days peaked my interest. Probably would have bought it for $34, maybe...
Well, I guess I'm waiting on a $30 or less deal then.
 
well they finally got back to me and oddly while they offered to refund me Dead Island they claimed they could only give me store credit for Tropico 4 :???:

edit: ohhh it's because I bought Red Orchestra 2 and Tropico 4 together, so if they refund Tropico 4 they would have to invalidate the RO2 key I already activated

hmm decisions decisions...

Anyone know how to get the AE stuff? Like where do I download it or view it. I already installed the game itself on steam, don't know how to access or see the AE stuff.

Any idea if Space Marine will be appearing on Green man gaming? Would be great if I could pre-order it for as cheap as I did Deus Ex.
 
Looks like Deus Ex AE is still on sale so added it back to the OP. Not sure how long that will be good for so if you want it, don't hesitate.

I haven't heard anything yet, I will ask about it. With ti being so close to release though I wouldn't count on it.

Great news indeed, I'll hold off pre-ordering it from steam and see if it pops up on GMG. Would love to get it for the price of Deus ex.
 
Take a look at this, I pre-purchased XXXXXX from GMG and wanted a refund on it since it won't register on Steam anymore, so I submit a support ticket, here's what I get in response:

"Hi there,

ooooo...good price for what will surely be the best version of the game. GFWL has never given me any problems and those Green Man dudes sent the Deus Ex cd key early so I think I may go for this deal.

No. However, they almost always have a voucher code available from a variety of sources.
 
Is there any problem with Tropico 4 or Dead Island? Are people just looking for refunds because they don't want the game anymore?
