Some Sam's haven't dropped the price down to $50, though it might be a fall-back plan.

My one local store already had the bins up in the middle of the aisle today, setting up to start the sale TOMORROW. I wonder what the chances are that the 1-2 games I WANT from this sale will be gone by the time I decide to go and try to grab them tomorrow afternoon?

And, has anyone checked the pulse/forehead of GS's CEO yet, to make sure they aren't feverish, since an actual GOOD sale from them is like finding the Holy Grail. You've usually got a better chance of being bitten by a snake and dying slowly than getting a deal at ARS(Assrapestop).
 
I would suggest eveyone who want to get in on the deals online to do so immediately before FW/SD gets wind of it. AFAIK the news that the online sale has already started has not caught on yet.
 
Just ordered Castlevania Doublepack online for $16 after tax :)

I'll try my luck in-store tomorrow for Phoenix Wright and Champions Return to Arms, as I don't want to wait on shipping for those.
 
I picked up Real World Golf for the PS2. I'm a sports gaming geek. Also it'll be interesting to how it works on the PS3.

I couldn't bring myself to buy any UMD's though. As much as I would love to get some of those movies, I already have them on DVD and can just rip them to the Memory Card.

I usually shop at a locally owned game store called game haven. they are trying to compete with gamestop, and have lower prices on everything, plus we can just go in there, hang out, and play games with the owners, and there cool with that, its a hell a lot better than EB and Gamestop in the town next to us.

0 of this garbage is resellable for any sort of percentage to make it worthwhile, so I really doubt FW / SD are going to be buying up store inventories.

Are you kidding me? It's not that exciting. It can be a decent sale, if you happen to want any of the very limited selection. Just about everything there has been that cheap or cheaper somewhere at some time the past so if you're a regular buyer you probably have everything you'd want from here. Me, I'm on the fence about maybe buying one game from this sale. One. And it's only Quake 4, not some super-rare blockbuster.
 
I was told that my local stores wouldn't honor the price on DBZ Shin Budokai for PSP(listed @ $14.99 in the ad). Just a heads up for anyone trying to get it for that price, in case your local GS does the same.
