Here's 45 minutes of gameplay with commentary.

Summary of his thoughts: The first chapter lasts about five hours total and it does branch out and become less linear after an hour or two. The graphics are solid, but the game has some definite framerate issues when it gets to the more open areas, possibly because Unity wasn't a great engine to use. You need to play The Longest Journey and Dreamfall first, but like those games, the story is the main draw and it's just as good. If you like that story, getting Dreamfall Chapters is a no-brainer. If you haven't played the other games, you should do that first.

As for the $1 tier, Spiderweb games are horrible, then there's the F2P crap, and finally some awful anime crap. BTA is okay but Consortium looks fairly trashy/unfinished. Derp Dungeons of Doom is an ipad game so I question its content. Forest of Doom will probably show up in some other bundle.

I almost agree with Mooby here, mostly because I already have Consortium from some other bundle. I only want the gamebook thing, but $4 is pretty steep for that, so it's either trolling the trade thread or waiting for a better bundle. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed Avadon 1 (but I already have Avadon 2 too).
