Humble Indie Bundle 7 - Offspring Fling, Cave Story+, Basement Collection added!

scoi007

CAGiversary!
HIB bundles are pay-what-you-want and all games are DRM free as direct downloads for PC, Mac, and Linux. Steam keys are included with purchases of $1+. HIB is now giving a Steam key for each individual game, but keys are still meant for personal use only.

Soundtracks are included for all except Binding of Isaac.

Remember, you can always add money later if you're not sure that you want to beat the average now. The average when you first pay is the one you have to beat, even if the price is higher when you decide to. Future bonuses should be given to all who purchased the bundle up to that point, regardless of price paid, but people who buy in after any future additions may have to beat the average to get them.

Games:
Snapshot
Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC
Closure
Shank 2 [Mac version currently in Beta]

Movie:
Indie Game: The Movie [stream + download]

Beat the Average:
Dungeon Defenders + DLC
Legend of Grimrock
*The Basement Collection
*Offspring Fling
*Cave Story+

* Added to bundle. All bundle purchases before their addition, regardless of price paid, will receive these.

Want legend of Grimrock but that's about it. Maybe I'll donate a dollar and do charity anyways and get lucky? Last time I donated $1 I ended up getting all the games they added, only loss was Saints Row 3.
You know, after further review, there isn't a single game in this bundle that I didn't already own and would have bought if indie bundles didn't exist. I'm hoping that bonus game(s) that they reveal next week have some nice surprises. But at the moment, this bundle kinda feels like a bit of a dud.

Don't own Snapshot. Wouldn't buy.
Own Binding of Issac. Wouldn't buy now that I know what it's like.
Don't own Closure. Wouldn't buy.
Don't own Indie Movie. lol No.
Don't own Shank 2. Wouldn't buy.
Same boat except I'd play Shank 2. Basically just put in and hoping they add other interesting things. Gave away the other keys.
Don't own Snapshot. Wouldn't buy. Same here.
Own Binding of Issac. Wouldn't buy now that I know what it's like. I own it, and would buy it w/ DLC for a dollar or two.
Don't own Closure. Wouldn't buy. I'd buy it for a dollar or so.
Don't own Indie Movie. lol No. I'd pay a dollar or two for it.
Don't own Shank 2. Wouldn't buy. Would buy.
I'd have happily bought it for the minimum just for one of Closure/Indie Game/Shank 2 (and the same would apply for BoI+DLC if I didn't already own them.)

Oops, didn't see that dig at Isaac. Surprises me how many people don't like it. They probably wouldn't have liked original 8 bit NES Zelda, either.

Now I really regret buying the Indie Game Movie. First added to Netflix Instant, and now this. And buying Closure on sale for PS3 was stupid.

Sweet, I'm in! Dungeon Defenders is fun, that alone is worth BTA imo, let alone all the DLC and other games. That should be the cheapest way to get the DLC.

No, I just like games that last for more than 10 minutes.

Trying to decide if the DLC for Dungeon Defenders is worth BTA... I own Legend of Grimrock already and have DD vanilla. What say you, oh handsome folk of CAG?
No, I just like games that last for more than 10 minutes.
That's the nature of most roguelikes. Short, sweet, random experiences.

Most playthroughs probably take around 40-45 minutes (assuming you don't die). And there's quite a bit of replay value... unlike most console games. But I digress.

This, too. That is the nature of roguelikes -- they are meant to be relatively quick challenges that you overcome with various builds/powers.

Unlike the THQ Bundle which I had already had all the games I'd want, I don't have a single one of these games, so I'm in for $6.50.
No, I just like games that last for more than 10 minutes.
I can't recall having a playthrough that lasted less than 10 minutes. The majority were in the 20-30 minute region.

This looks like a kickass bundle. Already own Isasc (wasn't it in a previous HIB too?) and Grimrock (worth $10 alone) and I still gave $10. Then I was interested in Snapshot and enjoyed the first Shank. Gave $10 easily. I wish Indie Royale could compete with these Humble Bundles.

Anybody think Faster Than Light will show up later? A bit surprised it's not in it. I just bought it for $6 last sale. Totally worth like $20 though.

Just giving you a reason as to why one would not like it, but would still like Zelda. And I didn't find it to have much replay value.

The worst part of these bundles is owning one or two of the games.

Depends if you plan to play up to the End Game, if you are satisfied with the base game which should be most people, the DLC just feels like extra heroes and maps/hardest difficulty level for the hardcore players.

I kinda regret buying some of DLC because I rarely play the game now.

True enough. Though I just put in a buck and gave everything but Shank 2 away.

Re: Dungeon Defenders -- I played at release, enjoyed it. But the developers let it spiral out of control into a massive grind fest. Unless people have a few friends to play with I wouldn't bother. The community is essentially a bunch of 'mana traders' -- it's almost like a bad F2P MMO. But hell, if you want everything else $6 for all that stuff is a good deal.

pretty good bundle, already have dd vanilla but the dlc alone is worth the bta, didnt have grimrock, shank 2 and snapshot, and gave my backup the isaac
Sorry all outta Grimrock. All I've got are these lousy Skyrim keys.
Trade you a Metro 2033 and a Dota 2 for one

Throw in Magicka and Hydrophobia and you've got a deal.

I'll even sweeten the deal with The Ship! teehee

This is worth it alone for Indie Game: The Movie. It's an incredible documentary. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, but by the end I was crying and cheering for them, hoping for their wildest dreams to come true. Great, great film. It's also on Netflix if any of you haven't seen it yet.

I've been hesitating on adding Indie Game: The Movie to my steam library. It just feels wrong, adding a movie to my steam games library.

So add it to a category that says "Movies", Valve is selling software now too (highly expensive spreadsheet programs, but whatever) Might as well get used to Steam being more than games now.......when can we greenlight porn on this thing?

Noticed that I italicized the bit about porn.........cause I'm classy.

Don't add it then. Just download and watch the DRM-Free version. If I watch it at all, that's how I plan how to do it. If by some miracle I fall madly in love with the movie, I'll add it to my library. Otherwise I'll just throw it away after I've watched it.

But it adds to your "game" count! :hot:

There are a number of barely-games already on Steam (Dear Esther comes to mind) so it's not that strange.

It'll definitely be $3.75 again -- if that's all you wanted, you made a wise decision on passing. 'course I still think it's worth $1 as a gamble. You never know what else they might sneak in there.

That's what I'd do anyway! =) I'm probably one of the few CAGs that downloads and plays the DRM-free versions (on my laptops).

Someone posted that a mac version got added recently for Q.U.B.E. on Steam, and that may be a future bonus addition to the bundle. I hope it is. There's also the possibility of Cave Story+ being included, a "retail" entry for it just got added to the registry.

I do that too, much easier than trying to get Steam to go offline when it wants to update.

Weird. Cave Story + was BTA on HiB 4, last December.
Weird. Cave Story + was BTA on HiB 4, last December.
But it was one key that also had Gratuitous Space Battles.

Yesh. It seems like many of the BTA games eventually get repeated as bonus games in future bundles. Unless you want the game(s) ASAP, I'm not sure it's even worth beating the average.
Only need Grimrock but I know it will probably be cheap during the Winter Sale. Darn!
PM sent

I need a gift key to send my Wife, but I don't have enough on my prepaid AMEX. Anyone interested in trading a gift key for one of the games in my signature?

So I just redeemed BOI + DLC on Steam, but I already had the core BOI. Does Steam do anything wonky if it sees two BOI games redeemed on the same account?

Yeah, pretty much same here. Hopefully the winter sale is better than the summer sale was. Passed on a lot more then than I usually would have.

No. It'll just activate the stuff you didn't already have.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure before I did the same with Dungeon Defenders.
Dont need these

They are Closure, Snapshot and the movie.
Used Y3BVL-X236Q-NL7FL (closure)

Thanks.

I didn't have any of these games, so I went in and grabbed the bundle. Oh, I did actually buy Indie Game the Movie awhile back (really loved it as well as the soundtrack). Good stuff! :)

Got the Humble Bundle regardless of content or merit. Humble Bundle is still the best and those other poser bundles cannot compete. Indie Gala is the old busted. Humble Bundle is the new hotness.
