yea got this last night along with the tetris switch demo.. played it about hour.... wonder if the refills ever go higher then 2 apples... sucks you need apples to buy items as well like swords and stuff

i doubt i put much cash into the game

It seems like something I may drop in during the week, grab the apples, and pop out. Store them for when I feel like playing, which may be once a day when I do Badge Arcade.

Anyone else playing this Team Kirby Clash Deluxe thing?

Local multiplayer is fun, taking turns between the 3 of us helps spread the vigor.

Buying vigor and gem upgrade books is the worst way to spend apples. You get tons of gems from any matches, streetpasses, and 25+ per day if you own 5 amiibo. Vigor can be fully replenished with 2 apples if you can't wait.

Apples are best saved for crucial weapon/armor upgrades and most importantly unlocking new bosses to fight. World 5 needs approx 100 apples to unlock all of the new tough bosses that instantly appear once you get there.

I'm a physical>digital guy so I just went with a 64GB card. That being said, I've probably bought more indie digital games on this thing alone than I have on any other system combined, but I still have a ton of room. So if you're going digital, make the investment, if not, go for 64GB.

Yeah that's what sounds logical but it is also only $22 in difference. I'm physical and don't get many indie games but since the Switch is portable I will probably buy more VC games than normal. I'm sure 64 will be enough in that case. Hopefully DLC for future games won't be crazy in size.

They don't AFAIK per say. But they do have update files and all that should be stored on the SD card. I just looked and as of right now Zelda only has 150Mb on the storage, SnipperClips 900Mb. So maybe you'll be fine after all. For some reason I thought I saw Zelda downloading a 4Gb patch but maybe I was mistaken. So I'm at something like 24-27Gb System and 117Gb SD

Physical games are read entirely from the cart, except for patches which are downloaded to an SD card if there is one inserted, or system storage as a last resort. Pretty much once you insert an SD card everything except saves will automatically go there. Most of MK's size on the Wii U was from the DLC, as this is included in the Switch version the file size taken up by a physical copy of MK8 shouldn't be anything huge.

Not that you need any validation, but I was in the same spot and made the same decision. If/when the need to upgrade ever comes up, it will be far enough into the future the price on big cards will have come down quite a bit.

I just don't trust space issues anymore, even going physical, because updates have become ludicrous. I bought Doom on PS4 physical and it had a 15G install and a 30G update right out of the box. I had to set that to download overnight and the game now takes up 10% of my harddrive by itself. I know it's a little different on the Switch, but never assume it's too different.

I played this morning. Unfortunately, at the higher vigor quests, you can only do a few of them before all vigor is gone.

One interesting component is that when you summon wandering heroes, if you don't use them up, they seem to still be there the next day. No idea if there is a cap on the number of heroes you can have summoned at one time, yet. I had at least 5 earlier today.

I got it digital today. Played a few matches against my buddy, and then a few matches online. Got disconnect in 3 of a total of 7 matches. There's one mode where it switches between Puyo Puyo and Tetris every 20 seconds which is very cool. I honestly just bought it for Tetris, not realizing that Puyo Puyo is really just Dr Mario

Cartridges have to be individually built for each game, and come in a variety of sizes, which have different costs. Xbox One and PS4 discs are just blu-ray discs with the game loaded onto them, they don't have to build a different type of blu-ray disc for their game if it's a different size than another game.

I'm totally passing on Puyo Puyo Tetris. After playing through the demo last week I just opted to cancel my preorder.  It's a competent game, no doubt, but I realized while I was playing it that I just wasn't having fun.

As for the Switch version costing $10 more.  I think it's because SEGA priced it $10 more to encourage more people to go digital with it.  I don't think the license fee for publishing to cart over disc with Nintendo is really much different for third parties.  Also, unless Nintendo has changed... SEGA would be getting the carts from Nintendo but would have the cost of either contracting with a fulfillment company to have the final retail package put together or they would have to handle it in-house.  So, possibly part of this cost is getting passed down to the retail level since they are new to Switch publishing.

not sure why the games cost 20 more then 3ds games...i think they will have a very hard time finding people to spend 60 on switch games when the 3ds is still up for 40 or less

Couldn't recommend it enough. It's a great little action/puzzle game. It's short, to be sure - there's an achievement for beating it in an hour - but well done, enjoyable, and worth every penny.

I always said digital games should be cheaper than physical games. I that meant that they should lower the price of digital games, not raise the price of physical. Be careful what you wish for.
