[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

FINALLY found a store with PS2 Devil Kings that came up CSP. Got it for $1.50 after a few minutes at the checkout. Also found PSP Dungeon Seige. Rang up CSP, so he gave it to me for 90% off the last marked price, so that was $1.50 as well :)

Found a CD folder full of scratched up games a few months back for $5. Figured I would give it a try and maybe recover a few to Goozex.

I checked the local KMart today...Nights Wii rang up $15 w/ no pending price updates. Godfather Wii also rang up $15, but there was an update pending...so that one may go to $10.

I didn't check anything else that xbadhabitx13 listed. Where'd you get the list, anyhow?
 
Don't get too excited guys, looks like this is STILL YMMV (I guess as with any other clearance). Just checked Godfather and Golden Compass for 360, and they scanned $20 and $15, respectively. Bummed out that Godfather wasn't $10. Oh well. I wouldn't hurt to bring your own barcodes to scan.....

Not all bad news though, as I did find Excite Truck for $5!

Was it a manual or motorized one? It doesn't matter either way though, since BOTH types of Skip/Disc Doctors will leave a distinct pattern on the discs and then you'll be wishing you hadn't tried it on them.

Trust me, paying whatever Gamecrazy wants PER disc is more worth it than the DD/SD thing. A couple of my stores had these marked $15, but they came up $7 the last time I checked.

Yeah, those skip/disc doctors are great at ruining discs even further as well. If they actually make them playable, like you said, they leave those nasty ass marks all over the disc.

Agreed, that's about my price point for Halo. :lol: Kidding, I'd probably pay up to $15.

i agree that kmart clearance is still YMMV. most kmarts will have a lot of the games here clearanced at these prices. but just last week i traveled to a small town in illinois and thought i hit a goldmine - tons of 360 games that i thought i'd never see again (kameo, phantasy star, just cause to name a few) - all came up 29.99 when i scanned them. i was so disappointed.

I was the electronics lead before getting the job I currently have at Google, still work there on Sundays (this way I can keep my discount ha), so I always activate the PLCs, my buddy has that job now, I'll provide w/e updates I get since I'm liking this site.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Most of the games that I am wanting to use it on are pretty much lost causes anyway and none are that rare either. I just did it on one and did an okay enough job for me. Nowhere like the ones I get done at Game Crazy, but my test disc went from skipping on load up to working. Will definitely play for a while to test and will also disclose to any Goozex traders.
 
OK I stopped by the only K-Mart (Murfreesboro, TN) on my way home yesterday and not much going on there either. Again, I was hoping they had the Halo 3 LE but they didn't. Drats! And again, the Electronics person checked the back and... nothing. Was I surprised? No. :( I again checked all the prices with my handy barcode sheet at a nearby price scanner.

I went to K-Mart today and saw the new clearance drops paper sitting on a display case so i looked through it and i can confirm that all the drops mentioned are in effect, or will go into affect this week. My story is a sad one though, I saw on the paper that a Sony bravia 32" TV was onsale for $80 so I told the girl working in electronics that i wanted to buy it, she went and got a manger to help get the TV down and the manager said ok, i can help then looked at the price and said, oh that one is already sold!! WTF!!! I think that manager will be watching a new TV tonight!! The manager also told me that since i had been looking at the clearance paper i'm not allowed to buy any clearance items untill next time i go in!! how crappy is that?

I also noticed that some K-Marts arent clearancing Dancing with the Stars like they are supposed to, I wanted one for the Dance mat, but all the K-Marts I checked today have them marked at 49.99(the clearance sheet I saw said they are supposed to be marked down to $10 from $29.99)(this is the bundle set)

If anyone wants to check their K-Mart for the TV IT's a SONY Bravia 32" LCD. $80, there was also a $27 inch LCD marked at $90 but im not sure what brand that was.

The solution is to call corporate in the store. Even better if you do it right in front of them.
 
You got model #'s for the TV's? Hell, for that price even if it is 720p then it is better than a my POS tube TV. :)

Maybe they're LCD rear projection TVs (as opposed to LCD flat panels)? Even so, that's pretty low.

I've never heard of a LCD Rear Projection that small before. I'm pretty sure thats a straight up LCD.

$80 is hella low for any 32" wide-screen TV that connects to my Xbox 360 and makes it look better than my standard 25" POS tube-type. :lol:

And you didn't tell him to eat your asshole? I'd have gone up one side of that douche and down the other...AND called corporate in-store. It's unreal the kind of shit some of these retail managers try to pull.

You are correct. I just left work and went down there to check things out. The KDL-32L4000 is indeed listed as "This week's feature" and is listed as $699.99 and scans at that price too.

The only other Sony brands I saw were:

Sony KDL26M4000 (UPC: 027242737990) for $599.99
Sony KDL26ML130 (UPC: 027242719996) for $699.99

I didn't have barcodes for those and I didn't ask anyone to scan the price.... not that there was anyone around to help me anyways. :bomb:
 
Guys, I'm actually using the kmart internet cafe computer now. I too only saw one sony 32" and it is the one for 699. Additionally, there is NO tv here that is 27"....there are several 26" sylvania tv's but nothing in a 27" variety. Don't waste the trip unless a model number is provided because this isn't looking to be a valid clearance price.
 
The 32" was a Bravia, It is the older model of the one on the site, I'm not sure what the 27" was, I wasnt interested in it at the moment.

I didnt want to call corporate, but i will if she ever CAG blocks me again.
 
The TV's are old models, Most stores probably sold out of them, and if they were still instock im guessing the person doing the drops bought them.
 
Saw Virtua Tennis 3 for PS3, $39.99? It was $5.00 at other K-Marts but OOS. It wasn't a wasted trip though I got a Halo 3 CE for $5. There was only 1 left and it wasn't tagged. The cashier was shocked. I also got the last 2 3rd Party Gamecube controllers, $14.99 down to $1.50. I hope they work with Brawl

Sinnbox, what state are you in? I may try the old "my friend in (insert state here) bought an older clearance TV for $80. Do you guys still have any in stock."
 
If the clerks working at my closest Kmart didn't already tell me that they themselves buy the friggin' clearance tv's when they go on clearance, I'd actually try my local one tomorrow. But, knowing my luck the tv is either A) still full price in the system or B) just got 'sold' once the clerk notices the price.

I think another Kmart a bit further away had some older model LCD's marked as clearance a while back, I may try them tomorrow.

Wish me luck....since I'd like to get some sort of LCD tv and $80-90 is the magic price for me.
