[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Picked up 3 PS2/PS1 -> PS3 memory card converters and one PS2 hub! I left behind two converters and one more hub in case anyone else wanted one. :)

No way is this data 'anonymous'. They use it to specifically choose what coupons will print out on *your* receipt and what ads they send to *your* house. Now, they may keep this in confidence, but not all of them do. Some share the info with their "marketing partners".

A few weeks ago I saw 5 copies of Taito Legends 2 (XB) four of which had $1.00 clearance stickers, the other $4.99. This being K-Mart there was no one around so I just left.

I was back today and saw the remaining $4.99 copy along with Gunwitch (2 copies) marked at $19.99 and a clerk just so happened to be in the area and asked me if I needed help. I asked her if she could price check a couple of games and she was kind of "well the sticker says.." so I asked her to scan them because I heard they were clearanced further.

She grabbed her gun and 'proudly' scanned Gunwitch at $19.99. (So I'm not sure what's going on there...) I said I didn't want it and when she asked if there was anything else I reached for Taito and was scolded. "I'll get it for you sir, you are not allowed in the case, I can get in a lot of trouble."

It scanned at the stickered $4.99 and I just POINTED (and got bitched at AGAIN. I felt like I was on Arrested Development) towards the area commenting that I was checking because I had seen the copies marked at $1. She told me that she'd like to know who stickered them because they'd be in trouble.

I was kind of mad at first because of the weird attitude/store policy, but later laughed because it's no wonder nobody shops there.
 
OK....I returned at least one of the HD-DVD drives today, since they've been nothing but a pita to me. Soon as it made it back to electronics, the cashier scanned it and restickered it $5. I was tempted(but not VERY) to rebuy it.

I did, however, see 5 copies of Clubhouse Games for DS stashed in the back of the DS game case, all marked $29.99.

Went to my Kmart no clearance games at all all I was able to find was a PS3 memory card adapter for $1.50 marked at $3.50. Left three but sadly a disappointing trip.
 
Anyone have one of those $2 Xbox 360 wireless receivers that they'd be willing to part with for cost + shipping? I could use one. PM me please! Also, I'm pretty sure the Kmarts near me are pretty much permanently cleared out. Haven't found anything half decent there in quite a while.
 
Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 for 360 is out of the system, as is at least ONE of the other 360 titles(I'm gonna go out on a limb here n say Virtua Tennis 3).

YMMV on getting them at this point.

They easily sell for $60+ on Amazon, worth trying to sell IMO :)

They had tales of the abyss at $19.99 but it wasn't it the system so I couldn't tell if it had been clearanced any lower. Is it worth 20 bucks?

Not with the shit I'm going through now on my most current trade, plus my Kmart has no other ones for replacements should I sell one online someplace and have to have it returned as faulty. I sent a drive without fully testing it(have no way to test it fully without a top of the line PC or a 360), but it SOUNDED ok when I sent it. I got it back and it sounded like it was dropped about 100 fuckin' times, there were even pieces of plastic case breaking off.

I have no idea if it was the PO's fault(cause some of those postal workers literally just DROP shit and run as far as packages go) or what, but I sent out a second one and returned the junk drive and a third one which was still factory sealed to Kmart. I'm done with trying to trade/sell anything but games and guides anymore, since electronic devices are a pain in the ass.

Supposedly Vista has the drivers installed natively and you can run it right off a PC with it on there, so anyone with a really good PC can use it as a high def movie drive on their PC.

So, that's just a heads up to anyone who has a Vista PC with decent specs, but I AM DONE with those fuckin' things.

I got it when it was $12
I like it, but have yet to play much of it.
Its $26.99 used at gamestop, so for $20 I would get it.

Yeah Virtua Tennis 3 is out of the system, also NBA Street Homecourt, all the 2007 sports games, Monster Madness, Poker 2007, Surf's Up and a few others

They eventually get sent back I guess or until someone buys it at the sticker price. Usually the stores refuse to go lower than the sticker price on a game, if it isn't tagged I sometimes get them at a deal (a few weeks ago the cashier said she would give me any out of the system game for $3). It's so fusturating especially because you know it all depends on who you get ringing up the games. Same thing with Sears, sometimes they try to charge me sticker price another time I showed him how 1 in the system game was scanning for less than the sticker tag (and it was outdated) and asked if he could give me a deal on the others. He manually entered $4.97. It was Pokemon XD for Gamecube and Moto GP 4 for PS2.

Or they could be put back at full price like shiningslade said. 2 of my local KMart stores did that with Halloween candy. It was 90% off then a few weeks later I was going to get some more, since it had an expiration date of summer and fall 2008 back in November 2007 and it scanned for full price.
 
That is so weird. Not selling at $5, so CLEARLY they'll sell at $50 ;)

Oh well, at least Kmart/Sears seems to be more consistent than Target and Best Buy! I *NEVER* find deals at either of those stores!
 
My Kmart claims to send it back. And of course, it disappers from the shelves, so I have to assume so. Unless they keep it for themselves.....

Went to the three local Kmarts down here and got a few $1.50 games (Technic Beat and Beat Down:Fists of Vengeance) and one of the three had an XBox 360 HD/DVD player which I got for $5. The girl working at that one was amazed to see that it wasn't the $179 that the price tag said.

The one idiotic cashier who I asked about a 'price difference' on two copies of the one LOTR game for the original Xbox(The Third Age, I think)slapped a blue colored barcode sticker over the front lane game UPC sticker, which was ringing up some low price.

I still laugh at the fact that that copy is STILL sitting there with the blue sticker over the UPC on the back. I don't dare rip off the sticker to try and get it for cheaper, since 1) I haven't played my Xbox in like 3 months or so 2) that's be tampering with the game and 3) it just makes me chuckle whenever I see it since 'low price must mean it's WRONG' to some cashiers.

I'm just glad that fuckin' moron wasn't working when I used to be able to pull 6-10 games out of the case there and have them ring up $2-5 each, since I'd have NEVER amassed the amount of games I did with someone like them working.

The one female manager has the same belief too, that low prices must be WRONG.
 
My kmart currently has 2+ YEAR old christmas candy sitting on a metal cart in the middle of the store, hoping some kid will buy it in desperation for a sugar fix. I know its 2 or more years old because there is a tamagotchi plush with candy on it that I cleaned them out of for about 30 cents each about 2 years ago, of course all the candy has the yellow stickers on it and is marked at full retail price, even though its long out of the system, and they probably shouldn't even be selling it due to the fact that it could be a health hazard.

I work at one that will not sell out of system or 1 cent games to their employees. They send them back, it's very irritating.
 
Yeah, I wouldn't buy food at this kmart without carefully checking the exp. dates, who knows how old it is or how long its been sitting in the store (and if it didn't have an exp. date I wouldn't buy it), its really gross if you think about it, who knows how much old food they have sitting in the back just waiting to have a clearance sticker slapped on it and then put out on a shelf for some poor sap to buy. This stuff was obviously pulled from the back as I haven't seen any of that stuff in the store in years, I don't think it has exp. dates on it either. I don't care what they are doing with other out of system products that clutter up the store as they are likely not harmful to humans however selling old candy/food is just gross.

There are some other grocery stores in my area, ahem Tops, that do this as well, they clearance old food. Gotta watch your food when your shopping at Tops, esp. in the dairy section, as I have found many expired things there (on the contrary everything at Aldi is fresh and I have never had a problem with their food). The store is just too big and they must not have people to pull outdated products or an inventory system that alerts them when products on the shelves are expired. A couple years ago my grandma bought one of those packages of seasonings from Tops, well she thought something wasn't right with it so she called the manufacturer of the product from the number that was on the back of the package, they told her to give them the serial number from the packaging and she found out that the item was from about 15 years ago, needless to say they advised her to throw it away or take it back to the store and sent her some coupons for free packages of seasoning.

Definetly, I saw some energy drinks on clearance they expired 3 months ago, I saw some candy on the shelf with an expiration date of 2006. Even some of the Pepsi was expired, you could tell it was old because it didn't have the Pepsi points promotion packaging
 
It would be ok if they clearanced food that was like a couple weeks before the date and then pulled it if it didn't sell before the date, as every store does this and its usually referred to as a manager's special but selling even 3 month old expired food is not right.

Another thing about our kmart is the air conditioning is weak, real weak, and I wonder how well chocolate (and other food) holds up in that environment when its 90 degrees + outside and very humid. I dunno about you guys but if I am gonna splurge on a bit of candy I want it to be FRESH! I live in NY and we get some really hot and humid days here.
 
hey guys this weekend in am litterly in the middle of nowhere and there happened to be a kmart so i went in and checked saw a live bundle tagged at 79.99 asked the lady there to check the price for me and she looks at it and says "79.99"! so i asked her to scan it for me and she answers " well im not going to give it to you (like im trying to steal it or something) . i say to her no mam im asking you to check the price for me because im sure thats wrong .she glares at me and says fine i'll check it but the lady who runs this section is very good so im sure the price is right.the look on her face was priceless when she scanned it and it rang up for $8.00! also picked up some $5 games while there also.woohoo
 
anyone out there wouldnt be willing to part with a halo controller and a 64 meg memory card for 25 shipped would make my son birthday a very happy one. pm me, thanks

I used to LOVE having them bring out games that I knew were supposed to be REALLY cheap after they just read the price off the sticker. The look on their faces is just classic when they ring it up and it comes up SUPER CHEAP. Of course, a couple of times I've been told that I 'couldn't be sold it' because I had said 'someone I know got this exact thing from a Kmart in their area for cheap'. So anymore, I just don't even mention where I find out the possible price, I just let them be shocked and buy it usually.
 
Semi decent k-mart finds today. found excite truck in wilkes-barre, still marked $34.99 but it rang up $10. The rest i found in Hazleton.

More than one KMart in the area actually raises the prices of many of these games to $14.99 or $19.99. There are literally hundreds of XBox and GameCube games that fell out of the system long ago, and now scan for $19.99. So it looks like they actually went through the trouble of re-entering new prices for all of the game bar codes.
 
Decided to go to a dry Kmart today, nothing in the cases, walked around and noticed some clearance items in the corner. Found a 360 Media remote and a wireless reciever for $2 each. Ah, not bad.

There were several others as well, but nothing stood out at $20.00.

I also saw Nights and Ice Age 2 for those prices at my local Kmart, as well as Geometry Wars for the same price.
 
I went to K-Mart yesterday and saw that they had done another reprice, Tons of games that have recently dropped were raised to 19.99, They will never get rid of their Xbox/PS2 stock if they keep it up.
 
10,000 clearance PLCs were put into/ the system today, but that's storewide, so only a fraction will be for Electronics. Hopefully I'll get the full list again soon, by Thursday I'm hoping.

Awesome, I can't wait for those new items to drop to 90% off. KMart has become way better than Target for clearance (and both beat Walmart as they are horrible for clearance). I can't believe the bargains KMart has all over the store and the best part is there is usually no indication they are on clearance.

Were there any copies of Excite Truck in Hazleton (very nice steal my friend)? I am heading up to the Laurel Mall tomorrow for a PC Controller and a WoW card, looks like I will be stopping into K-Mart to see if I can find anything else. I am still shitting myself over my $5 EBA steal there.

Actually I have been to most of the k-marts in a 30 mile radius from hazleton (berwick, frackville, wilkes barre and walnutport), and the walnutport and hazleton ones are the nicest looking kmarts I ever been in. The others are all ghetto.

i didn't see any excite truck in hazleton. I also took advantage of the $5 eba, i picked up 4 copies, and i'm guessing you picked up the rest, as the next weekend they were all gone. Pretty much all hazleton has now for markdowns are some 5-6 dollar sports games, and the new games they marked down to $20 like nights, and geometry wars. I keep hazleton pretty well picked through, since i only live 7 miles away and hit it atleast twice a week.
