I want a WiiU as well.  Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. look incredible.  I'm glad the console's gimmick this time around is interesting and sensible.

 
I'm gonna go to my second No Limit Hold Em tournament on Thursday.  I read a 380-some page book on tournament play since the last time I was there, so I should definitely run deeper.  I just hope I place in the cash, at least, so I can get some bitch-ass paper for my efforts.

Man South Park this season has just been on fire. Tonight's episode with the Oculus Rift was probably my favorite. Best part was
Steve arguing with himself.

 
World of Warcraft launch last night...after 10 years, the excitement for a new expansion is still there. 

Think about the math behind that.  If you strictly subscribed on a per month basis, no discounts, no looking for deals, etc. you've paid $14.99 a month for 120 Months.  You have $1,798 invested into your character.  Fortunately, I've probably paid half of that thru various discounts, b1g1 free, etc. on time cards.  But still...DAYUM!  But the most frigetening number is the time factor.  I have 342 Days played on my Main Warrior.  Almost a year, sitting on my a$$ in front of my PC.  All I can say about that is Mrs. Number83 is AWESOME for letting me do that. 

Our 15 year anniversary is coming up, so I should probably do something special for her.

 
I can't believe that the mom from honey boo boo has a child molester fetish. Then again it might not be a fetish, but rather the only guys on the planet that would fuck her.

Well, I made it to the final table at the tournament and finished in 4th.  At the beginning of the final table, I was the third biggest stack, but unfortunately, a guy cracked my pocket KK with his pocket JJ by getting a J on the turn and pretty much crippled my stack. :cry: I could tell he felt guilty, but I understood.

I busted 5 or 6 people.

The buy-in was $35 and I got $110 finishing in fourth.  Not bad for my second try.

I'm gonna go back tomorrow and try again.  Apparently there are twice as many entrants on Fridays.  First place can sometimes win a grand.

Two days off in a row and somebody called in and wanted me to work for them. Ever since I've started this new job I've been tired and hungry every day. It's been too long since I've worked and I have to build up my stamina again.

Nice! Not to shabby for only your second time out. How soon until we see you on WSOP sitting across from Chris Ferguson and you make fun of the fact he looks like Jesus?

I think he's pretty much blacklisted from the WSOP, but that would be nice to get to that level one day. :O

You'll never see Chris Ferguson again live at a poker tournament after Black Friday (April 15) 2011. He & Howard Lederer basically ran a Ponzi scheme with Full Tilt Poker.
 
Congrats on the local poker success man. Wish I had the money to play at the various casino tournaments in the STL area (4 poker rooms within 30 minutes of my apartment.)

My first poker tournament was at Gen Con Indy in Aug. 2005. 5xx entrants at $20 each with rebuys & top 3 joined the top 3 at the two other tournaments that weekend for a free trip (travel & hotel) to Vegas to play for a grand at the final table.

Down to 4 left as the 2nd shortest stack on the button with the short stack to act first. He bets 2.5 x & I see Ah 10h & shove. Both blinds fold & the short stack instant calls with KK. Got an A on the turn to bust him & win the trip.

Also got a professional poker chip set as well that I still have.

Yeah the only players from that era that still place highly at WSOP are Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negraneau, Joe Haschem, Phil Ivey, & Phil Helmuth for the most part. Younger players have taken their place.

There are some old European Starcraft players that are doing well in poker after retiring from Starcraft.

Had to send my launch XBOX One to McAllen, TX today because it stopped reading Discs.  Good thing I kept my old XBOX 360 Coffin so I could pack it up and ship off.  The fact that my 360 Coffin would be used for my XB1 is somewhat depressing.

I'm just glad Warlords of Draenor is so good, I don't think I'll miss it.  Would be nice to get it back before Thanksgiving too, so Number84 could play some Halo MCC.

I'm hyped. They were supposed to play at a shitty 800 person venue, but they moved it to a way better 300 person venue. Shit's gonna get crazy.

What was their merch selection like? I'm hoping they'll have some vinyl copies of You're A Woman, I'm A Machine.

Was Sirius or Red Bull at the show? Wondering if that is the one that they are going to play on XMU in the next couple of weeks.

 
I've had the FireTV since last May. If I knew they were gong to sell a "stick" for 1/5th the price.... ($99 for FireTV. $19 for Stick)

We've been really happy with the FireTV though. Cut the cord on cable and haven't looked back.

 
I tested my might in a poker tournament again.

Made it to the Final Table as the chip leader, but got crippled right at the payout bubble by some kid.  His A5 offsuit and my AJ suited, calling his all-in pre-flop.  He got a 5 on the flop and a 5 on the river.  :lol:  Finished in 7th.  :'(  More entrants this time.  Probably 48-49.

 
I dunno, playa.  If I can pick from any two games on that Walmart deal, I'd like to get Shadow of Mordor and Farcry 4.

What about you?  You getting anything?

If you're not strapped for cash, I'd suggest getting something else and purchasing SoM separately. I believe WM also has it on sale that day for $25 so you'll get a better deal out of it if you choose a $60 game like GTA or COD.

Anyone else get Smash Bros for Wii U? Should get some online games going.
