I've been getting this error message when trying to complete my order-

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Keep in mind that you MUST have a Wii that can play PAL-region games.

It's man vs. machine in a new game coming to Nintendo's Wii™ console in spring. Xenoblade Chronicles™ asks players to use the Monado blade to take on a seemingly endless series of invading Mechon robots in a sweeping role-playing adventure.

The main character is Shulk, a weapons researcher who must confront the Mechon by wielding the ancient Monado blade. It's the only weapon that has any effect against the Mechon, and it also enables Shulk to see the future.

Players can customize their characters with a variety of weapons and armor choices, as well as headgear, boots and gloves. As in many role-playing games, players can then gain experience and upgrade their characters. Players can watch their enemies, learn their tactics and unleash real-time counterattacks.

The vast open world of Xenoblade Chronicles is ripe for exploration. Players can avert their focus from the main story and venture out looking for other challenges and side quests. Hidden areas and unique monsters are scattered throughout the game's massive world, which players can explore freely.

Xenoblade Chronicles has already launched in Japan and Europe, and has received unanimously positive reviews, including several perfect scores.

i got my copy yesterday from asda took me about 3 hours to do the wii stuff cough cough. anyhow all i can say is i played for 6 hours yesterday(was late) and have logged another 10ish today. the game is just amazing. i love the unique monster battle music too. all i can say is my wii had spiderwebs on it and now its getting so much use im afraid it might overheat =P. granted yah the graphics are blocky but its a wii who cares the game is amazing and all i care about. i give it 9.5 only reason its not a 10 is cause the camera tends to get annoying sometimes.
 
*sigh* dont think were ever getting this in the states. Rainfall seems to have failed. Why the fuck did they have to put region locking crap on the stupid Wii. I know i can probably mod it somehow but i dont want to screw with my system =(

to those of you who got it, enjoy your awesome looking game. I'll be sulking in the corner over there
 
For the people who ordered from Zavvi, I was going to try and order from them but it did not seem to have a place to indicate that it would be an international order. Do you have to do anything special?

EDIT: Having trouble using Paypal, are there any international sites that accept Paypal?
 
kenshin i was really really worried to but seriously if you have an old wii like me you warranty is gone anyways. the game is so worth it. i just put it down about an hour ago to eat dinner and let gf have tv.
 
I've been having nothing but problems getting this game through Gameplay UK. My original preorder made months ago was cancelled by my CC due to fraud protection. Instead of calling, I ordered another copy of the LE 2 weeks ago. It's been stuck in 'Waiting For Dispatch' for over two weeks now.... :(

I tried to call earlier today, but the rep stated their computers were down. Needless to say, I will be either cancelling or if unable, disputing the charge with my CC bank. Just trying to decide to go el cheapo with Zavvi/The Hut or order from HMV for full retail...

Of course the funny part will be if they decide to release it in NA, only to discover that everyone already bought it overseas. Then they'll say "see, we told you we shouldn't have localized it." And thus, the cycle will begin anew.

Personally, I wonder if they are just saving it for the WiiU to avoid another 3DS-No Launch Title fiasco.
 
Ah, haven't gotten mine yet, got Arcana Heart 3 and that shipped out 3 days after and I got that a week ago! Damn you post office! Not really worried (yet) I ordered two dvd box sets from Wal-Mart a few months ago the same day and they shipped the same day, yet one took 5 more days to get to me.

Exactly...I'm more curious what percentage of sales import (or exports if you will) were in the overall sales figures.

But yeah, if NOA decides to release it, it'll do fairly well for those who didn't import, but for a majority of those that did, I for one am not rebuying it, so no extra sale for the US version from me (and I'd suspect a majority of the people that imported it either).

A special note: For anyone with the game, if you register with Club Nintendo Europe and enter the code for the game, you can get a 12 track sampler under the Treasures section (don't ask me about it, because I'm just passing along the info and know nothing else) of your account. It's a 118MB file (you might have to use a file manager to d/l it since it's notorious for not completing) in MP3 format. ;)
 
Finally, FINALLY got mine.

And now I know why it took so long. My copy shipped from Zavvi on the 14th, and if what all the extra stickers and markings on the package mean what I believe they do, it was delivered to the wrong address, directed to some kind of sorting center in BELGIUM (wtf), then sent out again and delivered successfully. International mail can be scary :cold:
 
There's zero chance of NoA releasing it. The thing to hope for is Last Story which they still have a chance to change their minds on after seeing how well Xenoblade's done.

Try HMV. I just ordered it today after confirming my Gameplay.co.uk cancellation. It's currently has a 5 to 8 day ship time, but it's a lot better than Zavvi's 30 days.

I'm guessing you mean HMV? I wouldn't be surprised if that 5-8 day wait time is something they just threw on there to give people false hope. Really wish I would have ordered from 365games before they sold out.

Yes I meant HMV. I was having bad men's magazine flashbacks because I typed out FHM instead of HMV when posting this from my cell earlier & wound up with a combination between the two.

And I really hope the 5 to 8 day wait time is real.... Otherwise, I will just take my lumps with Zavvi/The Hut and wait the 30 days for dispatch :(
 
honestly so glad i hopped on the wagon cause by the looks of it this could turn out to be a panzer dragoon saga game. it doesnt have a low print run but with the no local release and being just about sold out in japan and uk its just been going way up already.

Yeah but they have to let everyone know that they are going to be doing this before preorders start rolling in from the UK because I am probably going to preorder mine there. For something like $58, it isn't terrible considering Amazon sometimes charges $4 shipping per game.

I'm sure they are... most of the retailers who sold out are those who ship overseas and I'm guessing most retailers didn't plan for many international orders. Nearly all of them say 1 month wait though- so that kinda sucks.
 
Still haven't received my order from the hut and was told today they would start to do their royal mail trace. It doesn't look good.

Though it's a longshot, if anyone has an extra copy and would be willing to part with it for less-than-ebay prices, I'm your huckleberry.
 
I was actually able to get my company to order about 30 copies of the game, they want to bundle a controller with it to get the brand name out there, and price will pretty much be how much it costs to import the game plus shipping since they are getting it through a vendor (so game plus a free controller).

I pushed for it since I see ton's of ppl wanting this game including myself so I figured if this did well I could justify doing the same with Last Story and Pandora's tower since we are an american company with ties to europe.

As soon as I get the copies in I plan on posting them and if more ppl want copies I will push to get more...

What kind of cost are we talking? I think a lot of people would be interested, including myself. What company are you with?
 
because of licensing issues right now I can't mention the name cause I don't want NOA on our asses lol, but getting the game whole sale and all with the controller I imagine 49.99-59.99 max for the game only version with a wii mote of your choice.

I figure it would be good cause that way ppl want it we want to make customers/people happy, If we sell it on ebay can't really have NOA get on us since we aren't marketing or trying to take customers away but to please fans while we are in the states.

Win Win for everyone who was going to preorder it anyway. Like I said if this does well gives us reason to bring the other titles out unless NOA finally announces a release since even I was apart of Operation Rainfall.

When we get our prices in and everything I will have more info hopefully the games will come in next week or so and I can give more info but I will make sure those on CAG will have first dibs since I've been here for a few years now and love this site.
 
My copy from GAME just came in on Saturday. Those who haven't received theirs yet, don't worry too much. International shipping can be very slow.

Sounds awesome. I'd definitely be interested in a copy when it's good to go.

Anyone know what comes in the CE of the game? Is it just the red controller? If so, I don't really need it since I have a classic pro controller already.

It also comes with I think a 3 poster set, and this might be wrong, but I think at least one of those posters is signed by developers our creators or someone involved in development. Not sure about the signatures, but I know it has the posters.
Is he selling the red classic controller version? Cause it sounds like they are selling the normal version and giving you a free regular wii mote.

I believe the 3 poster set was only available as an in-store pickup in the UK. And if the scans I saw are the same posters, they each have an autograph replica on them.

It also sounds to me to be a wiimote being included with the game that RockmanPET is talking about. Regardless of which controller is being discussed, I'm all in for this deal. This would be a lifesaver for me since my copy is AWOL somewhere. Of course there is always a chance that the game is restocked in the UK but even then it's a crapshoot with overseas shipping.
 
International shipping can be fast or slow as hell depends on customs and the company which can suck, even when I order stuff from Japan it can take forever.

For ppl asking it will only be the regular edition of the game, not the LE which is an extra 20 british pounds meaning an extra 30 us dollars. It will be a 3rd party wiimote and while I will say its a companies way of getting its name out there, it still gets the game in your hands EU version without the need for international shipping since we are US based XD.
 
Well I don't really need another Wiimote, but it's a good incentive. Make sure and report back when it's all said and done. Good on you and your company for taking the initiative.
 
haha i imagine everyone has a few wiimotes by now but it was the best way I could go hey, "you know what people want, they want a game called Xenoblade.....spent 20 mins explaining operation rainfall"

So we worked a deal, game + plus wii mote at a good price (waiting to see final numbers when they come in) so ppl get the game and a wiimote and get to know our brand, everyone wins.

All before Zelda comes out
 
I also would be interested in buying a copy locally for that price, especially if it includes a controller.

I've got an order in at a UK site (missed the game.co collector's edition :() and it's gonna be a month before it ships likely.

Pain in the ass, thanks for nothing NoA, you would think with the Wii starving for games they would localize the best rpg since Chrono Trigger :(


edit: Forgot to mention if this was successful I would definitely consider your operation for Last Story and Pandora's Tower in the future if those titles aren't localized.

you know let me do this, If you are seriously interested in a copy for under 60 bucks with a wiimote, PM me but only serious ppl so I can show my bosses and show them this would be a good idea especially for pandora and Last Story so we do this again.

I'll show them the demand and I imagine they would be more happy, so we can do something like this more, plus i'll put ppl who pm me on a list so they get first dibs.

i understand people don't but you have to realize i only got this idea excepted because of the attached wii mote, there would be 0 point in us just importing the game and selling it when we aren't even a game company.

So for sure we will not be selling it game only, just one of our wii motes choice between 4 and the game for all of them. Sorry
 
You can put me down for one as well. I'm still waiting for HMV to confirm an in stock copy & I don't feel like waiting a month for Zavvi. Extra Wiimote or not, any effort will be appreciated...

Glad to know, the wiimotes are a nice bonus free CAG's and I do my job, 2 birds one stone and ppl get there game.

For Pandora and Last I'll try to do something similar, not just a wii mote some nice tie in for our company to again justify bringing the game over and selling it.

You sir are fucking awesome. While I already have my copy, I paid $58 alone for the disc version. You have a great deal where you get a free Wiimote for the same price.

Game is worth $60 anyway.
