Longshot, but does anyone have a spare PS+ trial code?  I want to purchase Lego Marvel, but I have yet to get PS+ because I never play online.  I'm old.  haha

So I traded in my Xbox 360 version of Lego Marvel to upgrade to the PS4 digital edition, and it occurred to me after the fact that, oh yeah, there are a couple of DLC character packs that I had on the 360 and no longer have (obviously) on PS4.

Is there any way to purchase a redemption code for either the Super Pack or the Asgard Pack (through Amazon or another retailer's website) so I don't have to use my card on PSN? I know there's always the $10 PSN card in a worst case scenario, but I'd rather not spend an extra $3 that's just going to be sitting around until some unknown point in the future.

lego marvel was a quick download;. but i have an injustice question it says parts are still downloading but there is no progress bar so when can i finally play story mode?

dont see how you can preorder Rouge legacy for the vita so screw sony not paying 16 for it.
Purchasing this content entitles you to both the PS3™, PS4™, and PS Vita versions!

I would think that means pre-order the PS3 get the Vita as well later? I don't really know. Plus that whole use of "both".

Ultimately it's only a $3.40 savings. I'm sure it will be that cheap again soon after release.

yea noticed the cross buy but dont trust sony. + seen how the game was less then 4 on steam a while back. Not really sure if its worth 14.... and its a very short game many reviews say can beat the game within 10 to 12 hours .

Also love how they say get it for BOTH but list 3 systems :)

lololol. You have to at least hand it to slidecage for being consistent. That said, if this isn't a simple oversight and the vita version won't be available at launch you have a right to be wary. Cloudberry's never materialized despite promises. So glad I didn't bite on that.

I recall reading somewhere that Monaco did very poorly on X360, so I don't think they have a whole lot of incentive to give it another chance on PS3.
Yeah, it didn't do great on 360. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I feel like it was something around 3/4 to 1 compared to its PC numbers. Probably not a huge chance I suppose, but you never know.
Well, that sucks. If you're going to do that exclusivity thing at least push the damn game. Honestly I hadn't heard of it before I got it in the last humble bundle and it might have even been what I was least interested in. Then...I played it and was like, "this shit is actually legit". I don't understand why it's overlooked. Simple but very polished. Stylish art. What little I played of the story was funny. And the multiplayer looks good (local and online). Certainly better than that Giana Sisters mess I was more excited about getting from the bundle.

I recall Microsoft pushing the game as much or more than other games. I just think a game like that has limited appeal to the Xbox market which seems to have fewer gamers interested in non-AAA games.

I enjoy it, but I find it really has to be played with friends in coop to get the most out of it (going solo for me just wasn't happening). I imagine the art style might have a bit to do with people passing it by ("OMG I didn't spend hundreds of dollars to play Atari games trolololo"), though most seem to like it quite a bit once they try it.

I can't agree with you about Giana Sisters, but I'll let you be wrong this time.

10-12 hours to beat any game seems pretty decent - especially if it is a lower priced title. There are plenty of AAA games that take half that to beat. Of course, time to beat should be only one of many quality judgment factors.

Many games actually are way too long for their gameplay and narrative to support. I'm perfectly happy with a 10-12 hour game, or even 5-6 hour game if priced appropriately, as long as the game stays good for that period.

I couldn't get into the Monaco demo at all. The art style drove me crazy, I really really didn't like it.

Giana Sisters is awesome though.

I already used ps+ on my main profile so I ask if this scenario is possible. If I create a new profile can I use the 14 ps+ trial, buy injustice for the ps4, then when I eventually get my ps4, ill download the account that bought the game and my main account and would that allow me to play the game on my main account?

I'm no pro when it comes to account hoping, but that seems like it should work.

Is anyone else's Injustice PS4 download taking forever? Been stuck at 38%. Not my internet since the wifi works perfect so must be something on the Sony side?

a) just use your card on PSN. I've been using it stress free throughout the better part of a decade, including during that whole 'hack' thing which wasn't nearly as bad as some made it out to be (the information that did get out was encrypted). Sony doubled down on security since then, so now I'd consider it safer than any site/service that hasn't been hacked yet. Besides, cc companies are very good at handling/identifying/preventing fraudulent use at this point.

b) If that's still beyond your comfort zone, just buy a psn card on Amazon. Get it instant, load it up on your console, and you're good to go.

A preorder for any is a preorder for all. They haven't created a preorder mechanism on the vita store yet.

If there were a $5 option on Amazon, I'd have done that already. Like I said, I'm not really interested in spending $10 or $20 and letting extra credit languish. Doing that just tempts me to spend more later because "well, I already have $5 in there, it's only another $2.49!" or whatever.

Thanks, though.

The double charges STILL haven't been cleared from my account. I really wish I would have bought PSN credit from Amazon or right here on CAG.

Since the thread is buzzing now....

Anyone with a PS4 know how to make a subaccount with a name if that person doesn't have PSN or email or anything?

Basically, when I'm playing two players like let's say Flow.  Controller One is my name.  Controller Two is USER 1.

It would be nice to have it say my kids' names because, well, they'd like that. But they don't have any PSN name or anything.

Is that possible? Like on PS3, I could easily set up a subacount for them with just their name.

I don't see how to customize the other users without them having some kind of net/PSN presence.

Anyone one with PS3 Lego Marvel think it's worth buying the PS4 version too? Someone convince me.

Vita version is different, right? But a lot or a little? Is it a worthwhile experience if I 95% the PS3 version?

They did push it, but a last-minute delay killed a lot of the hype since it was released a few weeks later after Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Doritos' Crash Course 2 stole their thunder. They ended up dumping it out on a Friday where bad games were typically released so that nobody would notice them.

So after watching some Arkham Knight glorious footage, and getting Arkham City for free, I am now attempting to play the Batman series.

My question, is Arkham Origins apart of the story/series? I see it was made by a different developer

As I understand it, they took existing assets from Arkham City (map, animations, gadgets, etc.) as a starting point and used them to create a new game set in the same area. It's kind of how like Gearbox used Half-Life assets to create the expansion Opposing Force.

Technically, it is a part of it, but I think they consider it to not be a part of it by calling Knight the final part of the Arkham trilogy that includes Asylum and City.

Thanks for the responses! I think Im going to pass even though it's at an amazing price. I could see it being a free PS Plus game to hype up Knight also.

LOL, wait, the two of y'all agree on a game?! Hmmm, maybe I should reconsider. What I played felt laughably generic and the level design was pissing me off. The controls were floaty & awkward, and yes I know it's a reimagining of a "classic". Seriously had never heard of the original so I guess that's another strike against me. Idk man I just don't seem to fare well with difficult games these days. Not to mention the visuals were a candy-colored mess. I closed it with the quickness and never looked back, lol.

Squirrel, I may have to just do Monaco on PC, then. I'm down for co-op whenever.

I thought the controls were pretty accurate, they never felt floaty to me. I agree the art style is kind of a mess, but at least it's a bright and vibrant mess.

It's super tough, specifically the World 1 boss and the final boss.

Ehhh to be fair it could have just been my laptop chugging along that messed with the responsiveness. I'll give it another spin since you guys liked it.

And thank you for admitting its hard, haha! Was sure someone would say it's just me.

If it's not running so hot for you I'd advise you change it to run in DirectX 9 mode (it looks really pretty I think, if you can turn everything up, but you'll definitely want it running at 60fps or the controls will feel pretty lousy).

And yes, it's definitely hard, though certainly not on the level of some other platformers I've played (first and last boss are the hardest parts, and the third world can get pretty tough, but otherwise it's fairly average).

Ok, I see what you're asking now. At first I wasn't sure. I don't have more than one controller yet so I've only tried local co-op with vita but that hardly counts. When you first setup an account doesn't it give the option for 'guest'? They're required to login as well? Huh.

I'm sure you're aware but if the concern is limiting what your kids can do you can setup a sub-account under your main. It may even restrict access to PSN altogether, not sure. Thing about it is when they're finally able to venture out on their own (not sure how old yours are) I don't believe there's a way to switch from a sub to a main. I've seen people complain about that.

As for buying LEGO Marvel on vita, have you considered remote playing from PS4 first? Someone here mentioned it earlier so that's what I'm going to try if I ever get the urge to play portably (doubtful). Idk there seem to be a few here who actually enjoy those ports but I have 2 LEGO games on 3DS and regret the purchase. Of course, those don't have trophies so I honestly think that could be influencing people's enjoyment on vita.

You can use Paypal on PSN now.

The 3DS and Vita Lego games are inferior to their console cpunterparts in a lot of ways, but the super short levels are great for pickup-and-play. I use them as pulp during my commute.

Hmmm....I could always make a PSN account for them. They have gmail accounts for the Android tablets so they can play Angry Birds. They're really young though. I don't want to commit them to a screen name that they wouldn't want in the future. Apparently I'm insane that I don't want to burden them with an uncool screen name that they might not be able to change.

I'm thinking if I had to pick PS4 or Vita (since I already have PS3 Lego Marvel), I'd be tempted to get the Vita version. The levels seem a little different where as the PS4 levels appear to be identical playing. I probably don't need either. I should just play games I haven't played yet or at least finish Folklore

I am in the same boat. I want to play it eventually but I am trying to be real looking at the backlog knowing I can wait till it is $10 or less in a year from now.

Nah, man, that just means you're a thoughtful dad haha. If anything create a dummy account just for when you MP with them. Idk, wish I had a better suggestion. I definitely like that Sony now allows for simultaneous profile logins (and if I'm not mistaken both earn trophies), but never considered the delimma you've presented.

I've got Star Wars Saga (on DS), Batman 2 and LEGO City. The levels are more streamlined instead of open world exploration. I don't mind that and as @fif mentions it's great pick and go gameplay. My biggest beef is how the games look. Also the co-OP is obviously missing which is what enjoy most. If you don't care about that then it might be for you.
