I said I wasn't going to buy any games for a while, but I couldn't pass up Costume Quest for $3.75.
I grabbed it during the Halloween sale when it came with the Grubbins on Ice DLC. Just recently played it, it was awesome IMO.

I'm tempted by Just Cause 2 and the Red Faction games (particularly Guerrilla). I've had both of those on Xbox 360 and quite frankly they're my favorite games of this generation.

My user pic (in the signatures below, not the CAG one to the left) probably already gave that away though
How can online chess suck?

And funny you bring up PS HOME chess, I sat on that for a few hours one day and you're right lol
Well a lot of reviewers didn't like it because you can't technically play a live, online game. Everything is done through PSN messaging (moves get sent one at a time to each other's mailbox).

I was saying a few posts above that I really like this because it allows me to make a move whenever I get around to it rather than sit there and do a whole game (which involves a lot of down time while you wait for the other person). You could technically still play this game that way, its just after you make a move you will be brought back to a menu while you wait for the other player to make their next move.

Really they should have allowed for both methods of online play, but what can ya do.
I'm convinced to get Disgaea 3, I mean I should.. it's free. But should I just play it for the ps3 if I have the ps3 copy? The only thing that's bothering me is that I have the trophy list for D3 (ps3) on my trophies (but at 0%). So, if I were to play the vita version, there would be a separate trophy list for that, right? It's something so small, but if the games are the same, I may just play the ps3 version.
Well, the games have separate trophy lists, and for what it's worth, the Vita trophies look much more accessible. I played about 40-50 hours of D3 on PS3 and only got a handful of trophies (mostly lame stuff like jumping a bunch of times or playing the game x number of hours straight).
I'm looking for opinions on how I should spend 18ish dollars to get to $100 spent in the promotional period.

What should I purchase when choosing from de Blob 2, the Red Faction games, and the Deus Ex DLC?
If you like platforming in any way then definitely look at de Blob 2. Your getting a retail game for under 5$ and the game is actually a lot of fun too.
Is Tales of Graces F worth it?

Never played a Tales game before...it's also 42$ free shipping on amazon (without the DLc)
If you're a fan of JRPG then you will enjoy it. (story is meh but combat is fun imo)
the DLC are like bonus stuff for your party, which really isn't worth it imo.
I still have about $7.50 to spent to get to $50. I'm thinking of comboing any two of the following 4 games:

EscapeVecktor
Rocketbirds Vita
Sunflowers
Bentley's Hackpack

Anyone have any input on EscapeVektor, Sunflowers, or Bentley's Hackpack? (I know Bentley has a demo, I'll be checking it out tonight).
You may have already made up your mind, but I'd like to throw my hat in the Sunflowers ring. I had a lot of fun with it when it was first released.

If you're a Tales fan at all 100 times yes. But like others have mentioned before, the dlc is just cosmetic stuff and things to make the game easier if I remember correctly. So in no way is it needed or worth it in my opinion.

Chain capacity + 2 and double skill points are both useful.

You unlock most of them on New Game+, but you have to spend points to get them.

Just Cause 2 (digital) for that $8.99

Just Cause 2 (hardcopy) for $15

I like having hardcopy but is it worth the extra bucks?
Just remember the Vita version contains ALL of the DLC released for the PS3 copy. There's a lot DLC for Disgaea 3.

If you have access to a 360 then I say play Tales of Vesperia as that is arguably the best Tales game of the series and one of the best JRPG's ever IMO.

You could also wait for Tales of Xillia which comes out in July on disc though for $60.

Since it's on sale, I may give it a try. While the multiplayer isn't ideal, I guess it's worth a shot. Lately I've just been meeting friends on Home for chess. At least the Pure Chess single player sounds decent.

just that it's EscapeVecktor or Bentley's Hackpack hmm

Not sure why people didn't like the story, I personally really enjoyed it. Especially the mystery of Sophie, the Amarcians, Richard, and then the twists that come later on. I know a lot of people think Asbel is a wussy lead, but I thought he fit the story perfectly. Really enjoyed Graces F, first Tales game I've played, but now going to play all that are available in English including preordering Xilla.
terraria!!!!!!
Indeed. I was playing it earlier today and the game is great and really fun, however its taking me time to adjust playing with a controller, mind you its not like its unplayable with it, I'm just used to playing Terraria with keyboard and mouse.

Those plot points were all taking a backseat to... friendship, sunshine, and puppies!!!

(P.S. There aren't any puppies.)

I'm sad Vesperia never made it to the PS3 outside of Japan. I think it seriously had the best story of all the Tales game though that isn't saying much since story has never had much precedence in Tales games imo.
Can we get a "leaving date post on the op? I want to manage my cards efficenlty
Are you talking about notes of when PS+ games are taken down? Because I do add those when we know them and the one game we know is leaving next week is clearly marked in the OP.

I'm $1.60 short of a projected $50 and I don't want any avatars/themes (I love my current avatar too much to ever change)... do any of the Tomb Raider DLC help the game much?

Not sure if anyone's asked regarding the sale but....

Anyone know why the JUST CAUSE 2 DLC's for the "Monster Truck" and "Rico's Signature Gun" are listed as "unavailable"?

It's wierd, every other DLC is on sale except those 2 and they're not available for purchase.

:whistle2:k
do any of the Tomb Raider DLC help the game much?
Tomb Raider DLC is only multi-player stuff - they have no plans for single-player DLC
Sony is rolling in money with their "get $10 back" promotion. So much unnecessary and spontaneous purchases in this thread.
That and its also a good chance to get a discount on stuff that likely won't go on sale for a long time. Pretty much spent 100$ just on Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires and Atelier Totori, both of which I don't expect a price drop for a long time.
would VT4 and Sonic All-Stars racing likely to go any lower?
This is the lowest price they've both been on PSN. I believe VT4 hit $8.99 during a GoHastings sale at retail though
Sony is rolling in money with their "get $10 back" promotion. So much unnecessary and spontaneous purchases in this thread.
There always has to be a downer that basically is calling everyone buying things to get money back idiots. Makes you wonder why people worry so much about how other people spend their money. Thanks for your enlightening post my friend! :applause:
would VT4 and Sonic All-Stars racing likely to go any lower?
I don't see Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed getting any lower any time soon, especially since the game came out in Nov. (Dec. for Vita). $20 for a portable version is a great deal. Got it at launch and really enjoyed it. It also has, as the final unlockable "character"...
a Dreamcast VMU driving the Hornet from Daytona USA that turns into the After Burner plane & into a freakin' Dreamcast controller for its boat mode & even makes sounds based on the Dreamcast hardware.
So $49.99 gets rounded to $50 - does $99.98 get rounded to $100?
They only explicitly guaranteed that $49.99 became $50 for the Plus subscription. I'd buy a cheap avatar or something similar to be safe.

Are you serious about the VMU being a character? That sounds like the Hornet cameo in Fighter's Megamix. I wish it was in the console versions, I don't want to play the game on Vita.
Are you serious about the VMU being a character? That sounds like the Hornet cameo in Fighter's Megamix. I wish it was in the console versions, I don't want to play the game on Vita.
It's in the console version too.

Ever stop to think that some of us may get "free" PSN money?
would VT4 and Sonic All-Stars racing likely to go any lower?
I think both of them will. They are Sega games, and Sega does lots of sales. I'm holding out for at least $5 cheaper on both of them.
FYI-Terraria coming to Vita this summer.

http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/28/4156366/terraria-ps-vita
Cool. I'll probably wait for the Vita version and pass on buying the PS3 version any time soon.

I don't know how I feel about Vita becoming the "indie machine". I guess having more games available is better than not, but already having bought them all on PC for 1/4 of the price or less makes me completely uninterested, and dilutes the pool of PS+ games that I'd want. My best bet then would be for the surge of indies to drive Vita sales so more big name devs are interested in the platform.

playing some of these indie games on the Vita is a completely different experience.
we could always hope that Humble Bundle comes to the Vita
