Now they need to get their act together and get other stuff online, such as seeing what friends are playing or if online, send/receive messages, look at games and their trophies (and which you've completed), do this such that Raptr can track game time, etc.
Am I crazy or did they secretly raise the price of LBP Karting from $10.00 to $10.99? o_O
Still $10 for me in the web store....which, by the way, is awesome!!

You are not crazy.
On the front page of the store, it is listed at $10.99 (for me anyway).
But when I went to a specific section (PSN Plus?) it was showing $10.

Love the web store; runs so much faster/smoother than the PS3 one. Noticed a single issue. I bought LBP Karting on Tuesday along with other games, but the web store doesn't mark it as purchased (other games are marked).

Holllly shit, you guys. The online store is very nice :D

Also, what are the odds the Sly Collection will go on sale? I got $30 burning a hole in my PSN pocket, and I've never, ever played any of the Sly games.

I'd hold off till then.

Cool. Will do! Thanks, brother.
Holy shit, I just realized something. Didn't the iOS port of Vice City have issues with the soundtrack? I hope that isn't the case with the PSN release. That soundtrack is crucial to that game!
It was removed from all versions that are currently on sale, which currently just covers the Steam and mobile versions. The PS2 version probably suffers the same fate.
Love that new websotre, makes purchasing my PS + games a breeze. Good job Sony.

Hope that Cubixx game is not just the Mini title, but otherwise it looks pretty cool.

The PSN version got good reviews including an 8/10 on Eurogamer.
It's the PlayStation Mobile game.

And I actually regret buying CubixxHD for $5 a few months ago. The actual game is a pretty decent idea, but the implementation isn't great. There's a lot of replaying levels over and over because you have to beat (I think) 5 levels with one set of lives before you can unlock the next set of levels. The trophies are pretty terrible as well, which is something not everybody cares about, but I do.

The Minis version, which is what the PSM version is based on, it better in that sense since it's handled like an arcade game.

I dont understand. What is the "it" that was removed? The entire soundtrack? Just the handful of songs that were mentioned by waldo above? Something else?

It would be a real bummer to play Vice City without *any* 80's songs.

Thanks for the info on Cubixx. I guess that is the free PS Mobile game for the week. I was hoping we would get a vita IGC game since Chronovolt is going away.

I just noticed a new offer at the store:
15 months of PS Plus for $49.99. Check it at Playstation Plus - New Arrivals.
Sorry if this was posted earlier.

I'm also having trouble downloading Foosball for PS3. I downloaded it on my Vita with no problem, but downloading from PS3 gives me an error. I checked my transaction history and I don't have an unlock key for the PS3 version, just the Vita demo and key. Trying to add it to cart from the new web store tells me I don't have permission to add it to cart, yet I can add other items. I'm getting pretty frustrated.

We will.
Hmm.. Should I buy NI No Kuni from PSN? I normally buy retail games on disc but it is sold out all over town.
Not unless you have to play it right away. Retail will come back in stock, and the PSN version shouldn't ever be more than $54.99

Good deal but I'm set til Summer 2014. Since I don't plan on buying a PS4 until well after launch, I don't think I'll need to extend my subscription out any further than that at this point.

Like I said, it's there, but it says it's the Vita version. I'll try downloading it just in case, but I have a feeling it's just for the Vita. I know when I bought Sound Shapes and RCR, they had both PS3 and Vita in the download list.

EDIT: Ah, nevermind, I scrolled down further and saw that there's Foosball 2012 Demo, and Foosball 2012 Vita, so I guess the first one is the PS3 version. It still says Vita above the title in small text, so that threw me off.
Hmm.. Should I buy NI No Kuni from PSN? So if you have a fast internet connection and 40GB+ of available HDD space, then go for it.

If anyone knows somebody who may be getting a Vita, Sony is offering a $20 PSN Card if you refer somebody. Not too bad if you have a friend who may be purchasing one before Feb. 28

Decided to get.

Shank 2
Warp
The Unfinished Swan
Rachet and Clank
Jak and Daxter
Hot Shot Golf
Machinarium.

All for $17 is pretty dam nice. Now to find time to play them.

My thoughts exactly.. still waiting on Sony to come out with a sale for Free Time at 75% off.

Actually, they do have that...for free...but it's only available to their employees. I think they're calling the program "layoffs".

I had the same exact confusion. The header text always says "PS Vita" even though apparently the Demo is the PS3 version.

I started Unfinished Swan today without really reading anything about the game and was really pleased with how different it feels. The feel of it is like Portal or Minecraft to me but really not at all in terms of gameplay. A little bit of Flower. It's tough to describe. The story is charming and touching so far as a parent. I love that the soundtrack sounds just like Brian Eno.

Here's a link to the 15 months of PS+ for $49.99 deal on the PS Store. It'll last until 3/4/13, so you don't have to rush to get in on it.
Good looks Frisky. This is the original deal they had for plus when I signed up and even though I'm not close to expiring I'll probably end up adding another 15 months before the deal ends.

I already got Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, but I'm so tempted to get LBPK. Something about being able to get Deadpool in a Karting game just hypnotizes me.
I already got Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, but I'm so tempted to get LBPK. Something about being able to get Deadpool in a Karting game just hypnotizes me.
They're really two different games with different feels. Sonic is more traditional karting (and is definitely the better game in the kart racing area), while LBPK feels more like a LBP game...play through levels in the story, emphasis on collecting prize bubbles, some minigames and different gameplay types (battle mode, a "capture the flag" type mode) to mix things up, and, of course, customization. I'd say they're different enough that they're both worth having.

That's infuriating. I hope that going forward companies are doing more to license songs to cover both the original release of a game and the possibility of subsequent (or simultaneous) digital releases.

Yeah, it won't make GTA VC any better or worse in any meaningful way but it just seems like the game is somehow less complete when things like this happen. There was a certain vision for the title and now it is compromised.

I'm trying to pick up Mega Man 9 for free, but I own Mega Man 10 so it will not allow me to add the free package of the two games to my cart. Are there any workarounds for this?

Rockstar probably had no idea that people would still be interested in GTA VC 10 years after it's original PS2 release, so why would they want to pay extra money to have licenses last longer/cover more than what they thought would be necessary at the time?

Sometimes it's the artist/rights holder's fault. Whoever currently owns the rights to Michael Jackson's music has a lot of power and can sell shorter licenses for more money.

Regarding LBP karting. My son bought it and I played it a little with them yesterday. The karting is pretty weak in comparison to Mario Kart. The game feels slow and a bit dull. However he likes the game and especially the ability to create tracks and download tracks. So if your in this for a good karting game, I don't think you want it. If you like the idea of creating tracks and such, you may have fun with it.

Also what's the chances Okami HD is gonna see $10 or less?

Also also, I'm tempted for the PS+ thing but I don't know I'd play the free games. I've only had my PS3 for 2 months now but I've only gotten maybe 1 free game I'd actually play.

Also also also, can you still use PS+ trials to extend your time if you are paid? Thanks!
