:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

The freezing didn't even start until about 7-8 hours into the game in Capital City, so it was also perfectly fine up to that point for me.

Not yet, but I'm in chapter four right now at 14 hours having beaten 5 of 11 bosses and collected 16 of 40 recruits for perspective. I'm sure people could beat it more quickly by mainlining the content, turning down the difficulty, and not exploring, but it seems to have plenty of content for me.
Ok. I just got to Capitol City so we'll see what happens when next I play.

There better be some amazing flash sale this weekend and an amazing week long sale this week.
If the incoming week long sale quality is equal to or greater than this past week's sale then I'll be satisfied. I gotta believe the people at Playstation must know this discount, by itself, will not be enough to hold back the flood of anger that would follow if they screw this up.

Just realized something. There is a limit of 4-5 items (can't remember exactly) you can add to your cart for each transaction. This is a one time use code, so does that mean the most we can get from this offer is limited to your total number of items in a single cart?

EDIT: Answered my own question... I added 10 games from the anniversary sale to my cart and just completed checkout. Maybe it's a good thing I'm only allowed to add ten items, I think I may have a problem.

What are some good games to get with the 10% off code that is coming? I want to get Sword Art Online for my Vita. I was going to see if The 3rd Birthday worked on Vita and get that too since I missed it years back.

SAO is fun. You should've picked it up during black Friday time frame when it was on sale though.

Really stupid question,

When I go to queue up PSV and PSP games I purchased through this sale... and even when looking for games to purchase..

Why does it list PSP and PSV games as "Playable on PS3"??

Is it just because they can be downloaded to the system, or are they playable now?

Just double checking, as I said stupid question entirely.
Poor wording.

If so, that'll take the wind out of the sales for me.
The limit on items is 10 but then it will also limit the dollar amount of the transaction as well. Looks like it caps out at $150 since that's what the maximum you can have in your account at one time is and you can only purchase with funds from your account.

Yeah, I just came to this answer by checking out with 10 games from the anniversary sale. They must have increased the limit not too long ago because I remember being annoyed with the system every time I reached the cap. Thanks.

It's always been 10 since I've had a PS product (three years I think). Maybe in the past you've just bumped up against the dollar limit or something.

Just bought Jet Moto 1 and 2, Twisted Metal 1 and 2, Soul Reaver, Medievil and Wipeout for PS1. Couldn't bring myself to buy Tomb Raider 1 and 2 even for those cheap prices. I was gonna rebuy Persona 4 as a digital title, but I don't really need to. Glad I reigned myself in.

When the weekend 10% discount comes in, I'm finally going to buy House of the Dead 3 and 4 for PS3, Castle of Shikigami 2 for PS2, Shienryu and Magical Drop, which are PS1 imports, and some of the SNK minis such as Prehistoric Isle. I've never seen any of those discounted, and I do loves my shmups. I was also thinking about Way of the Samurai 4 for PS3 but it's been suggested that it's boring.

I'm glad I always do one last pass through the stuff on sale on Tuesday mornings. I've been wanting to pick up Okami forever and didn't even see it in the sale list. Probably should have picked up the Ratchet and Clank Collection for Vita but I don't have enough credit on my account and I hate using Paypal when I have unused PSN cards in my desk at home. Should have probably loaded up another one this weekend. Ah well.

Anybody planning on using the 10% on ps4 preorders? I know it's not as good as Best Buy GCU, but it's less hassle than driving to the store. Then again, you don't have the flexibility of trading in a dud.

My haul this week (all PS3) was Okami HD, Jak & Daxter collection, and that awesome $3 deal on the Sly Cooper collection from BoxedDeal.

I'm very interested to see what this week's sale holds.  Do we have any confirmation that the 10% coupon is able to stack on top the sale prices?

Not sure I'll use the 10% off on anything. I guess it all depends if there is a sale or not. For PS4 (which my family got one this weekend), unless it's a fantastic sale or digital only I'm sticking with retail discs because you never know if something will end up being a dud or that one day no one will want to play it and it can then be sold.

...

Today I've been having signing into the store from my pc. But I kept at it and managed to get in through the mobile site. Ended up buying Tony Hawk HD, FF VII, & Okami HD on sale and grabbed Minecraft for the PS4 since my son wanted that version. Not a bad haul for just over $20.

So apparently you cannot use the 10% discount on psn plus subscriptions. fuck.
Not really that surprising. I wouldn't be shocked either if the sales on PS+ subscriptions from Sony stop completely. It really doesn't make much sense for it to ever be on sale.

The only thing I can see myself getting with this 10% off is the Grim Fandango pre-order, but the idea of that just seems wrong. Besides, I'm sure it'll be half off w/ PS Plus by year's end.

Finally bought Chrono Trigger and bit the ol bullet on Danganronpa. This anniversary sale was pretty legit though. Not sure where all the complaints are coming from. Sony doesn't have to discount anything and yet some of you think you deserve insane discounts every week.

I don't know everyone here but I'd expect most everyone came here for the same general reason of wanting to know where the best deals are on games. I don't think most people expect huge discounts all the time, but I think most certainly would love it if there were big sales all the time. We are CAG's after all. Nothing wrong with that. Not that I noticed much complaining at all about the sales other than people not finding anything to buy which isn't as much a complaint as a just a statement.

I think I'm going to use the 10% off the new Resident Evil HD remake. And maybe the new Atelier game, I am not sure yet...

Am I the only one who thinks a 10% off coupon is pretty worthless?  I don't buy anything digitally until it gets dirt cheap, so 10% off of that is pretty minimal.  I guess there are a lot of people willing to spend more on digital than me, but even so, 10% seems too small to alter a spending decision and buy something unplanned.

Obviously 10% is better than nothing so i'm not complaining.

It sure sounds like you're complaining.

Not just you, it's pretty terrible. Yeah it's better than nothing but to really save anything you're spending a ton. Max that can be saved is $15, and if there's no sales to stack with it 10% isn't really enough to justify just buying stuff left and right.

If I bought the R&C Collection on the PS3, is it worth buying the Vita version? I haven't play through the first 10 minutes on the PS3 version yet because I've been so far away from it. Thank you for any input guys.

The sale is over, so I'd suggest skipping it until the next sale.

The primary motivator would have been the trophies, as each R&C on Vita has a separate list.

Thanks. I only asked because it's still $12 when I check out and was really debating on getting it all week. I guess I'll just save it for the 10% and get the RE HD.

Thanks Vigilante. I was hoping shared and cross save, but saw it did not work that way. I read bad controls for the first game, so I guess it's a plus I'll be passing.

So I see absolutely nothing for PS4 (not sure if that $17.99 for Thief is a sale but it's crap anyway).

Unless there's a surprise later today, looks like we'll get a whopping 10% off regular prices. The ONLY thing that's good on is new releases. Otherwise mine as well wait for a real sale.

Well at least I'll buy Legend of mana and 3rd Birthday (assuming it goes cheaper) and save... something.

I know Sony didn't have to do anything but new PS4 users got the most screwed by this. I mean my kids had to wait for days to play with their new toy over Christmas (as did I of course). And then we get a 10% off coupon when there may be some decent sales for other systems, but jack shit for PS4.

Oh well, might save a $1.49 and pre order Grim Fandango. Yippee!

Thief honestly wasn't THAT bad. Bought it from gamefly, got the plat and traded it to GS for the same amount I paid. For $60 I'd pass, but for $10 or less? I've played far worse. With all the hate towards this game, it may very well be a $5 game sooner or later. If you have as big a backlog as I do, you may as well wait it out

It's one of those games where it's not so bad if you didn't play the other games, Just like DmC. Though I don't understand the purpose of making your main characters so edgy
