I actually like Fuddruckers.  Don't know of any around here.

I never eat pasta at OG.  Just the zuppa toscana and breadsticks.  $5.99 lunch baby.

Also, I think Aspyr needs to give up on the games and just sell us burgers and pizza.  They'd make a killing.

best burger you can ever get is in my home town, the city of destiny at paradise pup it makes you forget all other burgers exist.  They are not open very long every day because the food is that good and its packed when they are open.  They dont have a website but they have a instagram where you can see some pics https://www.instagram.com/paradise_pup/

Since I moved out further in the burbs I stick with culuvers or my new local favorite dairy mart.

BRB going to see if I can rope in Humble on some Pizza Bundles. BTA for Pepperoni

Once you get to pizza slice and mac and cheese buns you're not even eating burgers any more. You're that guy who's desensitized himself to regular porn and has to watch smurf tentacle pubg stepsister porn parodies in the hopes that something will make your limp dick come alive again.
The ingredients can only be so good at these places to make a profit, so the key is to try new ingredients. Your view is equivalent to having vanilla sex with your wife, and I'm telling you it's better when you're double dipping her friend in the basement pillory while she watches.

You joke.. but minus that heroes one.. I can't find 2 others I want that I don't own. It's craziness. :p

P.S. All the Burger talk made me just have a cheat day on my diet to go get a Double Cheeseburger with Bacon at my local place. It was fan-freakin-tastic.

There's a hierarchy of burger places: there's the bottom tier, which includes fast food joints like Burger King and Five Guys, then there's the middle tier of restaurant chains like Red Robin and Applebee's, and then there's the upper eschelon of hipster burger restaurants that'll serve a bacon-wrapped chicken burger between two waffles drowned in maple syrup. Those are the places I enjoy.

My favorite burger restaurant serves a burger with deep dish pizza slices for buns. Cuz if you're going to have a heart attack, you gotta make sure it was worth it.

They also have a mac 'n cheese burger...

Edit: The Rodeo Burger is an unsung hero of the burger world and literally the only thing I'll ever get at Burger King.
The place I mentioned with the dry-aged burger used to have a mac and cheese burger, though they had a normal bun with a sort of fried mac and cheese patty on top of the beef patty.

This thread has inspired me to pitch Five Guys @ Freddy's: An animatronic dating sim.
I’ve seen SFM porn of FNAF, so why not?

It was 75 here today and we currently have a large supercell thunderstorm moving in with tornado warnings around, not one for this storm yet but might be soon.   Frack it, I'll take mid-spring weather at the end of November.  Threats of death and all.  Worth it.

Fuddruckers has the best burgers.
They certainly used to. They changed their ingredients here about two years ago and now it's completely forgettable. About three years back, 7 of the entire 8 Fuddruckers in the state closed and now only one location remains. The last Fuddrucker's standing is in one of the most affluent suburbs.

It's been happening to a lot of franchises lately. Many are closing. My local Wendy's just closed last week and it had been standing there for at least 30 years. We don't have any Schlotzsky's here anymore either. That Cinnabon deal sounds awesome. It's probably for the better though; my fatass doesn't need to eat an additional 1200 calories in Cinnabon every week.

Only time I've had fuddruckers was in the Sand Box (Dubai, UAE) and after 100 days out to sea I don't trust my taste buds well enough to judge but it was pretty divine at the time... Though I'm pretty sure it was goat cheese. The Pizza Hut there used goat cheese.

I put goat cheese on a Freschetta once, I liked it... but I love goat cheese...

I had to look up midrats, but it sounds like a lot has changed since you were in the Navy:

Midrats has been a Naval tradition dating back to 1902, when the Navy decided to make changes to Sailors’ diet by introducing a new meal to the fleet. President Theodore Roosevelt signed the 1902 Navy Ration Act that included a section for additional rations specifically for Sailors who worked the night shift. At that time, enlisted Sailors who had night watches were given an extra allowance of one ounce of coffee or cocoa, two ounces of sugar, four ounces of hard bread, and four ounces of preserved meat between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Nowadays, Sailors can choose from breakfast items such as eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, and French toast; or dinner items like pork chops, ribs, mashed potatoes, green beans, steak, and grilled chicken.
“It’s like a buffet,” said Culinary Specialist 1st Class Brandon Francis, Ford’s night galley watch captain. “Whatever you’re craving, it’s usually on our menu for that night.”
Francis says that a team of eight culinary specialists and five food service attendants prep, cook, and serve the nightly meal that starts at 10 p.m. and ends at midnight.
“We typically cook for more than 350 Sailors and the prepping begins at 7 p.m.,” said Francis.
Francis and his team cook over 600 slices of bacon, use more than 720 eggs, and go through five boxes of hash browns during a routine midrats meal.
“Sailors like midrats because they’re going to be up all night working and it gives them a chance to sit down, relax, and refuel,” said Culinary Specialist Seaman Recruit Justin Handsome. “We serve comfort food and I know that they enjoy it. We’re kind of like the heart of the ship and it makes me feel good about my job.”
Sailors who look forward to the nightly meal do so for many reasons. Whether it’s because of the variety of food that the galley team serves or the time the meal is offered, Sailors look to midrats as the meal that keeps them going through the night.
“Midrats is a meal that I look forward to,” said Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Amatullah Seymour, who works on Ford’s flight deck during this underway period.
Seymour said after working long hours on the flight deck midrats offers an opportunity to relax and eat her favorite meal, eggs.
“Midrats kind of throws you off because it’s a breakfast type-meal, but I see breakfast as an all-day meal. I’m a big egg person so I always have to have a good portion on my plate,” said Seymour.
Midrats is more than a meal that Sailors eagerly wait for at night, it’s an opportunity for Sailors to reenergize, socialize with friends, and prepare themselves for a long night of watchstanding. Because of a group of dedicated galley Sailors, a simple nighttime meal has evolved into a morale booster for Ford Sailors and for those around the fleet.
“For us, it’s a great satisfaction to give the crew what they want, which is a hot meal that allows them to keep up the fight,” said Francis.

I was in the Navy and I used to beeline for Midrats.  It was also far less "busy" as most of the chuckleheads on a Carrier were asleep.  Always a decent setup.

It's been a long long time since I've played Overwatch, but it seems a bit better on PC than it did on PS4... Just a little bit ;).

I wasn't in the Navy, but have heard people describe it as the best meal of the day.... just making a joke that Fuddruckers was probably still better than that
Ah, I thought maybe because you were so old you served during the era of " extra allowance of one ounce of coffee or cocoa, two ounces of sugar, four ounces of hard bread, and four ounces of preserved meat "

What is one supposed to do with two ounces of sugar and four ounces of bread and meat?

GIving a sailor an extra sausage biscuit and cup of coffee sounds great, but it won't ameliorate the fact that he didn't sleep for two days.

Wow, I thought I knew some perverts outside of this site. . . .

Well, if you ask one of these loons, he'll tell you, "Put it on a pizza or a hamburger."

I mean, you saw that coming, right?

Also, you guys are delusional about your pricing.

Last time I got a combo at burger king it was like $10.

For $10 at Five Guys you get fresh ingredients, made to order, unlimited toppings, fresh fries cut that day, unlimited peanuts. Not sure what you expect for $10.
An actually good burger, a sane portion of fries and maybe a beer or a soda?
I mean sure, that's lunch price and the same thing is probably $15 for dinner, $20 if you want a better grade of beef or bison.

Unless you're doing happy hour pricing where they're basically giving the food away in the hopes you get drunk, you're not going to find that for $10 and even when you do you have to take into account tip and time. You simply won't find a better quality burger that you can order in the counter and be out the door 5 minutes later.

Just thought I'd drop in and say 5 Guys is legit the best burger you can buy without waiting forever and being expected to tip just for someone to hand you fuck ing food. Pile on the toppings, too. I live in a decently large city, with a ton of smaller, niche burger options, but still always find myself going back to 5 Guys. Also, cherry/chocolate/banana milkshake with whipped topping. You're welcome.

I have never been to 5 guys. Is it like Fuddruckers where you can chose what to throw on your burger? I am a pretty picky eater and dont like alot of crap on mine.

No, it's cooked to order burgers, fries, and shakes. They only use fresh ingredients.

You can choose from about 20 different toppings, but they dress if for you.

It's a real solid burger. I like it with "everything", so, yes, it's a big mess to manage, but damn is it good.

Here's the menu:

http://www.fiveguys.com/Menu

But yes, you choose what you want on the burger and they make it with only what you want. Their menu is a little confusing - the regular burger, cheeseburger, or bacon cheeseburgers come with two patties. If you only want one patty you have to get the little burger, little cheeseburger, or little bacon cheeseburger.

You just choose which one you want and tell them what toppings you want and your burger comes out exactly how you order it.

I'm usually like Hal, everything and it's one big mess, but it's good.

I'm in the minority but all the 5-Guys I've been to in MD or FL have been greasy nasty burgers that I feel like I've been overcharged for.  The peanuts aren't bad and their hot dogs were decent.

Problem isn't making it myself. Problem is needing a shitload of stuff to make one thing. Then if you don't use it up, you end up spending more.

I don't mind cooking. I mind eating the same thing 4 days in a row.

I went to Freddy's yesterday because CAGs told me to.
The hamburgers are nothing to write home about. If "steakburger" means our meat is oddly flat and stringy, okay. The bun was generic, the patty itself was curiously salty, and it was just average at the end of the day.

The hot dogs are another story. They're pretty good. That Chicago dog someone was alluding to earlier is loaded with crap that I don't eat, but the regular hot dog with mustard was pretty decent. The wiener was good for what hot dogs are, and the bun was a combination of crispy and buttery that worked well.

The fries were those long, stringy affairs. They were also excessively salty. Compared to the fries at the Zaxby's next door, they sucked.

The "Freddy's fry sauce" is the same sort of nauseating Thousand Island-mayonnaise-type garbage that they try to foist off on you at Raising Cane's and McDonald's, pretending that it's something elaborate you couldn't concoct on your own in five seconds in your home kitchen with two or three basic ingredients. Or you could get a version of it where they add jalapeno peppers, because putting jalapeno peppers on your runny trash always makes it jalapeno-flavored runny trash.

I didn't try any of their ice cream (?) products. I did just eat a hamburger and a hot dog after all.

The drink fountains were disappointingly limited, as they were old-fashioned style and not the pick-from-a-zillion-combinations newfangled devices. I stuck with straight MD.

In short, I would probably eat another hot dog there.

This has been another installment of Warren's Restaurant Reviews. This is  Yelp!, right? DId I mix up my site logins again? Um, also, I played a game yesterday. There.

You should typically have everything that goes on a classic burger at home anyway, unless you're incredibly lazy/useless and all you do is eat out.

I will second the MD notion. Tried a few spots and they were all way too greasy. Surprisingly, here in IN, the 5G near me is probably the best near-fast food burger within lazy driving distance.

Steak 'n Shake isn't bad for a "fast" food alt-burger, but jebus are they fuqing slow.
