For those who pre-ordered the Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the Witch, I suggest you to call ahead of time to reserve your SteelBook early before street date. I pre-order it last week and called GS inquiry for availability and he let me reserve that steelbook early since it's extremely limited.

My gamestop let me have mine today at lunch since I will be coming back from out of town on Tuesday and will pick my game up on Wed. Glad I did cuz my store only had 3 of them. The assistant manager let me pick the best out of the three, one had a few scratches and the other two were pristine.

Picked up my Steel from GS yesterday, no problem. These don't come shrink-wrapped BTW, so be sure to inspect the case for damage.

I'm not really sure. It's released by Fox who aren't consistent when it comes to region coding. I'll look into it and see if I can find some accurate info for you.

edit: The movie is also being released in the US by Fox on the same day so I'm thinking it'll probably be region free (often things get locked because someone else owns the rights in a different region, etc..)

Heh just search for the pics of all the destroyed MGS HD LEs from zavvi that were posted on CAG because they shipped them overseas in plastic bags.
 
We need to make note of which overseas steels are region free and which ones aren't... Will make my buying choices easier lol.
 
As much as I'd like a Roger Rabbit steel, hopefully there's a better one stateside. Can't see importing that one for being so meh.

the looper steelbook from futureshop is a beauty, got one on ebay, it cost me around $55 shipped if i remember correctly, but worth it.

the futureshop steelbook is from canada and is compatible with US blu ray players FYI
 
Is there going to be a steelbook for skyfall sold in the u.s.? Even though I got every James Bond movie on DVD I want to get this one on blu ray in a steelbook.
 
I think there's a steelbook coming out for the last of us from amazon.Italy for 89.99 u get other stuff too with the steelbook

Sorry I meant the UK version. I generally don't deal with Futureshop.

Amazon.uk picked up the Looper steelbook from HMV and so they might get some of the other HMV exclusives depending on what happens. It's looking like the Skyfall steel will be a world wide release.
 
The UK situation doesn't have anything to do with a US release. I think if we were getting one we'd probably know by now, but who knows.
 
'Restructuring Specialist' Hilco bought HMV's £176 millions debt for £40 millions, not the business itself.

Another thing, HMV will turn into a supermarket to paid off remaining balance. It is reported that the high street retailer could sell up to half of their 230 stores nationwide with Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury's all believed to be interested in taking over stores and converting them into their own brand convenience stores.

No I was simply saying Amazon uk will probably get it depending on the HMV situation. So while we do not know about a world wide release for Skyfall, Amazon Germany has it and Amazon UK will probably get it. So its very likely that the list of retailers will grow
