If you pre-ordered FFXIII-3 CE at Target so you get the $5 gift card at time of pickup, use that $5 gift card (really $4 since you paid $1 to get $5), to knock it down to $14.99.

 
The Thor steelbook at Best Buy is showing as "In Store Only" at the moment. :shame:

Not sure why that's the case, though I can only hope that changes in the next week, so it's at least order-able for in-store pickup to secure a copy.    Otherwise, I guess I'll have to run to Best Buy over lunch on the 25th to secure one.

Question about steelbooks and Best Buy.

I know when they have a new release that gets a steelbook treatment it is quite possible for my store to sell through all copies, especially if it's limited like Zero Dark Thirty. However other times like with the Batman Steels they have 30+ left over. Recently the media CD/DVD/Video Game sections have gotten reduced in my store so they only keep a few copies of each movie (DVD/Blu-rays now are combined).

Where are they sending the leftover steelbooks? Do they get sent back to a warehouse and become online only at that point? Or do they get destroyed? Or does the manufacturer get them back?

I'm just curious because I passed on a few recently that were pulled (I was waiting on a sale). I'm not upset about it but just curious as to what happens to them

 
The leftover are sold to other distributor.  If you look at the Dollar Generals topic you see that people got BBY exclusive steelbook.

Yeah, but that seems fluky. The only BB exclusive steel that's shown up at DG was MIB3. The others were WM exclusives (Battle: LA, the earlier RE ones).

 
Oops thought it was Feb. 18th not March.  Also the Frozen SB is just speculations and no confirmation yet.  I'll certainly grab the Thor 2 SB next week though.   :D/

 
Both Hunger games and Thor DW steelbooks are up for pre order at best buy but there is no listing for Frozen.

Same here about getting Thief, though if it's a Target SB, let's hope it's more prolific than the FFXIII-3 SB was.

The Thor DW SB is showing as "in-store only", so it can't be pre-ordered on the website. Perhaps in-store, though nothing online.

I didn't see any cards at BBY yesterday, I did see some for Catching Fire though.

Also, we've the Bourne movies as steelbooks at Target when Bourne Legacy was released. Fast and The Furious we know went through Best Buy recently. Jurassic Park was a three-movie bundle from Best Buy.

They're on Amazon but will be sold everywhere, just like the last release.

I already have the Target wave of Bourne steelbooks, but I might pick up the rest of these. Hopefully somewhere will have them for $10 each.

That's a bummer. I think I'll wait then and see if I can find it at a cheaper price used down the road on Gohastings or a similar site.
