It's $29.99 online at the moment, so it may be cheaper on release day, though next week's ad hasn't been posted yet.  My guess is it should be $22.99-$24.99 in-store on release, though as X-Men: DOFP was $17.99 and Edge of Tomorrow as $22.99, anything is possible for cost on this one.

Looks like I guessed right then. Guess if I want the 3D version of DOS EE, I'll have to see if WBShop does a sale on it for $20 like they did last year for AUJ EE.

Also found out that Hercules with The Rock didn't seem to do much for 3D, so it won't be a real issue passing on the 3D version to get the WM steelbook.

Let's face it if they didn't use the Stark, Lannister, or Targaryen covers ppl would complain a bunch. However it's nice that they introduced two new houses. Although I can't make up my mind between the Martell or Tyrell covers. Even though Oberyn was awesome in season 4, it seems like Dorne will be a big plot point in season 5 and possibly we will see the Greyjoys more. So season 5 covers for Greyjoy and Martell seems like a likely choice. I did miss out on the Greyjoy cover for season 2 as well. I'm kinda thinking that the Tyrell cover will be the least liked and maybe hardest to find down the road.

Anybody else in a pickle in deciding which cover to get next? So far here is my set:

Season 1: Stark

Season 2: Lannister

Season 3: Targaryen

 
Will go Targaryen as I have the Stark and Lannister sets already.

Any box art for that Hobbit EE release? Going to probably put that on my Christmas list.
 
Did anyone import the 3D Smaug EE steelbook? Opinions on the quality? I saw an unboxing and it's starting to look like the most cost efficient way to do a the NA steel is not 3D and it will difficult to add the additional 3d discs to it.

Edit: Ordered it from Amazon UK since it was 3 bucks more than the US non SB edition. Just wish it wasn't the jumbo size book and didn't have a black insert.

So what's everyone's plan for picking up steelbooks tomorrow? I know The Hobbit:DOS steel is coming out tomorrow at Target. The OP also lists a bunch releasing titles for the 4th as well. Where can we buy these? Best buy, Target, Walmart?

Thanks for the reminder. I had "Santa" aka my fiance pick up the Hobbit DOS steel.

 
I picked up the Hobbit:DOS steel and it's pretty nice but I wish the cover had more than just Bilbo. But I also popped over to Best Buy afterwards. Looks like Best buy restocked some older steelbooks and they have some new ones too. I picked up Evil Dead (original), The Town, The Departed, Psycho, Blues Brothers, The Big Lebowski, and Shaun of the Dead. Got em all for 7.99-9.99. The newer releases are supposed to be 14.99 but Best buy has them on sale for 9.99. With the exception of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World which was 14.99.

Yeah it looks like they released some more steelbooks and some look like they have digital copies too. Not sure if I need 3 copies of Big Lebowski though.
 
I just checked the ones I picked up and the new batch should all have digital copies. Evil Dead, The Town and The Departed did not have digital copies. Although The Town includes the Extended Cut.

Honestly I rarely use my digital copies. Anybody interested in the DC for Psycho, Blues Brothers, Shaun of the Dead or Big Lebowski?

I saw none in the front section by the checkout. But in electronics there was still 4 of them after I snagged one. This was also at like 7pm yesterday. I think most people can pick up one easily this week.

It's hit or miss if Target puts the steelbooks at the front registers, though they're always back in electronics.

The store I went to yesterday morning had 12+ on-hand, which is more than I've seen for other releases of recent.
