I wonder if people who have had their halloween lights up all October will leave them past next wednesday.

So need to get a haircut....

You really shouldn't leave all the Halloween lights up past...Halloween. X-Mas lights going up after Thanksgiving and up until New Years is common though.

Has anyone been in that election thread in the Politics sections? It is like a lion's den in there; people get their jimmies all kinds of rustled in there.
$15 co-pay uppins :whee:
$0 co-pay. $0 deductible. Perks of for working a hospital. I have no idea how much I -pay- for insurance each month. It's taken out automatically and I never look at my pay stub anymore.

I can't wait for great insurance. I pay 120 a month for 30.00 copay and 2500 deductible. My fiancé just started working at a new hospital being called one of the most advanced on the east coast. Once we're hitched hellloooo insurance.

Damn...back when I was at Panasonic 10 years ago I had a $10 copay and only paid about 40/mo for insurance. Made the insurance my parents had thru Ford look like bare bones essential

I have great insurance through UT. I'm having a vasectomy tomorrow which, I think, will only cost me $70 out of pocket. That's a steal for being sterile!

Now that I think on it, I do have a $20 co-pay. But no deductible.

Don't feel like playing Infamous tonight. At least we're nearly at the weekend. (albeit a rainy one.)

The Complete Bond bluray collection dropped from $180 to $150 on Amazon.

Also, the Dark Knight trilogy 5 disc bluray collection is currently $29 to preorder on Amazon. List price is $52 but it looks like the normal price will probably be around $39.99.

*pokes head into OTT*

Found a guys debit card today. Do I call the number on the back of the card, tell them I found it and shred it? Or do I try to get in touch with him to bring him the card. Just don't really know how to handle the situation (that and I don't want to bring him the card, have him charge a bunch of stuff and tell his card company some random guy rang it all up and then brought it back to him lol).

Deep Discount has it for $148 with no tax or shipping (Amazon charges me tax). I bought it from there a few weeks back after the price skyrocketed on Amazon. Arrived pretty damn quickly too.

As much as I love Bond, I still haven't seen the last three Craig films. They started in 2007? Yeah, that was when we moved and had a second kid..

As a kid I read all the Ian Fleming (and John Gardner!) books, then watched all the films on TBS.

Casino Royale was great, Quantum Of Solace was kind of meh but Skyfall looks good. I also like that the Bond 50 set comes with a blank sleeve meant to hold Skyfall when it eventually releases. Be nice if they released a special disc-only version that matches the style of the rest of the set's discs.

Quantum of Solace was...meh. Skyfall is looking good I agree and I would go so far as to say that Craig is one of the better Bonds in the franchise history, which doesn't hurt.

I think I am one of the few people who really liked Quantum. It wasn't the best Bond film, but it was a great coda to Casino.

That's actually my problem with it, it's a coda to Casino Royale. It does not stand on its own at all. Watched back to back with Casino it's just fine but watched along it's barely half a movie.

Surprisingly I saw some good reviews for it but I'm not a fan of Jerry O'Connell and I think he's the new Ted McGinley so I'll be avoiding it.

My tv is on TBS from Seinfeld and some Tyler Perry show came on. I've never heard a louder, obtrusive, and overly used laugh track. Every time a character finishes a sentence it blasts the speakers.

I take it you didn't like Ted McGinley on Married with Children. I'm not the biggest Jerry O'Connell fan, but the concept interests me enough that I think it might be enjoyable.

Big news guys - I've been promoted to Arch Mage of Skyrim!

No, its not that. It's that the pervasive theory thanks to jumptheshark.com was that Ted McGinley's mere presence caused shows to be canceled, not picked up, or to jump the shark. Jerry O'Connell seems to be a very cool person in real life and I love him on the Stern show (and he's an avid video gamer despite being p-whipped by Rebecca Romijn btw) but he just seems to be the kiss of death for most shows.

Send em my way

Gotcha. I know what you means when it comes to watching canceled shows. It's part of the reason I have kind of given up on Last Resort. I did end up watching Mockingbird Lane and thought it was a fairly decent pilot. I liked the depth they added to the characters in the new version and Portia De Rossi is smoking hot on the show.

Wait till the pipe cleaning commences!

Seriously, you need to "purge the system" of little Mak, Jr's. I had a friend who had one, and he didn't get them all out...9 monts later, child #4.
Who has heard of XCOM? From what I'm hearing it is supposed to be sick, but I don't know much about it.
Put it this way...I had the day off, played it all day and I didnt realize it is now midnight, and I have to get up at 5:00am.

Yeah, it's that good!

Turn based, squad command with resource management and research.

And Aliens!

And Perma-death!!!

I need to go to bed!

Perma-death doesn't sound like a great thing to win fans. I will need to check it out though; apparently it is, as the cool kids would say, the "bee's knees".

Why isn't there much more hype for it?
I'm about to take a vicodin. First time. I hope it's fun!
Vicodin upset my stomach. I got through the whole vas and afterwards on just a few Tramadols.

Pain actually wasn't anywhere nearly as bad as I feared.
I still haven't done the post-vas check yet. Of course, I had next to zero sperm to begin with, so...

Congratz on getting it done, though.

Considering Quantum of Solaces run time compared to previous Bond movies, it almost was half a Bond movie. It felt too short for my taste to be a Bond movie

In really not hurting at all, just slightly uncomfortable. I mostly just wanted to try the vicodin, which just put me to sleep at 9pm. I'm now up at 4am.. Great

And I'm definitely going for the sperm check. My wife gets pregnant if I just look at her funny.
