From the Nuveem Forums:

"We're aware that most of our international community is having a big time wondering if the Saints Row key that we're providing will be regionally exclusive or not.

In a first moment, the Saints Row IV pre-purchase rights that we sold until now, will, indeed, be redeemed as regional keys, but we've already taken action in order to protect the best interests and rights of our foreign users, so, soon after the game is launched we guarantee that all the foreign users that pre-purchased with us will receive a worldwide redeemable key.

It is important to state though, that all the keys that will be sold AFTER the game launch, will be regionally blocked.

If there is any question that remains unanswered please let us know.

Best Regards

Nuuvem Team"

The game already launched on Brazil so my best guess is that the keys are region locked, i wouldn't risk it.
Thanks. Wanted to play it safe and make sure first.

Steam is trolling me with the booster packs they given me, I got a Terraria booster pack today which is useless to me since I already have the lvl 5 badge for it, last month I got a booster pack for Portal 2 which I also happened to have a lvl 5 badge for

I understand that, but because it's an inconvenience to me I'm gonna call them cocks regardless.

I just find hilarious and a little hypocrite that they decided to region lock steam codes but the version that sells on the Brazilian Steam Store (or any other except for the Russian) is still region free. I personally have nothing against region locked games, i understand that if a game is much cheaper on a region the publisher has all the rights to lock the game to avoid losing money, what pisses me off is when publishers wait until the release date to apply such rules. Your game is cheaper on Russia and you want to lock it?, fine by me, but make your rules clear before even putting the game on any retailer and avoid the shitstorm.

While i agree the Nuveem clearly states that their games are meant to be sell games to their region, in this case nothing showed that this game could have been region locked at release because the version sold on the Brazilian store was and still is region free.

TL;DR this is Deep Silver clearly getting late to the party and realizing the goofed up the locking and the pricing on their gamer, mad props to Nuveem for trying to fix a mess that isn't theirs.
Thing is, they don't need to region lock it on Steam for Brazilians because Steam already has measures in place to prevent people from outside of Brazil from getting it at Brazil pricing. Nuuvem does not. They put up their terms and then really make absolutely no effort whatsoever to verify or enforce them. Also there's not a bunch of people on Reddit and other sites carrying on about getting the game so much cheaper with Brazil pricing through Steam. There were however people making a huge deal and drawing attention to getting it cheaper on Nuuvem.

Really it's at least partially the community's fault. If people are doing shit that they know they really shouldn't be doing then they might want to STFU about it. If anything, I'm kind of shocked it took any publisher this long to notice. People talking about it online are not subtle at all.

AFAIK that is the lowest. That's my jump in price too so I'm tempted, but then there's the whole DLC thing. Is the DLC anything special worth waiting for a cheap GOTY version or no?
Tiny Tina's is definitely worth it IMO, but I really enjoyed all of it. You may be waiting a while for a GOTY, however, since they're still planning on additional DLC.

Then I guess it boils down to the age old question, will I realistically play it in the near future?

Or even the question Is it worth spending $5 to not feel left out every time Asheskitty posts her Golden Shower codes?

(or whatever the hell they are called)

Except the steam trading exists and isn't going anywhere, locking Steam keys but ignoring the tradable copies and the trading market is like trying to cover the sun with a finger, i can myself get a pre-order copy for about $40 by just doing a little browsing on Outpost and Steamtrades, heck even here on the trading forums.

Yes tradable copies from Brazil are meant to be bought only for Brazilians (to put an example), but as long as they're region free nothing avoids them from selling them or trading them at the current Brazilian price. Cool, they avoid losing money by locking the keys but as long as the tradable copies are free they still have a huge fluke of money.

Trading is one thing, but an entire store on the internet freely selling codes to anyone and everyone when they aren't supposed to that then gets posted and reposted on legitimate deal sites and twitter etc etc. is quite another.

The game deals Reddit in particular will shut you down in a hot minute if you post a trade or if a Russian key reseller posts there, but they happily allow Nuuvem and help promote it.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't have region locked for Steam too, I'm just saying that everyone making the Nuuvem deal so high profile gave them more reason to draw their attention there.

According to what your intent is. While I did play through all the DLC with my Siren, I haven't touched any side quests for the other 5 characters. That's mainly because I'm in the process of grinding leveling them up to get them all into UVHM.

Codes? (codes... ?)

I've seen Fast Five, I know the Brazilians have a ton of money and live it up every day. Don't know how they managed to convince Steam they needed cheaper pricing.

Origin is actually having a sale and some decent stuff is 50% off. Origin and decent sales, say what?!

https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/browse/pc-download/on-sale#28

I am tempted to pick up FIFA 12 or 13 though since it isn't available anywhere else. Anyone have any opinions on which Sims 3 DLC are actually worth getting?
Supernatural because it has zombies... I think...right?

I was looking at the KoA Weapons pack...50% off...not very CAGly but I am pre-ordering the new Amnesia so maybe I need to retire from CAG.

I got the worst possible Booster pack of in the history of all Booster packs yesterday... McPixel.

As soon as I saw what my new notification was for, I wanted Steam to take it back immediately. Quitsies, no anti-quitsies, no startsies! I briefly thought about submitting a request to remove the McPixel booster from my inventory, but then cooler heads prevailed and I sold it for GabeN currency ($0.21).

Hahaha... McPixel. Seriously, it just feels dirty to receive a booster pack from that game. It's kind of like when you were 6 years old and the smelly kid with his shoes always untied was invite to your Birthday by your Mom unknowingly. Then he gives you a used Kermit the frog watch wrapped in toilet paper with a broken strap and Kermit's hour hand had worked itself loose inside the plastic dome. So disappointing.

See, there's where you went wrong.

Ambitions (more careers), Generations (more social interactions and family stuff), and World Adventures (vacation worlds, tomb exploring "puzzles," lots of other misc stuff) add the most content to the base game. Seasons and Supernatural give the game more variety, but are less essential. You probably will get bored with the seasonal festivals after doing each one once. University is fun, but has limited replayability. I found Pets to be more annoying than fun, and Showtime is worthless unless you have lots of friends who also play TS3, and it causes some conflicts with Seasons in my game.

And FIFA 13 is excellent. The create-a-player career mode is top notch.

Add me to the Disgruntled McPixel Booster club. I purposely avoided idling that game, in the hopes that still having available drops would prevent me from getting said booster.

Basically fully agreed, but I just wanted to offer a differing opinion on University having limited replay value. It adds a full new aspect to things. Back in Sims 2, I almost spent more time making college sims than I did in neighborhoods. Out of all the EPs, I'd hands down say that University offers the most replay value.

But that means you know Paul Walker and Vin Diesel stole all the money by hooking up their cars to the vault and driving away with it

Finally working on piecing my computer together, probs have to run Linux to update to windows 8 (shit, for $70 you can do worse) and finally be able to idle for cards

I got delegated some Black Helicopter tasking responsibility while some folks are on vacation. :bouncy:
NOS (for Novus Ordo Seclorum and Nitro Oxide Systems) = so connected for acronyms; same starting letters!

I knew there was some kind of conspiracy theory going on!

Even involved w/ cars, too!

And Kitty's in charge of black helicopters!

OMG!

{looks for tinfoil hat}

ESRB: GTA V Features
Exposed Penises,
Marijuana Use,
and a Brief Instance of Necrophilia

Marijuana use? Do they know that kids play this game?
It's totally legal in Valve-land.

Tsk tsk, trying to be a lewd as Saints Row, are you GTA?

Ain't even gonna be funny though man. Just gonna be a sausage fest cult.
You ever check out some of those Sims nekkid mods? They usually come in two varieties, soft and erect. Seems kind of odd to me to have a whole town full of sims on Viagra at attention at all times.

Well, personally I'll take a purple dildo over an exposed penis any day of the week. . . .
I'm sure that can be arranged.

I didn't see anyone comment on whether To The Moon is any good. So...?
I picked it up during the summer sale but haven't gotten to play it yet. From what I hear it's really excellent, assuming you are ok with a game that is more exposition than gameplay. I know UtopianMachine loved it, and I haven't heard anyone who's played it say anything but great things about it. It's only been bundled once by IndieRoyale, so if you are interested I say it's worth picking up ^_^

Bolded for emphasis, "more exposition than gameplay". Non-game game, whatever you want to call it. It's a mix of adventure and a bit of exploration, nothing in the way of mind bending puzzles, just good solid dialogue and story telling. I may have teared up a bit at the end... just maybe.

I recommend playing through it in one or two sittings, as opposed to several shorter ones... as you'll retain the little details better and hopefully find it more emotionally impacting, if you're into that kind of game that is. I have about 4'ish hours on record. Highly recommended. The music and characters are a delight.

Thanks for the pseudo-recommendation. The description had me intrigued, so I have no problem paying $2.50 spending $2.49 in card cash for a good story. It costs more than that to go watch a movie, or even to buy most e-books.

EDIT: Thanks Crazyhowie for sealing the deal.
