Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numberous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

Games, when possible, will have their SKU number posted. Please post any SKU numbers you have that aren't already in the list!

Also, some stores will be able to give you a price adjustment if your clearance game(s) drop-- if not, you can always try to return and rebuy the game(s).

Yesterday picked up Overlord II (PS3) for $4.20 (after 30% off).

Today, went to a further away TRU that I knew had a larger gaming section. Picked up a few things :D (All prices before 30% off)
Prof Layton and the Curious Village (DS) - $25
Scrabble (DS) - $13
Final Fantasy: Echoes of Time (DS) - $13
NCAA March Madness 08 (PS3) - $5 (30% didn't come off, had to get them to readjust it afterwards)
Tiger Woods PGA 10 (PS3) - $6 (08 was marked as $6 too, 09 was marked at $30, lol!)
NCAA Football 08 (PS3) - $6 (30% didn't come off, had to get them to readjust it afterwards)
Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection (PS3) - $3
Big Brain Academy (Wii) - $10
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Wii) - $5

All in all, total was $66.03 (including tax, after 30% off). Still a big iffy if I should have gotten FF and Prof Layton, but I figured I wouldn't be able to find either of those cheaper for awhile and both interested me.

A flip heads up to all the folks with some Gamestop credit or a $25 GC courtesy E-Rewards.

Used copies of :ps3: :360: :wii: DJ Hero (Game Only) are $19.99 ($17.99 with Power Up) at GS. The TIV's of these games at TRU are $29.10, $29.30, and $29.60 respectively. However, you will have to give the sales associate the UPC for them to enter it to their systems which happen to be...

Most of my local Gamestops had at least one game only copy for each system so your success will pretty much depend on whether your local TRU will accept trade ins with the UPC only.

Most of these games were clearanced out a while back, so it's unlikely there are that many copies (or any, for that matter) available.

Found a few at my stores, but nothing really worth getting. I used to buy any game below $5 during the last gen (explains why I have such a huge backlog on my ps2, xbx, and gcn) but now I don't have the time so I try to be much more picky about what I buy.

My holiday list this year is for Vanquish, Enslaved, Blood Stone, and NBA 2K11.

damn, had all day yesterday to scope this out but didn't peep the thread (he'll I wasn't even subsrcibed to this, but I am now!) Gonna go in about an hour with hopes of getting something nice/that I don't already have..
 
My local TRU didn't have the 30% off signs up at all but it was active in their system. The employees were in the process of doing markdowns and looking for the bigger items such as rock band bundles and Xbox 360 hardware (didn't catch which hardware it was though). I did manage to find a few things though, none of which were marked:

4 games for about $20 after tax wasn't too bad. The only real stinker among the group is Quantum but for $4 I'll give it a shot.
 
Stopped by a local store today. Had the 30% off signs everywhere.

Bought 2 Scene It Trivia games to play with the GF for $4.20 each as well as :ps3: Overload II and :360: Hawx for ~$4.

Saw a few others like Bigs 2 and Tiger Woods but wasn't interested.
 
Only saw a couple of clearance-priced games (all in the glass case) at the local store. After reading this thread I expected to find a clearance bin or something. I suppose some games may have been unmarked, but I wasn't about to pull everything out to scan it. :)

Congrats to those who have found good deals.
 
Went looking for Rock Band 1/2 at the Chapel Hill Mall, OH TRU but all I found that was semi interesting was Lego Rock Band :360: that would have been 12 and change after the 30%...

I thought so. Though the games are all Plat Hits, Lost Planet is the Colonies edition, which features additional content not available in the original game. Plus, you're getting three good (or great, depending on what you like) games for just over $4 each.

My local TRU has clamshell 3 month Xbox Live cards for $10.98 each. Sadly, the 30% off does not seem to work with them. Didn't have time or inclination to argue with a 19 year old working the register, might try back tonight.

At $7.69 each, they'd be a nice deal, but at 11 bucks each better off just buying a year card via amazon.

I could be wrong, but I believe this 30% off is only good on games, not accessories.
 
Yeah, that's what the cashier said. I kinda figured that since there was a HUGE sign above the rack they sat on saying "30% off all Video games ending with a 8 or 0".

I know it isn't a game, just seemed like it'd work. Still a decent deal for those who go month to month.

I had a huge argument with a stupid seller. I asked him to check the price for the ps3 version of batman AA collector edition. He told me it is 49.99. I explained to him that the prixe dropped and asked him to scan the game, but the guy refused. I told him I was going to buy the game. When he scaned the price and it showed 20.98 the guy was speechless. I almost laughed at him. Bastard!!

I was partially kidding, I was referring to the infamous 10 off any 360 game that was week 1 and part of the Halo reach promo that took 10 off every 360 game on the receipt.

It had no expiration date on it but the coupon/card stopped working the 3rd or so day it was out.

Could only find Dirt 2 (forgot about this....pleasantly surprised), Red Alert 3, and Tomb Raider. Was hoping for Fear 2 and Godfather 2. Cashier was very surprised that each ended up being 4.20....mentioned how I got like two of two or three for the price of one/two.

I was also hoping to find a guitar hero controller for 10 dollars like I found at normal price off I-5 in San Diego...I would have bought it back then, but it was too big for the airplane.
 
well they didnt have overlord 2 and forgot to check for fear 2 today, but i ended up getting force unleashed for $12 soo wasnt too bad.
 
I picked up :wii:Overlord: Dark Legend for $3.50 today (got the last one) - that's all I could find.

It makes me sad that Little King's Story is around $12 after the 30% off and there's a stack of 5 or so copies sitting on the shelf, gathering dust.

Anybody want to help out a following CAG and pick up a :wii:Rygar: Battle of Argus for me? $8.00 shipped work? (media mail is fine with me) PM me please, if you can help!

Just went to the North 54th Street, Chandler location.

Didn't find anything of note or that was on the deep discount, don't see any signs that they ever had any in stock.
 
Haven't had a chance to hit TRU until today. Couldn't find anything but :ps3:Bejing for $5.00 (before 30%) oh well, had some good B2G1 previously
