Just went into my local TRU and spotted their PC section looking barren, and cheap too!

Found Batman Arkham City, The Sims 3 (Pets and Ambitions too), Battlefield 3, Call of Duty MW3, Starcraft II, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and RAGE all on PC for $9.98 each.

I know there's a TRU Clearance thread, but this seemed big enough to post about on its own.

I know this pic is blurry, but it's the best I could do:

Can get a pic of my Starcraft II receipt if you'd like too.

Lucky dude. Both my Fry's always want to call shit in.

Does anybody price match receipts? o_O

Also, I ordered from TRU friday. The order hasn't made any change on there website or in new emails. Kind of weird. What sucks is I put it in before the price change. I plan to have TRU pricematch when it arrives but now I'm wondering if it actually will. They wouldn't be the first people with a shitty online inventory.
yep its gone. just got ready to send the links to my phone to go PM at BB...its no where on the site :whistle2:(
Saves me a trip to BB I guess
I find it weird many people are asking about the inventories, and PM's of local TRU's, and BB's when it would be much easier just to call the store and ask. Even if some random person told you it was there, it may be gone by the time you go. The only way to know is to call.
That's breaking a major rule of CAG: NEVER CALL.
That's breaking a major rule of CAG: NEVER CALL.
And calling isnt a sure fire way either. There's been plenty of times I've called stores for random items and was told it wasnt in stock and when you get to the store its sitting there. Calling on awesome deals is a good way to alert employees to keep the item for themselves.

I went to the local TRU and they had 2 copies of Rage left. I asked about Diablo and they said they sold out. The guy told me to price match at Best Buy. I asked him about them calling to confirm inventory and he said not to worry about it. I went 3 blocks to Best Buy and showed them the website. The guy argued that the $9.99 was the sale price after the 70% off for also buying Pokemon Black 2. When I pointed out that 70% off $60 makes it $18 he called his manager. She gave me the same speech but called TRU. The girl who answered at customer service didn't transfer the BB manager to the games department, just told her they no longer sell video games.

Price matching is a battle. I get pissed off every time I try to do it. It's honestly just not worth it.

I feel sorry for you, the Best Buys around Utah do it most of the time without any questions or managers.

Since I was in the neighborhood, I pit-stopped at the Roseville, MI TRU and they actually had Rage, Ass Creed Rev, and Batdude City along with WOW Cata. Of course, all the GOOD stuff was gone.

I dont know if it would help anyone but if it does help I would be happy to scan and upload my printed copy of the Skyrim page later tonight so that you could print it out and take it with you since the webpage is down. Just let me know if anyone is interested and I will do it when I get home tonight. It would be very late tonight before I could do it so keep in mind that it would not be of any use to anyone until tomorrow morning. Got to love working the closing shift at work. I also have reciepts of Skyrim, Diablo 3, and Starcraft 2 from BestBuy if those pictures would help anyone out but the same timing as the print copy of the Skyrim webpage applies. Good Luck with your hunting and price matching everyone.

got my bestbuy to match diablo III. apparently, one of the managers has told all of the employees to deny the match, however another manager(?) allowed it on the spot (he was next to my cashier at the time). got lucky i guess :D

went to my local TRU here in Stockton CA. all they had was like 3 copies of Assassin's creed rev, 2 copie of sims 3 expansion and full priced mist's of panderia.

I don't care for assassin's creed at least not yet. So I din't buy anything. I mainly just wanted MW3 or better yet Batman:AC I suppose.

I have a Starcraft II, CoD MW3, Battlefield 3, and a Sims 3 plus pets that I was able to pick up hoping to help out some cags. Don't think I will have enough time to play them, so first PM's to ask for them can buy. I can ship it or email the code to redeem it. Buyer pays for shipping.
Toysrus.com has a couple other PC games on it's site, I'm hoping we see Borderlands 2 drop
Which games? I looked over their entire online PC catalog and didn't notice any changes [maybe I missed them].

Batman:AC + AA download is $10 on Amazon. Use the code OCTOFUN1 to bring it down to $7.50.

that would be great. i'd be willing to try with a print of the page for skyrim.

I believe I am your real life friend. Just don't ask me to prove it because I like to keep my real life and internet lives exclusive of one another.

Accept right now.

Stockton had Battlefield 3 on Saturday.

Wal-Mart price matched Battlefield 3 Premium Edition. The cashier initially got the OK to price match, but when she saw that it was a $50 difference in price, she decided to re-check with her manager. They initially tried to claim that it was an online only price, but I was persistent. They took me over to Customer Service, who called up Toys-R-Us to check their price. After being on hold forever, they confirmed the price and rang it up. All-told, it took about 45 minutes.

Waiting in line was funny, though, since a lady called out another couple of women on being in the express lane with ~50 items. It devolved into a shouting match, with insults like "hillbilly" and "b*tch" being thrown about. When I was waiting on the phone with TRU, the woman that called out the Express Lane abuser was asking for an escort to her car in case the hillbilly women tried to jump her in the parking lot.

Geez. I hate Walmart.

Sounds like a huge pain in the ass, but for the Premium Edition at $10, that's a pretty good catch.

Pricematched at Best Buy with no problems, boyfriend & I each walked out with a copy of Diablo 3. Had no luck with any nearby TRU, so glad this went smoothly! Employee looked on our phones, then checked TRU site to see for himself...didn't bother calling local stores.

This was in Huntington Station, NY.

I already had BF3 by then for 10 dollars from EA itself.

Finally ended my streak of getting denied from BB/Walmart/Target, went to a BB another CAG near me told me about, managed to snag the last copy of SC2 out of the big 3! (Skyrim/D3/SC2). Only satisfied cuz I finally got it to work. - pic of game & receipt:

Only thing bad I would say would be that D3 & Skyrim were both totally cleaned out, by hoarders most likely. Last copy of SC2 there. Basically I went to the gaming area desk and the lady was like hell nah boo go to the front register I ain't doin' that that's too big a price difference, ain't tryna lose my job lmao. There were two people at the register and I asked for the PM, they didn't even need to see my phone or anything they just looked on the computer inventory, not on the TRU website either. So apparently BB does have TRU inventory/prices in their system now apparently, contrary to what some people have said. Maybe that's just this BB. Anyways, it came up as 9.98 and they were like damn alright you got it. Suffice to say I was relieved lol. Already have SC2 so it will probably be up for trade/sale unless a friend wants it.

You got overcharged by a penny.
You got overcharged by a penny.
Those bastards.

Anyways BB still had everything else in stock, like MW3, so if your looking for other games you could certainly PM since that's up on the site. Tho TRU should carry them

Just got back from both Bestbuy and Toys R us in Deptford. TRU had the starcraft battle chest, Batman AC, and Rage. At Bestbuy I was unable to get a price match because the Toys R us are considered clearance prices.

Yeah, I was surprised it went smoothly. While I was waiting for him to get manager approval another guy next to me was trying to get Skyrim price matched and the associate helping him was calling TRU lol.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. I got lucky and pricematched SC2 at BB. Tomorrow I might grow some balls and attempt to pricematch D3.

I don't have a PC that can run these games, but I'll sure as hell be ready whenever I upgrade my video card.

My toys r us has the Diablo Battle Chest in stock. Is it worth it at $9.99? I bet my current PC can run these old games.

Why are you afraid to ask to PM Diablo, especially when you stated you already PM'ed Starcraft.

I went to my TRU today and they cleared out all their PC games two weeks ago. So I went over the BB to see about PM the games and BB told me that they will not and can not PM anything that has to do with TRU and any BB that does is breaking policy. I'm very pissed

Damn, that's the kinda shit that pisses me off too. They should just be straight-forward and say the price difference is too much....like your really breaking some honor code PM policy, gtfo with that. Lame

Have you played any Diablo 2? The graphics, while obviously a bit dated, aren't that bad. The gameplay is awesome. I didn't much like Diablo 1, but Diablo 2 is certainly worth a play.
Why are you afraid to ask to PM Diablo, especially when you stated you already PM'ed Starcraft.
I did 7 upgrade and save blurays (the limit is 5), stacked two of the $3 Universal 100th Anniversary manufacturers coupons on top of the upgrade and save coupons, bought the Kinect zoom for $5 with coupon (they needed to do a manager override because coupon didn't work), and pricematched SC2 all at once. I didn't want to add another pricematch of $9.99 down from $59.99. Isn't that like an eighty-something percent difference? I've been turned down for pricematches at Best Buy much smaller than that. And as I said, I don't even have a PC to run these games.

Nope. My total playtime for all Blizzard games is zero. It's not that I don't like them. It's that I know I will love them and become addicted.

Checked my TRU and they were out of mostly everything. They had some sims, one Assassins Creed and one Batman but I don't have a CPU to play them on so it isn't worth it. Was really only looking into buying one or two and reselling it for some profit.
I know this is a dumb question will they work on a Macbook? Lol
Surprisingly the PC section in the Best Buy that I went to (Downey, CA) Had quite a few games that were mac-compatible. Only one from this promo that I remember is RAGE, which is a hell of a game. ;)

Not sure if the promo applies to max games though. =/

No problem man, it's definitely worth looking into while there's still a possibility of getting a price match. ;)

I believe all of the Blizzard games (Diablo, Starcraft) are PC/Mac.
