True Blood Official Discussion: Season 3 starts Sun. June 13th!
Actually the thing that upsets me most is that all of these male characters are supposed to be attracted to Sookie!
If you are implying guys shouldn't be attracted to sookie, you might be as gay as your roommate.
About the werewolf stuff, from what I've heard from fans of the books
wolfmen
also exist in this universe. If that's true then I really hope they make an appearance. That'd be awesome.
like benecio del toro style wolfmen or something more like the howling ? the howling werewolves were badass.
If you are implying guys shouldn't be attracted to sookie, you might be as gay as your roommate.
Agreed.

It did surprise me when I heard that Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were engaged. Somehow I completely missed that little fact. Explains some of the on-screen chemistry.
Agreed.
I've dated more attractive women than Anna Paquin. She is a 6, maybe a 5. And you know what...I must be gay because I think Alcide is out of her league. Although I have a charming personality, I am not in as good of shape or as good looking as him and I have dated hotter chicks. :)

I know they have killed off the majority of the attractive women on the show, but come on; It has become "Everyone Loves Sookie"

Paquin's an easy 7, but when she smiles it downgrades her a bit. As for the killing off the attractive women, they really have, but I'm still pretty damn in love with Jessica.

I believe when she opens her mouth it goes down... Even then... yeah 6 or 5. Now if we were back when she was in X-men sure I'd agree with you guys.

Hell if anything it explains them 2 banging like porn stars together last episode.

People just need to wash their pussy and get over the gay stuff in the show.

Look how much hetero sex has gone on between all 3 seasons...the gay stuff is a drop in the bucket so get over it.

But if we don't hate those evil gays what can we blame everything on? Ourselves? CLEARLY NO GOOD SIR!
worthless without pics.
If you are ever in the Chicago area, I will show you pics. I will not post my exs pics without their permission (even if a couple of them are evil).

Actually one of my exes looks a lot like the preacher's wife...But she was one of the evil ones.
the ending made the show for me very good stuff. itll be interesting to see the fallout from that.
Yes, I am very curious about the fallout from that!
I will not spoil it, but I heard from a friend what Sookie is (at least in the books). When he told me what she is (not just a waitress), I thought he was joking because it sounded so dumb. Hopefully it makes sense and works in the context of the story when they reveal it! I'm going to keep an open mind.

The books also have Goblins, and two sets of magical humans (Witches & Wiccans). The witches & wiccans are probably going to play a part in next season, since there is one on the show now. I'm glad Alan didn't include the goblins though.

That wooden bullet scene was great, but where the hell did he get them? I mean Jason isn't exactly the brightest guy in the world, where did he even get the idea, let alone ability, to make wooden bullets?

Who is the witch?

I think they showed Jason in an earlier episode with the shotgun and wooden bullets - I know we've seen that gun before.
Put that in a spoiler tag.

The
new waitress
is the witch I believe.
That would make sense I guess. Too bad - they could have found someone much hotter for the role though.

He got em back in Season 2 from the Fellowship of the gun. Good thing he hung onto those.

This last episode was pretty slow, but that ending, DAMN! Loved it.

There's a lot of storylines that haven't done much except eat up screen time. I really loved the ending though so overall I guess it was a good episode.
S*** just got real!
Haha, thats literally what I said on Twitter and Facebook after that episode. It was a magnificent ending.

To paraphrase:

"We will eat your children...and now to the weather, Tiffany." haha
Who is the witch?

the new blond waitress at Merlotte's, the one who Tara ran into in the rape crisis meeting.

See below about the wooden bullets.

He pulled out a wooden box that had the Fellowship logo engraved on it, and inside the box were some wooden bullets (more than 2, if I remember right), his yellow sweats from his training and a Bible. That happened two episodes back, I think.

I do agree that the ending of the episode was pretty amazing. Nice to see
the blond woman who was is the VLA spokesperson enjoying a little snack of real blood from a willing participant, which makes her quite a hypocrite from her "only True Blood" statement earlier.

I'm curious if
the guards in the body armor and the guns are humans or vamps, though I'm guessing vamps wouldn't use guns, so they're likely to be humans.

Excuse that typo. I had just woken up when I wrote that.

Also, they're trying really hard to break Tara this season. With all the shit she's gone though, I feel like they won't let up until she's roommates with Lafayette's mom in the crazy house.

Russell Edgington is my Hero! That ending was the best scene of the entire series.
I love that he is caring around the remains of Talbot with him in a few scenes.

Finally got a chance to watch last night's episode, and man, it was great! I don't know how anybody could consider it a slow episode considering right from the beginning you had all the stuff with the VLA and Eric, and Russell finding out about Talbot. I even made a comment to my wife that out of nowhere, this season all of a sudden had a clear direction and plot.

It seems like since the last 15 minutes of the previous episode a ton of stuff has happened, and lots of huge plot points have been set into motion. Just from these last two episodes alone, I'm easily enjoying this season more than last season and all the Mary-Ann crap that just dragged on forever. It seems like there's a very defined direction things are headed in, and it's been awesome so far!

it wouldnt be too big of a loss if they killed her though aside from her horrible southern accent her character is just annoying as fuck this season. it was cool to see sam man up too holy shit i wonder
if being around his brother is causing that or just his general hate towads werewolves.

That topless woman in the limo at the end was smoking. Too bad they had to break away to show Russel on the news.

They could be newborn vampires. Even a newborn will aim and shoot faster and more accurately than the best human. The only ways to kill a vampire in this series are stakes and decapitation. Kevlar is going to stop any wood. Heavy clothing protects them from silver. I'm not sure how to stop the decapitation angle. Were they wearing much armor around the shoulders and heads besides helmets and vests?

...

I'm genuinely disappointed in Russell. Before his on air segment, his enemy was a vampire 1/3 his age and a 100 year old hooker. Now, everybody is on his ass. Poorly played.
When the hell is Andy getting that cast off ?

It makes sense he still has is on within the timeline the story takes place in, as it's only been about 2-3 weeks since Maryanne first tried to sacrifice Sam when it happened.

I agree with that article about the new waitress chick. I hope she doesn't
turn into the next Maryann. We all saw how that turned out.

Also, after everything he's gone though, I REALLY wanna like Tommy and feel some sort of sympathy for him, but the writers are hellbent into turning him into an obnoxious prick everytime he steps on-screen. Please writers, don't squander Tommy.
