Hey Gamers !! I know it's been noted on a few other threads, but I wanted to personally confirm that the game deals are LIVE IN STORE!! After reading what others have said, I decided to take a chance since I'm only 5 mins away. Of course YMMV !!
I walked over to the electronics dept, (which surprisingly wasn't busy), asked the lady for XCOM Enemy Unknown for Xbox 360....(all prepared to play dumb if it rang up at $60)....but it rang up at $25.00 !! Plus tax it came to $27.33.
I didn't need anything else, since I racked up earlier in the day via Amazon & will be heading to the MS Store tonight. (@ 20min drive from my home)
Plus I couldn't find anyone that has lowered XCOM under $35 other than Walmart. I'm in Tempe, AZ....& all the games are still in the cases marked as they normally would be.
Take a chance if you like.....but I can't stress enough YMMV !!!

Game on everyone !!!

Just came back from the Houston/humble texas store on beltway 8. Everything was behind the glass case and the employees were unaware of the current glitch for games.

Went for Sly collection and forza, sadly Sly was no where to be found. Picked up Transformers: FoC, and Forza horizon instead.

Tried a few other no gaming items that are suppose to go on sale tonight like controllers and it was a no go.

So if anyone knows anouther place i can get the sly collection for 10 bucks let me know.

Went to Walmart here on Oahu

got NBA2k13 and Xcom for $25 each. Just asked for the games behind the glass and he took it to the register. I asked him what the total was and he said "52.36" and I was like yep I'll take em. Also got Brave bluray for $8 so dvd/blurays work too.

Was nervous about trying my luck with the hoards but this worked out perfectly.
Very dumb question (sorry for having to ask):

Does anyone price match BF ads? I thought Target did last year. Pretty sure Best Buy doesn't.

Thanks in advance.
I tried the Max Payne 3 Kmart ad for pricematch, they won't allow it. Oh well, got it for $15, still ok, also got NBA 2k13!

Thanks for the heads-up! Tekken Tag 2, Dishonored, AC3, Kinect Sports Ultimate, LBP Karting, and MOH Warfighter - and no lines or BF bullshit! WOO-HOO!

Just got back from Walmart with Lego Batman 2, Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Red Dead Redemption GotY Edition! The first Walmart wouldn't even sell me the games and just said no. I was ok with that. Went to the second one 10 minutes away, cut the line and got my games no problem. My friend also got GoW: Saga and Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

The ad said more games would be on sale but I looked inside all the pallets and the same games in the ad was on sale, nothing else.

Happy I got my stuff early. Time to eat my Thanksgiving dinner! :)

Heads-up for Walmart in El Dorado, KS: games are good to go! They don't have plastic protection around the red cases (they still had on the movies though, in case that's what you are looking for), I got the games I wanted, went through self-checkout and it rang the bf prices just fine!!!
No go at Saratoga springs UT location. Games coming in on pallets and under guard. There will be a queue with employees asking what you want and handing them to you. Very small amount of games at this point but told more coming. Not hopeful for GoW saga, only 4 in the pallet that was out.
I got Borderlands 2 at the Riverton, UT store for $25. Just asked for a price check on the game and I got it without issue.
Well, I replied because I was sharing my opinion as well, and now that your argument has been nullified you'll play possum by pretending you didn't do the same thing with my post.
I love the flippers who respond get over it. Wow you are so smart. Waste your time for the few dollars. Get over it and hope you never buy that many games in front on me. All you guys are trash.
My store would not sell video games from ad prior to 8pm. YMMV
. Elk Grove Village, IL is the same. Plus, that store has a very peculiar smell.
But some kid will get it from his dad.

From ebay...

For double the price...

But the kid doesn't know where his dad got it from, so in the end all is well that ends well.
Wow that same thing said again from a flipper. So wrong.

I'm tempted to go now, but our weather is a bit rough so I'm not expecting chaos tonight. Then there's the possibility that the employees won't play ball. Also, the games I want (R&C Collection, Forza Horrizon) are going on sale at the same time on Amazon, so worst case I'll order there.

Back from my local Walmart and they have some of the games, movies and shows listed already at the advertised AD price. Had to fight with a cashier, CSM, and two department managers to honor the Best Buy's ad on Smallville season 10... The ad states which items are doorbuster deals & when they will go on sale. One of the higher management(assistant+) had to be called in to honor the price based on date and stated reasonings.

Walked away with a shelved SOCOM 4 (Greatest Hits) and Smallville season 10 for roughly $23(after tax).

Pick up 7 PS3/360 games at my local Wal-Mart in Pullman, WA. Sales are working here, just grabbed them from the case :). Thanks for the heads up guys!

Don't ask employees whether it's ok or not bf prices; the lady on mine also said "we should wait till 8pm" (it's her job, what else can she say?) but since the plastic wrapping on the cases were already gone, and there was no "guard" besides them, I just got it and went through self-checkout. There's no need to go through the cashier and add one more obstacle to this...

I just bought Dishonored, Borderlands 2, NFS: Most Wanted, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Dance Central 3 for $125 @ the McKinney, TX WM off of 380! Saved $175. No lines, no fuss!

Also price matched the 1600 MS Points cards. Bought five of them!!

Thanks CAG!!

How did you get the Target Ad to PM it? I thought they revised it?

Bought SpecOps: The Line for $15 and some of the $1.96 DVD's that were not in the shrink wrap just in the electronics section.

Its only 2:23PM in Hawaii.

Damn, looks like they pulled stuff over here in Louisville... at this point all the crazies are in full effect; not worth it to me to try a different store.
I'd suggest he find a job other than video game flipping to support his family.
im gonna have to agree with hamass here. if you NEED to flip than you probably need to get into another line of work. most flippers do it to support their hobby of gaming. in my younger days i was all about flipping because it was my main income for gaming (as a kid).

now that i got a real job i could give a fuck about flipping and it's ultra low returns. its not worth the time to drive back and forth making 2-5 dollars profit (in store credit!)

i get on deals because they are deals.

Was at Walmart around 3pm and bought one of the games I wanted to see if it rang up for the discounted price or not.

It rang up 25 instead of 59.99 I was insanely happy.

I went to the Oldsmar, Fl WM and they had all the BF deals in sealed boxes with employes making sure people didn't open them.

But it wasn't very busy so that's a plus.
Yeah, because there won't be any copies of WWE 13 anywhere else, right? Also it's a full month before Xmas.

Get over it.
the way i see it is father in example isn't a cag and isn't lurking the internet to find loopholes in things. technically this deal isn't suppose to be live until 8pm, being the upstanding citizen he is, he has dinner with his family then proceeds to go to walmart and wait for their early black friday sale to start. as far as he knows the store has these doorbusters in stock as the sale hasn't even started yet. unbeknownst to him is that el hoardo cag has arrived at noon and cleaned out the store inventory long before father has even arrived at the store.

basically this is a early deal/loophole/exploit as the sale isn't suppose to be until 8pm. i can't condone hoarding for the sake of hoarding.

Just made a second round and picked up Brave, Gran Turismo 5, God of War Saga and the Ninja Blender. Gran Turismo 5 was in the plastic with an orange sticker, but I just slipped my hand in and pulled it out and it rung up as $5.

just got back from my walmart and it does seem prices are in effect (found a copy of Battle Los Angeles blu ray and scanned at $4) but all the games have been pulled or purchased from shelves and only available in the covered pallets am just gonna try it on amazon
How did you get the Target Ad to PM it? I thought they revised it?
Can you expand on how you made this happen?

No go at the Walmart in Torrance, CA. They knew about games ringing up at Black Friday prices. Sigh.

I scanned Dark Knight on BD and it rang up at the Black Friday price, so folks may be able to buy Blu-rays at that price right now.
How did you get the Target Ad to PM it? I thought they revised it?
Revised it to what? My Target ad I got this morning has them for $10.

Thanks for the heads up. I was able to get Dishonored, Ghost Recon Future Solider, XCOM, and Spec Ops with only minimal hassle. A manager was telling people that the games in the cases weren't on sale until the designated times; I'm not sure if she knew about the "error" or was simply stating what the correct times should be.

Walked into Walmart and everyone was waiting in line for the games to be unwrapped @ 8PM. LOL, I went up to an employee, had him grab me Spec Ops: The Line, Transformers: FOCT, and Lego Batman 2 and then had him check me out. Walked right past everyone in line cheerfully and now I am home!

Has anyone found FIFA 13 for PS 3, I went like at 2:00 pm and there was none no ps3 or xbox 360 version, got borderlands 2 $25, max Payne 3 $15 gta IV CE $15 and red dead GOTY $15, I may go on a second round to see if I can find FIFA 13 for ps3

You sound like a low life to me.

I had no problem at New Cut and Outer Loop and Preston in Hillview this morning.
You sound like a low life to me.
I'm a low life because I was smart and asked an employee to go to the games case, which no one was at, grab me some games and check out without waiting in line? How so?

That is the only game that i was not able to get, i was able to pickup madden 13, NCAA13, Forza horizon, xcom enemy unknown, borderlands 2, and dishonored. But sadly no Fifa 13 :(. I saw some copies in a blocked up section in the front where there was a gigantic line, but i just went straight to the back where the electronics are. I asked one of the guys in the back to grab me the games out of the case, and the guy then looked at me and said "just so you know these games are full price", i just played dumb and said thats fine.. Yet when he rung me up they all came up as the BF prices, and as soon as I paid for my games the supervisor came over with a memo note and told him he isnt allowed to sell any of these video games early.. So I guess I lucked out.

He's probably in line right now; hence his pissy attitude.

I didn't want anything from Walmart, but a friend of mine went and our local Walmart has all the video games under lock and key in a display case. You need to wait or a clerk to unlock it and give you what you want. Maybe your guys Walmart was different, but I don't even think there is a way to grab a game and self checkout.

Maybe it's different at every Walmart.

Many thanks to the OP for this. I was able to snag the Brave blu-ray, GT5 XL, Dishonored, and even a Catchphrase game (I probably lucked out there as I grabbed it from the BF display and took a chance on being able to purchase it). You saved me a ton of potential hassle this evening. Now I only have to go back for one more item and I'm pretty well done with Black Friday.
He's probably in line right now; hence his pissy attitude.
Am I a low life for doing the same thing but at 12:30 today? I dont think so. My wife and I were tipping off people looking at the games section. Many others got in on this deal.
I'm a low life because I was smart and asked an employee to go to the games case, which no one was at, grab me some games and check out without waiting in line? How so?
Yeah man, I'm confused about that statement as well. I did the exact same thing. 10 minute drive there & back, 5 minutes total in store (I simply asked to check a price on WWE 13 & Forza Horizon, then got rung up in the electronics register), and I have my games & Brave Blu-Ray ($8.95) before anyone else (everyone in the store) believes they are allowed to get the same items at the same price I paid. Walked away and didn't say another word to anyone in store.

If anyone walked in wanting a game expecting to pay the full price, they'd be just as shocked as we all are when the register rung up the Black Friday price. Confirmed in both their price checkers and the registers at 6:30pm local time in St. Louis, MO.

Thanks again, CAG! :applause:
